1 "Rich people really have loose screws."

Knock knock knock

The eerie feeling and disturbing gentle knocks woke Jerrod up.

Knock knock knock

"Again?"

Jerrod opened his eyes, but he didn't move.

It was 1 in the morning, but he could hear knocks from his cabinet. He lives alone, which made him wonder what caused the knocking sound.

It was not the first time he had heard such a knock. For the whole month, he could hear different noises from his cabinet.

Initially, he would inspect, believing that a rodent or vermin was lurking in his cabinet, but he found nothing. He then cleaned out the cabinet and installed a mouse trap to see if he could finally catch the culprit who was creating such a disturbance. He expected to find out fairly soon, but it just caused him sleepless nights.

Knock knock knock

"Really! What is it? Why are you disturbing my sleep?"

Jerrod kicked the blanket and forced himself to get up. He bravely walked in front of his cabinet, thinking he would see nothing inside again.

"Seriously! I am going to throw–. The Fuuuuuuuuuck!"

Jerrod fell on his butt and screamed at the top of his lungs.

He never thought that his deep voice could scream so high.

He crawled backwards until he bumped his back against the wall.

"G-ghost!"

Jerrod was tremendously afraid, yet his eyes were curiously drawn to the translucent thing squatting down within his cabinet.

He intended to shut his eyes, but he ended up witnessing the complete features of the apparition.

The ghost was dressed as a lady in a white gown, but she wasn't as feminine as the white ladies he'd seen in movies. The translucent lady has well-defined muscles that contrast with her long, straight black hair and attractive features.

"M-mustache?"

Jerrod could eventually take his gaze away from the ghost after noticing hairs over the ghost's upper lips.

"Is this some kind of prank? Cut it out!"

He yelled again as he searched for a hidden camera, and he felt even worse when he realized he was witnessing a real ghost.

Creeeeek

Jerrod flinched when his cabinet door slowly closed while the transparent lady was staring straight at him.

A chill runs down his spine after he ends up having eye contact with the ghost.

Tak!

The minute the cabinet door closed, Jerrod hurriedly sprang up and raced out of his house, barefooted.

"Shit! I left my phone!"

He crouched down in front of his car as his body still trembled in fear.

Fortunately, he managed to grab his car key before leaving his house.

He pants as he goes inside his car to calm himself before driving away.

"That was fucking scary! What was that?"

He kept yelling at himself to forget what he had seen, but the image of the translucent entity was so vivid in his mind that it was difficult for him to forget. He also continuously checks his back, fearful that the ghost has followed him.

He even chanted different prayers, even though he doesn't believe in any.

"Fuuuuuuuuccckkk!"

Jerrod drove his car without a destination and later decided to kill time by parking his car in a park. He didn't have anywhere else to go because he didn't have his wallet, and he didn't fancy going to his parents' or friends' houses while he was barefoot and only wearing his pajamas.

"The fuck! Ghosts are real?"

He got out of his car and rolled onto the grass carpet of the playground like a crazy adult playing at the park at 2 am.

"Ghosts only appear at night, right? I can still go back to my house, right? Aaaaah!!"

He rolled onto the grass carpet and lay there until the sun came up.

"Sir, are you alright?"

A patrol officer checked on him because now that the sun was up, everyone could see him laying on the grass and was watching him as if he was a lunatic.

Like a zombie, he got up from lying down and responded to the police officer with low energy.

"I am fine, sir. Thank you."

Jerrod couldn't sleep a wink and was just there, lying on the grass, contemplating his life.

Why did he have to have a ghost in his cabinet?

Even though he doesn't want to return to his house, he still needs to get dressed for work.

It was not like his work was that great, but it was the only company he could have away from his parents' grasp.

"Hello? Lady Ghost?"

Jerrod tipped his toes and slowly went inside to his own home.

Despite the fact that he lives alone, his house is large enough for a family to stay. He loves decorating and creating different playrooms for himself. That is why he got himself a large home, which he was regretting at the moment.

His bedroom was on the second floor of his house, and all of his important things were there.

Jerrod paused for a moment and stared up at his stairs, thinking if it was a good idea to go up and return to his room, where he first saw the ghost.

"You can have my house. I just need my things." Jerrod said politely into the air. He then walked backwards toward his living room and started switching on all of his lights and even his TV to create noise.

He gulped in and stood in front of the stairs again. He wanted to hurry and leave his house immediately, but he didn't have the courage to step up the stairs.

He breathed in and breathed out first before he went up the stairs at high speed.

He went into his room with his eyes closed. He was still frightened by the thought that the ghost might appear again. He randomly grabbed his things and clothes without opening his eyes, while his mouth couldn't help but repeat "Wow." in a high tone. It was his way of distracting himself.

He only opened his eyes when he dragged his vault, where he kept all of his money and important documents, out of his room. He felt like he was looting his own things and left everything open without closing the lights, TV, and even his house door.

In his car, he struggled to change his pajamas into his suit. And he only scattered his things in the back seat.

"I need to find a new home. Condo or apartment. Which is free." he desperately exclaimed.

With his tired eyes, he scrolled on to his phone to urgently search for a new place. He doesn't care if he can't use his house again, as he just wants to get away from the ghost.

"You can have my house! Just don't fucking follow me!"

He aggressively clicked on his phone to buy a random apartment and went straight there.

"Good morning! Are you sure you want to buy the unit right away without checking it?"

The realtor asked with his judging eyes. He looked at Jerrod from head to toe, thinking that he was dealing with a crazy person first thing in the morning, but still acting professional in front of Jerrod.

"Yes, sure. Here are my documents. Please fill everything up for me. I don't have the energy to do so."

To speed up the transaction, Jerrod gave the realtor his whole file of personal documents. He then decides to have a short tour of the empty small unit, but he regrets it right away.

"AAAAAAAAAHHHH Don't follow me!"

Jerrod screamed after seeing the ghost again. He didn't expect that once he opened the kitchen cabinet, the lady ghost with a mustache would say hi to him again.

Jerrod snatched his documents from the realtor and left the place with his car.

The realtor was dumbfounded at Jerrod's actions and just watched him leave the place, leaving the realtor his deposit, which Jerrod paid on an impulse.

"Rich people really have loose screws."
