Ch 50-Fight fire with Fire

Meliodas was surprised at the identity of the man infront of him but at this point he didn't care since he will kill him.

"Can you put some clothes on, I can't fight you like this" said Meliodas with a sigh.

Agrona looked down and chuckled at Meliodas disgusted face, he snapped his fingers and a new outfit wrapped itself around him.

"Better?"

"Yup~" without warning Meliodas summoned Zantetsuken and slashed at him in one quick movement.

Agrona dodged to the side and concentrated his purple fire to create a long sword.

He then swung at Meliodas sword.

And as he expected Meliodas Zantetsuken didn't brake or melt.

From the very moment Agrona saw the sword he began to have a bad feeling from it, as of the sword itself wanted to cut his soul into many pieces.

"Hehehe I see, no wonder I felt danger from you. You are a god just like me~" stated Agrona with a smile. To his knowledge the only beings that could abtain powers over a concept are God's.

And the sword in Meliodas possession has the concept of Cutting.

"???" Meliodas only looked at him in confusion as they clashed their swords.

God?, Me?

"Fufufu don't try to hide it, that divine light of your that overpowered me, that seeping darkness that created that dangerous sword in your hand. It's all signs of a true God's cotroll over their domain, and not just one but two, maybe even more" he said as he laughed hysterical

'i see so he thinks I'm a god, no wonder he's acting like this. My power over the Eikons elements are conceptual so that would make me look like a god or at least someone that has reached that stage of understanding" deduced Meliodas, he felt that he should correct him and tell him that he's not a god but it was useless to do such a thing at this moment.

Meliodas raised his empty hand towards Agrona and sent a wave of water out of his hand.

Agrona raised his eyebrow in surprise and jumped backwards to dodged the wave of water.

Once he did Meliodas he unsummoned Zantetsuken.

"Hoh, do you perhaps think you can beat me without your special sword" he asked with a grim face.

"Nope, I just remember something"

"And what might that be?"

"You need to fight fire with Fire"

"?"

Meliodas reached both hands into his coat and took out [Judgement of Shamas], he could have used Zantetsuken also to fight him but Meliodas hasn't had the chance to fight a proper opponent who could withstand [Judgement of Shamash].

'Altria I need you to go far away, I don't think you will be able to take on what I'm about to do' mentally sent a message Meliodas to Altria.

Right now Altria is hanging on Meliodas waist in her ceremonial sword shapeshift.

Meliodas tought that using [Judgement of Shamash] with her around might be dangerous so he is sending her away.

Although reluctant to do so, Altria turned back to her human form and started running towards the groups direction.

'Now that she gone I can fight to my hearts content'

"Might of An-utu, 0th power" said Meliodas as his two guns turned into a giant cleaver.

The edges of the giant sword started to eminate a bright red glow, the heat coming by out of even started to light the surroundings on fire.

Agrona seemed deeply impressed by the swords heat, he himself is a master of Internal/Adeptal arts of fire so he is surprised by the sheer heat that the sword could give out.

But what about the wielder?

Agrona didn't think that Meliodas could take on such a heat that seemed to continuously rise even if he is a god, unless he can controll fire mastefully or.

A blue chill started to come out of Meliodas body that seemingly countered the heat that could cook Meliodas alive

Yup this is The Eikon of Ice shivas power.

And when did he obtain such power you may ask.

He obtained it a bit after he got the Eikon Leviathan. His progress rate with it was already high enough to get the next Eikon after raising the progress bar a bit further.

The reason he chose Shiva was for situations just like this.

On the Honkai Impact 3rd game, Kevin Kaslana was the only one able to properly wield [Judgement of Shamash] without dying.

And how did he achieve it?

Because his MANTIS power was literally ice Wich helped him counter the intense heat that [Judgement of Shamash] gave off.

Going by this, Meliodas strategicaly selected Shiva just so that he could wield [Judgement of Shamash] without getting burned alive.

But his a controll over ice isn't good enough to the point that he could neutralize the heat for a long time.

He can only keep using the 0th power of Shamash for a few minutes before the heat rises to the point that his cold ice becomes not so cold.

Second by second the heat and flames coming out of Shamash began to intensify to the point that even Agrona started to sweat from nervousness.

From this point on Agrona began to get even more serious by intensifying his own flames. He didn't have a death wish and he wasn't going to die by underestimating his opponent even if he has become a god.

*Woosh*

In a fraction of a second both Meliodas and Agrona swung their weapons seding out a sea of fire that consumed the surrounding to a crisp.

*Boom*

They continued to clash and swing their flaming swords in a dance of death and both were verry unbothered by the flames that surrounded them both

Meliodas.

"Set"

Meliodas who was in the offence, continued to swing Shamash and barraged Agrona with swords made of light and darkness.

Agrona became annoyed by the barrage of elemental weapons sent at him while he was fighting Meliodas so he swung his sword sending Meliodas flying back and spun, quickly sending out a wave of purple fire that consumed the elements.

"Hm!?" Agrona barely dodged to the side, managing to dodge a dark slash that was sent towards him.

Meliodas who was the one that sent that flying slash, reached out his hand

[The Lord's Measure]

Multiple black and red outlines appeared around him.

"Shit" he immediately got out of their range once Meliodas swung his sword and activated them all.

They outlines cut the air but sadly did not cut Agrona.

Agrona sighed in relief.

'Danger!' Agrona swung his flaming sword upwards creating a wall of fire in attempt to cancel our Meliodas fiery swing but he was overpowered.

"Me of all people was overpowered in the realm of flames?, how absurd" Agrona started to doubt his own strength at this point but that didn't man he would give up.

Agrona took a deep breath and raised his sword over his head.

A burst of fire came out of the sword. The mere impact of the flames destroyed the ground that surrounded Agrona.

With a single swing Agrona sent his daveastating blow of fire towards Meliodas.

Meliodas himself just stood there with a huge smile on his face.

He lowered himself on a swinging position and waited for the attack.

As the destructive balcinfmars finally reached him he swung at them with Shamash and said.

[Full Counter]

The sound of a ringing bell resounded through the battlefield, confusing everyone in the vicinity as to were to came from.

But in a mere second the attack that was originally mentioned for Meliodas was sent back to Agrona.

Agrona himself saw his attack coming at him tough this time it seemed twice as big. He attempted to run and dodge but it was a futile attempt.

*Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom*

With one giant explosion the ground shook violently and the river that's was there before became a giant crater that began to fill up with water.

Meliodas immediately tuned off [Judgement of Shamash] 0th power and stoped to the floor

"*Pant* *Pant* fuck I'm tired" said Meliodas who was lying in the floor.

He had already reached his limit with [Judgement of Shamash] a while ago but he purposely kept going even tough he was getting slow fire inside. Luckily he managed to quickly finish the fight before he completely burned.

Meliodas quickly applied some mid-tier recovery potions he had in his system and rcovered tough he still felt stiff from the fight and a bit fatigued.

He slowly walked towards were Agrona previously was only to see a giant crater with water between ng filled the inside it.

"Good, it's over now"

"Oh is it?" Said a mischievous voice.

Meliodas groaned tiredly and looked around to see were Agrona was but he could see him at all.

"Don't bother I'm far away already, and how I survived I ask. The flames that you had rudely returned to me managed to eliminate my body but my soul is a whole other matter" he said with a mischievous tone.

'Riiiiiight, god of death. Forgot about that for a sec not gonna lie' Meliodas slapped himself in the forehead for not putting up countermeasure against a guy whose power is death. Meliodas guessed that he will probably try to find or make a new body but it will take a while.

"Anyways I probably won't be able to see you in a while but don't worry we will meet again" he said as his voice disappeared.

"Another dam problem, and a god at that. Of course it's a fucking god!" Meliodas really started to feel tired. From now on his mission will just be to go to Watoria, get the reward, and dip.

He's already missing Kannas and Rexes soft baby cheeks.
