Maduville

"How much is missing to get to the city, Jusy?" I want to get to town as soon as possible to start seeing where I am. 'After all, I don't know exactly the location of the cities or towns of the kingdom. Geography was not my specialty.'

"We're almost there, do you see the path that comes out of the woods?" Indicate the exit of this forest. "Well, just outside here, you can already see the city walls of Maduville." Finally.

"By the way, Jusy, what's the name of this forest?" Although I'm not sure if it has a name.

"It has no proper name, it is simply called the forest of Maduville, it has nothing important or precious in itself. Adventurers come here only to begin their training, and the most dangerous beasts one can encounter are those Tigrelos. " it doesn't have much relevance in a map.

We leave the forest and in front of me I see the walls of the city of Maduville. High gray walls just over 3 meters high, adorned with banners bearing the symbol of the kingdom of Hecate, in the center of the walls was the gate to enter the city.

"Here, that's the city of Maduville, ah and don't worry about the guards, after all, we don't check the documents of common people here, they only check those of nobles or merchants." Jusy reassures me that the guards won't bother me.

'Great, I don't have anything with me...on second thought I don't even have any coins, will I have to sleep on the street?'

"What is it Darion? I see you thoughtful, weren't you eager to reach Maduville as soon as possible?" Jusy looks at me worried.

"Nothing important, but...Jusy by any chance do you know if I can join the guild?" Maybe I can earn some money as an adventurer.

"Sure, the guild is always open to new members, do you happen to have any documents?" Let's start our walk again.

"Unfortunately not, I lost them during the escape." Don't tell me I can't register anymore.

"Oh, I thought, but that's not a problem, the guild can make you new ones, for only five pieces of silver." Shit, I don't have any money on me, I have to ask Jusy for help.

"Ahhh Jusy, the cards aren't the only thing I lost in the escape... I don't even have a coin with me right now, can I ask you to lend me some? I promise you that when I complete the first missions, I will I'll give it all back." I hope Jusy is a good girl.

"Sure, I have no problem giving them to you, basically it's the least I can do to repay you for having saved me." Jusy smiles, she doesn't seem bothered to lend me some coins.

"Thanks a lot, Jusy, you won't regret it, you'll see." We arrive at the gates of Maduville, the guards don't even greet us, we are not important to them, they just give us a quick glance.

"Darion, I have to warn you of something." Jusy approaches me, starting to whisper in my ear. "You have to be very careful...Maduville is not exactly the best of villages, after all it is run by the Laten family, and they are not famous for their kindness and good nature."

"Okay, thanks Jusy, I'll keep that in mind." Luckily she warned me from the start so I can watch my every move.

"Speaking of other things, you wanted to join the guild, didn't you? Then follow me, I'll take you to the headquarters." Jusy starts following a side street, heading towards the guild.

"I follow you." I follow her closely.

Maduville looks like a normal human town, with the usual shops, stalls of merchants temporarily in town, people visiting or vendors of products and pairs of guards patrolling the various areas of the town.

"Here we are, this is the Maduville guild hall, come on, I'll show you where you need to go to register." Jusy accompanies me to the entrance of the guild.

From the outside the guild building appears to be a large palace with walls painted pure white, it is outlined in red. I see adventurers go in and out of the entrance to the club, that's where Jusy and I enter.

'Cute...' is what I think as I walk in, a large crystal chandelier hangs from the ceiling. On the sides of the room are tables and benches, where adventurers can rest and converse with each other. There are also bulletin boards where there were posters for search and kill missions.

"This way." I follow Jusy all the way inside the headquarters. There's a big counter there, with various people arguing with some adventurers.

'Guild personnel, I assume.' Jusy strikes up a conversation with a girl behind the counter.

I see that he hands the girl the bag with the flowers we have collected inside, he grabs the bag and starts checking the inside, making sure everything is there.

The reception girl nods, giving her the ok that everything went well, I'm happy for Jusy that she completed the mission on time.

Jusy turns to me, motioning me to approach, I approach the counter.

"This is my friend, and he told me that he wants to be an adventurer, but he doesn't have papers, but that's not a problem, is it?" Jusy explains to the girl why I'm here.

"Of course, we will make new documents, we just need basic information and five silver coins." The girl lowers herself under the counter and starts rummaging through what I understand hearing the noise of the paper.

She places them on the counter and begins to explain what I have to write and in which parts of the sheets, I do everything correctly while Jusy pays for the creation of these documents.

"Perfect, all the requirements have been met, for the document passes tomorrow and we will have it ready... by tomorrow it will have already been completed. And allow me to welcome you to the guild." The girl welcomes me, I thank her politely and I go out with Jusy.

"Thanks a lot Jusy, as I said I'll give you everything back at the end of the first mission I'll undertake." Thanks again Jusy for the help he gave me.

"Don't worry Darion, take it as a welcome gift for this city." Jusy is really a good girl. "But Darion, if you're new here you have no place to sleep, right?"

"You hit the mark...unfortunately I don't have a place to sleep." Jusy smiles warmly.

"So come, I'll take you to the inn where I stay, and don't worry about the payment, after all, the inn belongs to my grandfather, so the first night is free."

"I can't believe I'm so lucky, thank you so much Jusy." I'm safe, at least tonight I'll sleep under a roof.
