The Beginning Of Eden
At the current time, a certain young man who looked no older than eighteen could be seen standing tall in the middle of what appeared to be a relatively flat and healthy stretch of grassy land. Behind him was a two-story wooden house, a rather fancy and high-quality house to be exact, with stained glass and all.
The young man had smooth black hair with a tint of purple mixed all in, his currently narrowed eyes revealed a pair of dark gold eyes. Along with having slightly pale skin, the male had a lean yet athletic-looking physique, which could be seen underneath his thin layer of clothing.
Said clothing consisted of a simple pair of sleek long black pants, a pair of black running shoes, and a white t-shirt underneath an unzipped grey hoodie. If you looked closer though, you could also make out what looked to be a necklace of sorts hanging from his neck.
This was Kendric Allennere, a recently reincarnated individual.
Yep, you heard that right.
"Build a nation, huh? That's a whole lot easier said than done." Kendric sighed as he swiped his hand, which immediately prompted what looked to be a blue holographic screen to appear and hover right in front of him. "It's pretty much just building a city from scratch... Seriously, couldn't I have gotten the Gamer System or whatever it's called?"

When Kendric reincarnated and found himself here, this menu was the first thing that he saw, and he honestly immediately understood the situation, mainly thanks to the novels he had read in the past. Though, to say that he was not expecting this kind of system was an incredible understatement.
Nonetheless, it was still a system, so he wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth. He was just going to try his best with the functions that it provided, though he was certainly confused about what the Chat Group thing was, it didn't matter right now though, it was locked.

The reason Kendric had decided on the name of Eden for his upcoming city was simply that it meant paradise, and that was exactly what he wanted his city to become, a paradise for the citizens. Of course, he would first need to find some citizens to move in here.
Not right now though.
"Alright, better get started. There are many kinds of buildings I need to create, such as houses, stores, and even a hospital..." Kendric muttered as he turned around and looked at the City Hall behind him. "Those can wait until I have people here, I need to work on resources first..."
Opening his menu back up, Kendric proceeded to click on the 'City Constructor' option.
When he did, a new screen popped up which revealed various different options which he could choose. There also appeared to be a few different buttons that he could press, and even what looked to be a search bar for him to type in.
"First and foremost, water and food are vital. This place is decently close to the ocean, so I can create some aqueducts to bring the water over, perhaps even make a dam there in the future. I can also make some croplands for farms..."
Once Kendric clicked on one of the buttons, he soon found himself eyeing the entire area as if he was looking at it from a bird's eye view. He had already experienced this before when he was exploring the menu, so he didn't freak out at all and just calmly began floating down to where his real body was.
When he did, he could see that his person was entirely frozen in place, though there seemed to be a strange glowing blue light originating from both his eyes.
"Alright, water is first I guess. Let's see..."
Quickly flying himself over towards the ocean area, Kendric looked at the vast view of ocean blue water. He was thinking of having the pipes entirely underground, that way he could avoid them being damaged by monsters and such he had seen in this world. That's right, fucking monsters.
"Let's see, making two small-sized aqueducts to the city area..."

"Jeez, that's a bit expensive for pipes alone..." Kendric winced a bit at the cost, he still had many other things he had to create, so he ultimately decided on one single medium aqueduct for now. "Okay, that cut the price in half, obviously. Not yet though, still need to first build a water treatment facility and some water towers...fuck me."
He was going to be in it for the long haul...

"Finally... finished!"
Kendric sighed to himself with a tired voice as he looked at the now built metallic water treatment plant in front of him, while it certainly wasn't the biggest one he could have made, it was big enough for what he wanted it for, for right now.
The facility was built a few kilometres away from where he was going to build the city, and he had already just connected all the piping needed to get water from the ocean to the treatment plant. The cost of building this thing was a total of 200,000 Nation Credits, and that included the fact that he had it built for automatic treatment of water, which increased the cost by sixty-thousand.
Not a bad deal if he said so himself, he didn't have anybody to man the facility, so having it automatically already working on the treatment of water was very worth it. He honestly expected it to be more expensive, but sure as hell wasn't complaining.
The water towers, a total of five, were also built near the treatment plant and were already starting to receive water. The towers cost him significantly less than the treatment plant, totalling only fifty-thousand credits, so ten-thousand credits per tower.
So, bringing up his menu...

"I still have a decent amount of credits left, working on the croplands should be my next objective. Then I need to make some houses, how many though?" Kendric crossed his arms as he thought over this. "I don't know the chances of someone moving here anytime soon, so maybe three or four houses should be enough, I can always make more if needed."
It wasn't just the cropland that he needed to build, he also needed to manually create the seeds to grow the crops, along with a place to store said crops, like a cooled warehouse. Thankfully, the system made all these tasks a lot easier, he just needed the necessary funds.
Speaking of the houses, he was definitely thinking of building them more modern-like, he was born in the modern era and he wanted to stay a modern guy. He didn't know entirely what kind of civilisations live in this world, but he didn't want to live in some medieval city.
Not to mention when he actually did get some people living here, they needed to get some jobs to help provide for themselves. Like hell was he just going to treat them like freaking babies and feed them with a silver spoon, and the first job was going to obviously be farming.
Overall, he had a lot of things he needed to do before he had a somewhat functioning city, he had only just finished making a source of water for the place, and he still had so much more he needed to do.
Thinking about all of it, Kendric couldn't help but sigh.

Blinking as he saw the sudden notification, his surprised expression turned to one of eagerness as he saw the rewards. He didn't know what Mora was, perhaps some kind of currency. What he was excited about was the second reward, the Ability Token.
Considering the monsters he had seen hanging around the place, the ones that he managed to safely and carefully avoid being detected by, he wanted some way to protect himself should the need come to pass. So, potentially having superpowers or something would be really useful.
Whatever it would be, he'd have to wait and see.
