Shooting Practice

'Who's that?' Amos looked over the figure approaching her at immense speed while letting a water trail behind. Amos could clearly see the beautiful girl with pale blue hair that approached 10km away from her. 'Hydro? Is she a blessed one or a priest?'

She had been considered to always be the best huntress, with the greater distance view, being capable of hunting at a 1km away and that was even improved once she received the blessing of her lord and lover, Decarabian. It was a little struggling, but she could hit her even at her actual distance.

'She wasn't one of the group, so she isn't an elimination target. But it's clear that she is targeting me' As Amos gripped her bow, her iris started acquiring a green glow, her vision improving further, seeing every movement of Allen as if was just next to her.

'Let's stop her for now, before anything. Once hunted, I'll take my time to ask about her god or spirit' Amos drew an arrow, pointing it at Allen.

'With this angle and climate, she would detect the arrow once it's 20 meters away. She will be shocked by it, trying to avoid it, but it will be too late, that involuntary movement, causing it to strike her thigh, immobilizing her with the least damage. Go!' Amos shot the arrow with perfect accuracy, the arrow doing exactly what she calculated, hitting Allen... or not. Allen avoided it in the last movement.

'What was that?!' Amos was shocked at Allen's movements. She could accept her arrow being avoided or blocked but not like that. Allen hadn't stopped at all, she had twirled her body, making a 360º spin while avoiding it, returning to the same position without losing any speed.

'She was waiting for it.' Amos discovered 'I need to relocate' Amos took her bow on her shoulder, quickly moving across the snow while hiding her trail and sound as her boots glowed with a green light, knowing that her position had been completely found.

'She is still following!' Allen changed her charged direction, always going into a straight line toward Amos, making the relocation and stealth a useless waste of time.

'She is already at 3km!' Amos was quite surprised by Allen's speed and reaction 'There's no use to running away. I need to shoot her down!'

Amos took 10 arrows from her quiver and threw them into the air as they had a low green light. The arrows started to fall in slow motion while pointing straight.

'Netshot!' At incredible speed with almost no cooldown, Amos continuously shot each arrow, creating a volley of 10 arrows whose glow started joining between them, creating a net between them.

'Useless' Just as she shot, Amos was able to read Allen's lips saying. And she showed that it was true. Water manifested around her, taking the form of a sword, using it to slash across her net. And as before, all of it using the minimum movements, avoiding the arrows and most threats, only cutting the necessary.

'I'll go with all out!' Amos took out one arrow that glowed with strong elemental power, one that was specially given by her Lord, drawing it as she waited until Allen was a kilometer away 'Give me strength, my lord!' Amos shot the arrow, immediately forming a tornado targeting the girl.

Seeing the distance and the area of the attack, there was no way to avoid it. And Allen did not.

"Ah♪!" She shouted melodically as she clenched her hydro sword and all the snow around her stopped falling as if time itself has stopped. Then, is started twirling at an immense speed all around her sword, thrusting it.

'Whirlpool!' Allen shot a torrent of water.

*Boom!* Both attacks collided, exploding each other.

'I was wrong! She is not a mere blessed or priest. She is a god!' Seeing the power, the elemental power surging from inside Allen, Amos was sure of it.

'I need to run away and warn my Lord' However just as she was about to move, she found a blade formed by water over her neck. Allen smiled brightly next to her.

"H-how did yo-?" Amos was about to ask how it was so easy, how was she able to locate her, but Allen knew her intentions seeing her shocked face.

"You blocked the sound of your steps, but not of your heart. Pum, Pum-Pum." Allen pointed at her chest, tracing her skin all over until reaching her neck "It was all too clear."

*Pang!* "Ah!" Amos felt a blunt hit on her neck and she fell unconscious in Allen's arms.

"Without a proper sword, the strength behind is certaintly quite reduced, drawing with her arrow" Allen thought before looking down at Amos. "Nevertheless, it was a good training."

...

"Three hours had passed and he still isn't coming" Ragn looked back with a worried expression.

"Fear not, for the fate of my noble knight remains unchanged," spoke Fischl with a reassuring tone. "He shall soon return to my side." Elf nodded quickly.

"At least, it seems that Amos is not following us" The old man stated, gaining an angry look from Fischl and Ragn.

"Fret not, for Venti hath not made the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good, and shall yet return to us," declared Fischl with a confident air. "His path may be fraught with peril and tribulation, but rest assured, he shall not falter in his duty to protect my person."

"Mein Fräulein, someone is approaching" Oz interrupted "Two people"

"Amos must have already captured him" The old man said worriedly.

"Oz, investigate it" Oz flew to the sky, returning shortly with Allen carrying the unconscious Amos on his back.

"Why the shocked faces?" Allen let Amos on the ground "I said that I will take care of her."

"Thanks god" Fischl jumped at Allen, hugging him and letting her true feelings "I was so worried. Ejem!" she coughed quickly, making distance "As expected of my Knight, you accomplished the mission perfectly."

Allen smiled at her antics "Let's go, there's a long travel ahead"

...

After two days of walking through the blizzard, dragging Amos along the journey and with the weakest of the group skimming their limits, the group approached their objective.

"I'm not sure where Andrius's lair is. But it should be around here" The old man said as he was unsure where to go now "Where should we go now?"

"There's no need to move" Allen stated as he could hear multiple sounds all around them "They are already here."

"Grrrrr" More than 50 wolves approached warily all around, growling at the group.

'Let's see how well it goes'
