Tinkering

Hael walked off the stage and headed to the judge. He bowed when he was directly in front of them. He gave them his handkerchief and waited.

The judges were still dumbfounded by what happened. A green defeating a Yellow how absurd was that? Hael became impatient and tried to grab their attention "Ehem"

The judges finally came back to their senses and wrote the report.

Hael walked off the stage passing by the kids who frowned and laughed at his rank.

They still had a dumbfounded looks on their face. But the ones who failed was more shocked by the result they were an entire rank higher than Hael, but they still managed to fail.

After the exam, Hael headed home feeling kinda tired. He immediately fell asleep as soon as he closed his eyes.

The next day, Hael wanted to try tinkering with Exhezo and magic spells.

Exhezo are the building blocks of magic. Once a magician collect Exhezo, it immediately turns into a strand. These strands are used to draw the magic circle which is the catalyst of magic itself.

Hael didn't want to create spells nor do some major changes in spells. He will only use the Exhezo formations he can use. In simple terms, his poison dart only do what it's name suggest, but you can of course make it to explode upon contact , shatter or set the target person aflame.

Which is something he can do.

The thing he can do for now is copy one effect of his magic and apply it to another spell. He knows the symbols for explosion and stun, but you need to pay attention to even the tiniest of details for the desired effect to occur. Hael doesn't really remember the micro details so he gave up on those effect.

Hael wanted to put the poison effect from the darts to the bind skill, so it will apply poison when it binds someone.

Hael formed the magic spell in his hands, but didn't release it.

Hael then started looking for the shape of a pentagon with lines going across each side. This is the shape of the poison effect. Hael searched for a while until finding something in similar shape. He removed the formation and released the spell. If it casted only a dart, he found the right shape.

The spell released and formed a dart. Hael smiled from the effect, but was immediately disappointed when it exploded and released poison fumes in the air.

Hael immediately casted cure and searched again, this time carefully.

After a few minutes of failure, Hael managed to find the poison formation. It took him many tries before finally finding only one formation.

Hael decided to study after he is done making this spell.

This time Hael needed to make the entrance of the poison which will be thorns

This time Hael only needed to change the shape of the spell which is incredibly easy.

Hael only needed to change it's shape to something pointy.

That should be the case but he is adding thorns which isn't changing the shape of the spell, but adding...yeah.

If he removed mass from the bind it will just break off and wouldn't bind the target at all.

He needed to add mass which is pretty easy, but you need to find the right spot to place it or the magic circle will break.

Hael searched and studied the most plausible way where it would be and managed to do it in only 2 tries.

Hael finished the spell and was satisfied. He opened his stats panel and noticed a new spell in it. His bind spell and the dart didn't vanished, another spell just got added to his magic.

It was named Poison Vine and the malia cost is just 100 more than the normal bind.

Hael tried it on a wooden board and waited for the poison to release. After the bind skill was casted, it was proven effective and working.

transparent liquid dripped from the most point part of the thorn.

Hael smiled and didn't want to make another spell until he learned from the library.

After cleaning himself and readying up, Hael immediately head off to the library to learn more about creating spells. As he came from another world, there were a lot of things he knew that he can use to his advantage. Imagine making a spell with the same strength as a nuclear bomb. Such spell doesn't exist for now, as spells are made if you know it's properties and builds.

Regardless of this world or the previous one, Hael is a bookworm. He likes reading a lot of books and knows a lot of useless knowledge and information. Reading is basically his way in escaping reality. Thus Hael can make a lot of spells.

Hael arrived at the library without any tumbles. He immediately searched for the section where he can find the books he needed. After getting everything he needed, Hael sat on a vacant seat and immediately started reading.
