Nessa fell asleep right after crying, probably from exhaustion. Damon watched her as she slept, noticing her steady heartbeat and he felt this great urge to protect her from everyone and everything that could pose a threat to her.
If it was possible, Damon would build her a paradise where she would have a loving father and no one would ever hurt her. Unfortunately, the best he could do now was to give her a safe haven.
After making sure she was sleeping properly so she doesn't develop a neck ache after their journey, Damon drove off to his place. By the time he reached home, his mother was already waiting at the entrance.
Damon had called his mother to inform her to prepare for Nessa's coming since she was home today. Although he had not gone into details of the incident, Damon was sure his mother already sensed something happened. Rita was a smart woman.
