Chapter 70: Whopperflowers!

The automatic flipping catalyst book floated by Sucrose's side. She clapped her left hand to conjure a gust of Anemo element, and her right hand to summon another gust of Anemo element.

Then, simultaneously, she clapped both hands together to create a huge gust of Anemo element, blowing away several small Pyro Slimes.

"Don't come any closer!"

Sucrose gently yelled, then used an elemental skill to summon ephemeral small Anemo Spirits up front.

In an instant, all the slimes including the two large ones were gathered together in the middle.

Watching everyone being surrounded by Whopperflowers, Sucrose stepped back slightly, feeling a bit nervous. She then accidentally bumped into the shoulders of the two behind her.

Amber spread her legs a bit in her over-knee-high boots, lowering her center of gravity. Pyro energy gathered on the arrows nocked on her Favonius Warbow.

Although the Pyro Whopperflower had high Pyro resistance, it didn't reach the immunity level of elemental lifeforms.

Just as she was about to release the arrows, two Whopperflowers simultaneously burrowed underground. Amber's eyes widened slightly. As a scout, she had rich experience in dealing with monsters.

"Everyone, move away quickly!"

Amber kicked off the ground like a little rabbit, flipping in mid-air.

Then, she landed a bit further away, her body sinking slightly, effortlessly absorbing the impact of the landing.

Nolan also realized the intentions of the Whopperflowers and directly hugged the slower Sucrose, jumping away from the spot.

In less than a second, Nolan had brought Sucrose away from their original position. The two floral mimic monsters, Pyro Whopperflowers, violently burst out together from below.

The two had narrowly avoided being smashed away.

He lightly landed at a distance, about to put down the girl he was hugging.

But he realized his palm was still being clamped by Sucrose's arms. The soft, smooth texture of her clothes rubbed against the front and back of his hand.

"Miss Sucrose, please relax a bit."

Nolan turned his face slightly. A few strands of her cyan-green hair brushed past his chin as he reminded her.

"Ah, sorry. I'm a bit ticklish."

Sucrose finally seemed to react, twitching her ears like an animal embarrassedly, then letting go of Nolan's hand.

Upon hitting the Whopperflowers, the Pyro Elemental energy dispersed due to the Anemo Elemental energy, causing the entire unstable Wind Spirit to turn flaming red.

In this way, it dealt both Anemo and Pyro damage to the Pyro Whopperflower.

Nolan wasn't idle either. His armor-piercing arrows flew as quick as teleportation, accurately striking the chaotically flying Whopperflowers. Their ultra-high tracking was completely unaffected by the turbulent winds.

As these two Whopperflower monsters were quite strong, with high physical resistance, it took nine of his arrows assisting the others to finally defeat them.

The two defeated Pyro Whopperflowers dropped to the ground. Nolan, Sucrose and Amber approached.

Amber placed her hands on top of the red boot cuffs that dug into her snow-white thighs right above her over-knee boots. After bending down to confirm the Whopperflowers were dead, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"It's all good now."

"Quick, check the quality of the nectar on them. It should be great research material for you right, Sucrose?" Nolan said looking at Sucrose beside him.

"Mm, that's right."

Perhaps because the two had become somewhat familiar as friends, Sucrose's tone became more natural when she spoke. She stared at the bodies of the Mimic plant monsters and, after a moment of contemplation, continued:

"The petals of Pyro Whopperflowers also contain traces of Pyro elements. We can perhaps use them to replace Pyro Flower stamens, taking their place to make elemental potions, mm."

After finishing, Sucrose propped her chin, lightly nodding as if confirming her statement made sense.
