A wizard is born...

When I wake up, I find myself on the side of a lake surrounded by a beautiful green forest.

The first thing I do is to look at my left hand. Won't you know it, there it was, the Omnitrix! "Great, so I have the watch.

Too bad I won't be able to use it. I'll have to find someone responsible but most importantly with a lot of loyalty towards me. I only have 3 tries if the person becomes a crazy power-hungry dick.

Maybe a kid wouldn't be too bad, after all, the original owner was only 10 when he first got it.

"Ben saved the universe a bunch of times, so maybe I can find someone just like him."

An orphan would be preferable I can adopt him and one day, when he's ready, pass it to. "Yeah, that doesn't seem like a bad plan."

I get up and walk to the edge of the lake. When I see my reflection I smile with satisfaction.

"Fuck, I really look like Chris Woods! I can totally get used to this face."

"Can't say the same about these clothes though. What the hell am I wearing; I look like a beggar in these rags.

Yeah no! I'll have to make normal clothes when I get the chance.

"Okay, time for some magic!"

I should probably go to a more secluded place. This lakeside is way too wide open, I can't be seen using magic, at least not yet.

Imagine if I'm in an European country where the catholic church rules over.. The mere thought makes me cringe. "Yeah, no, I don't wanna be burned at the stake."

I walk into the forest looking for a cave where I can practice my craft. It takes me half an hour. But I finally find one on the side of a mountain, hidden within a waterfall. "This place is perfect! Exactly what I was hoping for."

I walk inside getting myself a little bit wet in the process. "Whatever I'll use the wind spell larer." I'll be back to normal in no time."

Inside the cave, there is nothing but darkness. "This darkness is perfect to try the 'Lumos spell on." I swallow my nerves. Then I close my eyes, open my right hand and say the spell Out loud.

"LUMOS."

The moment I say the word. I can feel a powerful energy surging through my body.

Spreading fast from my stomach to my arm then to my right hand. Finally, I feel a tingle on my fingers. When I open my eyes, I see it. A bright, white ball-shaped peace of light.

"This is so freaking cool!!. I figured it would be amazing, but man, this is something else."

"I can't wait to do this in front of one of those priests bastards, they'll probably think I'm the second coming of Jesus or something."

"Hahaha..

"Okay, okay let's not get too carried away. I can't be doing magic in public for now."

Now, let's see what else I can do!

I focus on the energy in my right hand and willed it to spend.

At first, nothing happens, so I focus some more. Little by little the ball starts to spend getting bigger, brighter.

"Yesss! I scream, when the whole cave is visible to my eyes.

"Ok, let's try levitating it."

I once again focus on my head, this time picturing the ball leaving my palm, and taking to the air.

The thing shuts out like a rocket, making in the process the cave as bright as day.

"Awesome! Let's try another spell, maybe this time, something more distractive."

I walk all the way to the end of the cave. I then aim, with my right hand once more, at the rocky wall before me, and say.

"BONBARDA"

KABOOM!!!

The whole thing comes crashing down. Leaving nothing but a giant hole in its wake.

I smile bitterly. "Okay, note to self. Never use this spell unless absolutely necessary."

As I realize I can pretty much use any, and all spells I can master to remember, I spend the whole day practicing inside the cave.

The next day I decide it's time to test out my so-called immortality.

As I walk around the magic campfire, I made inside the cave earlier with the fire spell, 'Insendio. I start to ramble out loud.

"Okay, I have to be pragmatic about this."

"Yes I got the magic and the watch, but the immortality, I'm not completely sure though."

"What if that self-proclaimed God lied to me? Gave me the obvious so I didn't doubt him."

"If one day I go into battle, stupidly thinking I can't die. And end up dying in a ditch somewhere. It will be nobody's fault my mine owns."

I lift my right hand, then I look around the cave in search of something big enough to sit on.

With a smile on my face, I focus on the heavy object and form the spell inside my head. (Wingardium Leviosa.)

As the big rock starts to levitate off the ground.

I maneuver it in the air and place it in front of the campfire.

When it's perfectly placed, I proceed to sit on it and think of my options.

(To my knowledge, the only way to test immortality is to die. Or to get a fatal wound. Neither of which sound remotely appealing to me. On the other hand, I'm not too keen on dying for a second time.)

"So let's see what happens when I cut something like a finger or toe?"

"If I'm immortal, it should grow back right? God, I hope I'm right, cuz it's probably going to hurt like a bitch!"

With newfound determination, I take a long, deep breath. I then proceed to take off my weird animal skin boots.

Finally, I point my index finger at my little toe and say.

"SEPCTUMSEMPRA."

"MOTHER FUCKER!!"

The moment the toe was cut off, my screams echoed throughout the cave.

I took deep breaths to suppress the pain. Thankfully, it faded rather quickly.

Surprisingly enough, a new toe started to grow on my bare feet. Three seconds later, I have a fall-grown little toe.

"Now that's what I'm talking about!!!!"

"I'm sorry I ever doubted you, Sir God."

(Even though you were kind of dumb and an egotistical ass, I will say I pray on your name every night, in thanks.)

I put my boot back on. Then I get up. With a wave of my hand, I put off the magic fire burning in front of me. Finally, I exit the cave, it's time to find some natives.

The year is 1001. Magnus son of Ivar used to be a Viking. The man has traveled across the seas, conquering many places under the name of his king, Harald the first of Denmark.

For most of his life, Magnus killed and looted like most Vikings.

But he was tired now.

Tired of the bloodshed, the stench of rotting corpses, the screaming of women and children; the hate he saw on the faces of the people he hurt.

Most of all, he was tired of this God-forsaken world, that knew nothing but war.

The man wanted a second chance, so he escaped the battlefield and move to a little village in the countryside.

A village so small, it did not have a name.

However, because of that very reason, it was the best hiding place for him to start over and repent for the pain he had once caused.

"Today is a good day. Not a cloud in the sky."

As he walks around the village he is greeted by every person he passes.

"God morning Magnus."

"Good indeed." He replies every time.

"Yo! Magnus."

A broad, white man, with long blond hair and green eyes, standing next to a big cart. Yells his name.

Magnus walks to him and asks him with a smile.

"Do you need help moving the cart Ragnar?"

'Indeed, if it's not too much trouble of course.'

The man point at the bottom of the cart and says.

"The left wheel got stuck in the mud yesterday and now, no matter what I do, it won't budge.

"No trouble at all, move aside we'll push it together in the count of three."

One, two, THREE.

With their strength colliding, the cart didn't take long to move forward. As the wheel easily gets unstuck.

"Thank you Magnus you were a big help." Like always. I've been trying to move this bastard all morning. Come to my house tonight. My wife will make you a feast. And I have leftover booze from the last village gathering."

"I will certainly come if I'm not too busy. I have to go now." Thank your wife for me in advance."

Magnus said his farewells and headed for the woods. Maybe today he could finally catch that 'deer. Yes, the one who keeps getting away.

"It's so different from what I'm used to. So much green. (I have been walking for more than an hour and still nothing but trees.) "Man I wish there was a read, even if it was made out of dirt!"

As I pass a pine tree, for, the million times, I hear something different. "Are those footsteps?" I say under my breath.

I walk faster, in the direction of the footsteps. A minute later, I find a beautiful white deer eating grass. "Wow, he's a beauty. "

Maybe I can tame it with my magic!

(In Harry Potter they tamed all sorts of beasts.)

"I'm certain if I touch it with my energy, it will want to come with me."

Right as I'm about to walk forward to interact with the animal.

Across from me. Pass the deer, a tall, handsome, black hair, white man in his mid-30s, fires an arrow at the beautiful beast.

I raise my right hand, as fast as I can, aim at the speeding arrow and yell. ARRESTO MOMENTUM.

The arrow begins to slow down until it completely stops, inches from the deer's neck.

I felt happy my spell worked in time to save the deer, but horrified, by the fact that I let someone see me use magic.

(I'm not ready to kill anyone. Not even to protect my secret.)

(Is there something else I can do?) Come on think, think. Oh right, there is that! Ovibliation)

"Fuck, I almost forgot I can obivliate him. I'm so glad I remembered that spell." It's going to come in handy more often than not."

(Killing, will always be a last resort. No way am I becoming a crazy murderer.)

Knowing I can easily obliviate the heck out of him. I walk towers the animal with a smile on my face.

The deer didn't seem afraid of me. For that matter, neither did the human. He looked surprised but never afraid. (Peculiar.)

In front of the beast. I lift my head and catch the arrow that stood frozen on the air, this entire time.

The iron head looked quite strong, if it had hit the deer it would have probably killed it, no doubt.

I pat the deer on the head and it looks at me with its big brown eyes. I smile at him and say. "From now on you'll be my companion, your name will be Snow."

The deer bows, when I bestow him his name.

"Wow." It's all I can muster. This was a fantastic site.

The human puts down his bow the surprise on his face transforming into bewilderment.

("What on earth is happening".)Was probably the only thing going through his head. I walk past Snow and head towards the flabbergasted middle-aged man.

The man takes out his sword and puts it between us. If I move any closer he will strike me down. That's what his thoughts say, anyway.

Because I only remembered that Legilimency is a way to read thought. That's all I get. Still is better than nothing.

I read his mind, he doesn't speak English, but with my magic, I learn his language quite easily. (Legilimency is frightening. Imagine what I'll be able to do when I'm back in my time. Scary...)

Finally, I raise my hands in the air and say. "My name is Gideon. I meant you no harm." "Can you tell me your name?"

He looks undecided for a minute until he says.

"My name is Magnus son of Ivar." Who are you, and how did you stop my arrow? (He points the sword at me, as he says) Are you from the realm of the Gods? If so, what is your purpose here?

I give him a reassuring smile and say.

"You could say That, but no! I'm not a God, nor am I one of your Norse Gods. My purpose here is simply to make the world a better, happier, and safer place."

He seems surprised by my statement. He takes a minute to sink it in, then asks.

"What about the arrow? if you're not a God then you must be a witch! (He states matter of faculty.)

"So tell me then. Why would a witch want to make the world better? They bring nothing but pain and misery to all around them. What makes you any different?"

"Choose your words carefully, and know I can tell if your lying." He says, the tip of his sword threatening my stomach.

The smile never left my face, which surprises him considering my situation. "I stopped the arrow with magic." His eyebrows grow closer but in his head his thinking.

(Magic, this person wilds such a thing. I must know what he wants. He can be a threat to the village)

Yes, I'm a witch, or to put it more precisely I'm a wizard. What makes me different? Why don't I show you?

I look at the sword and will it to change its form, easily transfigurating it into a snake.

Magnus try's to fight it but it's no use. The viper wraps itself around him, then it turns into a tight rope.

Completely immobilized by the rope Magnus falls and ends up in a sitting position. I get closer to the man who even though thinks this must be his end, doesn't show a trace of fear. (Very interesting indeed)

Snow comes closer and stands nets to me. He looks at his aggressor in the eyes and chooses to forgive him. "Good boy. Forgiveness is a virtue."

I wild a chair to form from the fallen branches beneath me. I sit down and cross my legs. Finally, I face Magnus and speak.

"I read your mind. I can tell you have done terrible things in your life. But you're trying to do better. Trying your hardest to become a better person, and atone for the errors of the past."

(I take a dramatic pose like Sir God) and after a few seconds, I finally say.

"In my eyes, that makes you (I point dramatically, at him with my index finger.) a person worth saving."

"Be proud Magnus son of Ivar. For you shall be my first apprentice
