The First Round Of The Bake-Off

Right after the end of the Mid-Autumn Festival break, the first round of the bake-off started. It was held on Saturday at the capital branch of the Queen's Crown Hotel.
A nervous yet excited Lucas woke up hours earlier before dawn broke. He had been waiting for this day to arrive.
The long hours spent inside the baking kitchen, trying to learn from mistakes and perfect his craft felt not wasteful at all. Mr. Jin and Michael also helped him a lot.
The competition began at nine. All the participants needed to gather in the waiting room one hour earlier.
The twelve candidates would be separated into six groups through drawing lots. One person fought against the other while being witnessed by any spectators who came.
"Honeypuff, I'll go now," Lucas stroked the back of Honeypuff's right ear. Grinning, he smooched the feline a few times, "I'll win this first round. Wait for me to come home, en?"
