The clock was showing a quarter to one o'clock in the morning but, Old Master Ding showed no sign of going to sleep.
He was currently in another room where he sat facing a huge bed. The brown box was put on the bedside table. One album lay open on his lap.
Lying on the mattress was Former Patriarch Dong, his father named Howard.
The older man's breathing was so quiet. Sometimes it terrified Old Master Ding as he feared for his old father's declining health.
Old Master Ding and Liliana's talk ended before ten. He still had so many things to ask the young lady, his newly-found grandniece but, he needed time to register everything in his mind properly.
Luciana was already dead.
Her only daughter Cassia was in a coma.
And... her only granddaughter Liliana suffered under the Xin family's mistreatment.
Everything enraged Old Master Ding as well as saddened him. He regretted not trying more in finding them.
