Chapter 50

It was noon when the aloof Felix, Luca’s assistant made an unexpected appearance in their department. His presence alone caused everyone restless, especially the female associates. They were tormented by envy when he approached Jennet’s desk. “Ms Lockhart, Mr Tybelg require your presence in his office.” His words were polite and calm.

Jennet was uneasy in her chair because Felix had never approached anyone within the company. He was only out attending important clients on Luca’s behalf. So, when he appeared to rely on a message from Luca, she was restless. “Okay,” she replied. Every eye was eyeing her, pressuring her, evaluating her and cursing her.

When Felix refused to move while she cleared her desk, she was perplexed. He stood by her desk like a formidable bodyguard. “Are you waiting for me? I can go by myself,” she told him.
