Duel Before the Throne

"Why?" Sara asked shocked "Are you aware what is the meaning of a duel before the throne? The loser must die!"

"Of course, I am" Tomoki answered coldly "But are you aware of all the damage that will cause the Vision Hunt Decree? I know about it and I would put a stop to it. The Tenryou and the Kanjou Commission voted in favor of it, so that's why I challenge you, the strongest and the deputy of the Kujou Clan, for the position of head of the Tenryou Commission in the same way that the Kujou Clan challenged the Shogun."

"But...!" Sara tried to refute, but was silenced by the Shogun's voice

"Proceed" The Shogun nodded.

"Having received the consent of the Shogun-sama, I suppose that there's no need for more to talk" Tomoki drew his sword.

"Why are you doing this Tomoki?!" Sara shouted between tears "All that time growing together, you were the one that showed that I could be more than a tool, the one that taught me how to smile. You were really the most important person for me." She shouted strongly "You abandoned me before and now you are trying to kill, has all of it been a joke for you!" She cried "Do you hate me so much?!"

"No, I don't hate you, Sara. But I also don't like you. Tomoki started using his Delusion, forming a sword of purple lightning over his right hand "I don't feel anything for you, you were like a little rock in the street. You are simply nothing to me, a little annoyance that I coped with from time to time. That's why this decision is so easy for me."

"I see..." Sara whispered sadly "I was the only one, silly me" She looked directly at Tomoki's cold eyes "I loved you"

"You should have chosen better" Tomoki replayed as he stepped forward.

"Yeah..." Sara extended her left arm, and squeezed the air with her hand, forming over it, the Soul Bow Thundering Pulse "I'll correct it now." She quickly charged an arrow, Electro energy surging from it as she pointed it to Tomoki.

"Die!" She shouted in pain, her last tears falling to the ground.

'Fuck!' Allen just reached Narukami Island with his boat 'Would it be like in the game? Would he try to challenge the Shogun?'

'But why? For himself? Final gamble? New beginning or end'? Allen started running over the Tenshukaku 'I can't really understand it.'

'He had never been interested in other people's life, only carrying for the ones close to him.' Allen approached the Tenshukaku 'And even if it was the same as in the game, it's too early! The Hunting Vision had not even started!'

After running at his maximum speed, Allen finally reached Tenshukaku's huge doors. Lifting his gaze over the main building, Allen's eyes went wide 'It can't be'.

*BOOOOOM!*

"Ha!" "Ha!" Tomoki panted, kneeling on the ground, supported by his sword piercing the ground, while he pressed his right shoulder, where an arrow pierced him, with his left arm while lightning covered his body.

The battle against Sara was quite the intense one. Sara shot an unending volley of arrows, letting no way to avoid them while Tomoki cut over the upcoming arrows, cutting everyone that come towards him.

Tomoki seemed to be completely pushed, having completely swallowed in Sara's flow letting him no other way than to defense.

Even the times that he tried to close their distance, Sara showed her immense speed as a Tengu, flashing away and keeping her distance.

Tomoki also seemed to try to force her to move, leaving the building and reaching the courtyard, to surprise her when she left the building, but nevertheless, it didn't work, Sara having complete control of the distance between them and never stopping her arrows.

In the end, they reached that point. Tomoki was hit by an arrow and almost collapsed with exhaustion.

"Haha" Looking at the arrow in his body, Tomoki looked down at the ground "I lost."

*Tak* *Tak* Just as Tomoki declared his loss, the Shogun surged from the main building to the courtyard, each of her steps resounding like the impending thunder. She had her Musou Isshin at her left hand and she walked with her gaze fixed on Tomoki.

"It's time for the divine punishment" Tomoki turned over the Shogun.

"This shouldn't have ended like that" Sara said with sadness "It could have been different" She avoided her gaze, not wanting to see Tomoki's end.

"Yes it should" At Tomoki's face, a smile appeared "And it will be." The lightning intensified all over his body and he stood up again.

Sensing so strong elemental power, Sara turned again towards Tomoki who stood tall and strong with a confident face, making it seem that all the previous exhaustion had been a lie. And in truth it has been.

With a swift move, Tomoki took out the arrow that pierced his body, throwing it away while his lightning quickly cauterized the wound that in the end, it wasn't mortal at all.

Then, Tomoki turned over Sara, looking down at her with disgust on his face "You have done your part. You bother me now. Go away!"

Tomoki dashed towards Sara, his body flashed at an immense speed appearing just before here, making a direct kick on her stomach and throwing her away.

"Whah!" Due to the strong hit, Sara's could feel the air from her lungs leaving her body as her body was shot away from the courtyard, to a lowed floor.

*Paf* Sara hit the ground. Her body trembled, making it impossible for her to stand up again due to the impact. But it wasn't the hit or the pain that immobilized her, it was the realization that she had been played around by Tomoki, it was the humiliation.

It didn't matter how focused she stayed, she would continue being unable to avoid that attack. With that speed and strength, Tomoki could have finished the battle when he wanted. And in his way that was precisely the case, deciding when surrendering.

"Shit" Sara clenched her teeth, tears uncontrollably falling from her eyes.

"What is the meaning of this?" The Shogun glared at Tomoki.

"I didn't want any collateral damage" Tomoki lifted his left hand, showing his Delusion that shined brightly, the lightning around him changing from purple to lack "Now, I can finally start!"

*BOOOOOM!*

'It can't be' Allen's eyes went wide seeing the scene at the upper courtyard. One one side, Tomoki was clad in black lightning surrounded by swords and emiting an ominious aura while at the other the Shogun was wielding her Mushou Isshin.

'It's too late' Allen cursed. The battle had started and only one will be left alive.
