Quick Appearance of Cold Husband

"Who are you?" his cold voice echoed as Arlize raised her head to look at her husband, Damien, who suddenly uttered such cold words in the middle of her arranging his tie.

Arlize narrowed her eyes at the man in front of her, who had lost his childishness, as the childish composure of the man in front of her a while ago was replaced with those ice-cold expressions, enough to freeze a normal person on the spot.

It was a pity that Arlize was never a normal person in the first place.

"Damien," Arlize started to say, finishing by arranging the tie on her husband's suit.

Arlize distanced herself a little bit from her childish husband, who was treating her coldly out of the blue. "If you were fooling around right now before you go to work, stop it. I am not fazed about this right now, hon." Arlize's normally calm and gentle voice when dealing with her husband over the years they were together was now gone as it was replaced by a cold tone.

The man in front of her also narrowed his eyes as he loosened the tie that had been deliberately tightened too tightly by her.

"I am not fooling around with you, and certainly, I am not the one you call 'Hon'." His cold voice started on irritating Arlize as she scratched the back of her ear lightly, slightly glaring at Damien but still holding her aloofness.

"If you are not my man, then who are you?Arlize asked back, quite having a serious expression on her face. Damien, on the other hand, was slightly stunned for a few moments before the originally cold expression on her husband's face suddenly reddened as a familiar, silly smile made its way onto Damien's lips.

"I'm your man?" Damien asked in a silly gesture.

Arlize narrowed her eyes at the sudden change that her husband was displaying once again. "Who are you?" she coldly asked.

Damien, who had already walked and hugged her waist, pouted his lips, grievance visible on his face. "You don't know your husband, whom you called your man a while ago?" Damien grievously asked.

Arlize tilted her head slightly as she chuckled, irritation forming between her brows.

"Are you really fooling around with me?" anger was visible in Arlize's tone as she looked over at her husband, who continued pouting his lips while hugging her waist.

Damien furrowed his brows, slightly confused after hearing what she said.

Arlize's eyes narrowed down after seeing such an act.

"I don't know." Damien's words were cut off as the originally pouting lips suddenly turned cold. As Arlize looked over at the glare the man that was hugging her waist was shooting at her, Arlize frowned as she flung the hand that was hugging her waist harshly.

"I am not having your act right now. Get out and just work," Arlize angrily said, walking over to one of the sofas to sit down and turn on the TV. Arlize started watching the movie displayed on the TV, ignoring the confusion that made its way onto her husband's face while touching his chest, where his heart beat.

If it were in the past and Arlize saw such a scene, she would surely go and ask her husband worriedly what was wrong, like usual, but with the way that her husband is acting right now, Arlize can't pay any attention to this guy who seemed to be fooling around.

So with an angry expression on her face, Damien, who reverted to his cold self all of a sudden, once again left the room without knowing what was currently going on with the mind of the woman who seemed to claim herself as his wife.

When Damien went out of the room, the first thing that he did was go straight to where his parents were. Looking over at the couple that were joyfully chatting,

Damien's eyes narrowed as he went beside his parents with big strides.

"Dad," Damien started to say after having himself seated in front of his parents.

Mr. Loui and Mrs. Loui were slightly stunned after being treated coldly for the first time after their son's accident, and it was even their son who got that childish temper after that one accident.

"Son? Mrs. Lou cautiously asked.

Damien's eyes further narrowed down as he pressed the confusion that was rising inside his heart.

"I have my own name, Mom," Damien said, still in a cold tone. If one stranger looked at this scene from this perspective, they would think that Damien was such an unfilial son. But Damien had been like this in the first place since his birth, so his parents never doubted anything. Just that, the couple looked at the man sitting in front of them with wide eyes.

Eyes filled with excitement, regret, and the slightest disappointment did not miss Damien's intuitive eyes.

The confusion was getting deeper and deeper inside his heart.

He needed an answer.

He tightly pursed his lips into a thin line as he coldly looked over at the parents sitting in front of him. "What is with the woman in my room?" Damien asked.

The parents, who were still excited for their son to finally come back after a long time, calmed down a little bit after hearing what their son said. Their joyful expression turned serious and gloomy as they peeked at their son, who also wore a gloomy expression.

Both Mr. Loui and Mrs. Loui shrank their necks after looking at their gloomy son.

It was only a few minutes before Mrs. Loui finally dared to say, "That... that is the bride you find for yourself, son." Mrs. Loui slowly responded, as if wanting her son to slowly digest what she said first.

But what her son said made her jaw drop.

"I did not hear it clearly," Mrs. Loui said, since she really can't believe what her son just said. After five years of being husband and wife, even though her son gained his truthful consciousness, doesn't he feel anything towards the woman he desperately wanted to marry as his wife back then?

But it seemed Mrs. Loui was overthinking too much, as her son said such cruel words once again: "I will not let her be my wife in my truthful self. Divorce papers will be processed, please inform that woman watching TV in my room. That's all."

Every word that Damien uttered was full of coldness. Even though his chest was slightly hurting, he did not mind it as he stood up and nodded towards his parents. "I will be leaving to work now" was all he said lastly before he left the room.
