Ch. 41: Butterfly

At the Yuehai Pavilion. I walked vigorously to the Yuheng's office.

As Yuheng, Keqing was in charge of land affairs, livelihood management, construction, and real estate.

Her workload must be very heavy, unlike me who only works when people ask for it. Needs work? I just have to go to the Adventure Guild.

I arrived at Keqing's office, or should I call it Yuheng's office? It was always neat and orderly, reflecting her meticulous and disciplined personality.

On top of her desk, there was always a pile of paperwork waiting to be completed. The sight of it already makes me shake my head. When will it be done?! How many times have I worked on it but never finished.

Exhaling a long breath, I sat down on a chair.

Beside me was Keqing, that's right, I deliberately went here out of boredom.

Of course my work wasn't finished.

It's not that I didn't do my work at all... I must have checked the documents that I thought were important, like those complex construction documents.

For Keqing, who was very meticulous, doing this kind of work was probably a piece of cake.

The moment I sat down, I immediately rested my head on the table, also supporting my chin with my hand. I kept looking at her, unable to take my eyes off her, I couldn't help but smile as well.

Keqing frowned. She tilted her head curiously.

"You've finished your work?" she asked in a soft voice.

I nodded.

Upon seeing my response, Keqing exhaled and then turned her gaze back to me and began examining the documents.

"Keqing, can I borrow your pen?" I asked.

Keqing turned to me, giving me a confused look. She didn't say anything and the atmosphere became awkward.

This... this seemed interesting. I curled my lips as Keqing refocused on his endless paperwork.

I started wiggling my feet, making noises, and doing other activities that would be distracting.

"Can you be quiet?" she asked with a long sigh. "I'm working."

I was silent for a moment, but then I started to sing a little. My discordant singing voice annoyed Keqing even more.

"Enough!" she shouted angrily.

Suddenly, Keqing stood up and walked out of the room. Abruptly?! I tilted my head.

Shortly after, she came back and pounded on the table in front of me.

"You lied! You said the work was done!"

Oops, she was furious... she knew that I was lying. Did she leave the room to confirm my work?

Alright enough of the joking around, I'm also satisfied with her reaction.

Looking over at Keqing. She was sitting down. It seemed like she was still visibly upset, nor did she say anything more. She kept working with focus, completing her tasks one by one.

The atmosphere then became quiet. Only a puff of breath could be heard. I was also about to leave.

Suddenly, Keqing let out a long sigh, her eyes still glued to the document before her. She then turned to me with a faint smile.

"I will comply with your request no matter what, so please don't bother me at work," she said in a soft voice.

Keqing turned her face away, her cheeks slightly flushed. "And I'm sorry for getting angry earlier," she added in a low voice. "You did that all of a sudden anyway.

"Who wouldn't get angry at that?"

My heart skipped a beat. Who wouldn't be tempted if a man was humiliated?!

I stood up, approaching Keqing's ear. "Then I'd like to watch you cooking."

I pulled my head back, smiling. "It's okay, right?"

Keqing gasped, she turned to me slowly. Suddenly, her cheeks turned red like a tomato. She immediately turned her face away and said in a low voice, "It's fine."

***

After Keqing's work was done, she whispered to me while standing on tiptoe shyly.

Heh, she said that I should keep quiet when asked by people.

I knew what she meant, she wanted to keep her promise of letting me watch her make food, in other words, she was inviting me to her house.

When I came out of Keqing's office, I found many Secretaries talking, or should I say whispering? Although their words were clearly audible to me.

"He's making out with Miss Keqing in her office?!"

"Huh?! Since when does Miss Keqing have a boyfriend?"

I can hear you guys... However, you're not wrong, we did make out in the office!

How about it, are you jealous?

An ordinary guy like me making out with a lady he idolises!

I'm sure that if I shouted in front of everyone, it would be such a provocation that it could set many fans on fire.

Burn Chef!

After inwardly railing, I looked around to see who was talking about me.

Among them was a female secretary, some of them were sullen men who had sidelong glances at me.

These people were envious and spiteful of the fate that befell them. How does it feel when the love of your life is taken by someone even more rotten than Hilichurl?

Self-abasement is really addictive.

Well, it's a pity there was no Ganyu among the secretaries, if there had been, I might have prepared a pen and a piece of paper to ask for her autograph.

"Why does it feel like you're enjoying this?" said Keqing beside me.

"Does it look like that?"

Keqing nodded.

"Can I hold your hand?" I asked.

Keqing exhaled, his face looking serious. "No."

I looked up at the sky. "Emmm... alright."

***

When I arrived in front of Keqing's house, I was amazed by its ordinary exterior.

I thought it would be "wow!" or something.

The entrance was dominated by sturdy dark brown wood, decorated with simple yet elegant carvings of Liyue clouds. There were no servants to greet her either.

She seemed to be a simple girl indeed.

"Come on in," Keqing invited.

I nodded, following right behind her.

Entering the main room, I was greeted by neatly arranged furniture. There were no superfluous decorations, just a sturdy wooden desk with a few stacks of documents and some scrolls containing work notes. Next to the desk, there was a bookshelf neatly filled with books on Liyue's history, battle strategies, and some books on economics and law. There were no novels or entertainment books.

I chuckled... work, work, and work. That must be what's on her mind.

Turning to the other side, in one corner of the room, there is a simple martial arts training set. Straw training dolls and a few wooden weapons are neatly arranged.

On the top bookshelf, tucked amongst the thick books, is a small statue of Rex Lapis. The statue looked quite old, the gold paint slightly faded.

She really kept it... I wonder if my statue will also be there in the future.

I turned to Keqing quietly. She stood up, looking back at me. "You can take a seat instead.

"I'll change my clothes a bit first."

I fell silent for an instant. Then, I nodded.

I actually thought that... no, forget it.

Sitting in the living room, I looked around for a while.

Then, at the sound of the door knob being turned, I turned my head towards the source of the sound.

In a short period of time, my heart was instantly made to pound.

Keqing, now standing with an apron wrapped around her slender waist.

Her hair was neatly tied up, displaying her charming face.

She smiled at me, just briefly. However, it had a very positive impact on me.

Keqing... she really deserves to be considered an idol.

Moments later, she went into the kitchen, turning her back on me in delusion.

Shaking my head, I got up from where I was sitting.

I slowly stepped closer, my eyes not leaving her. She was like a living painting, her movements full of grace and charm.

"Keqing," I whispered, my voice as low as a murmur.

She didn't turn her head, remaining focused on what was in front of her.

She was very serious even when it came to cooking food for me.

But I was sure, her smile was very sweet, and it graced her lips. "Charles, what's wrong?"

I smiled, stepped closer, and without hesitation, I hugged her tightly.

Her body felt warm and comfortable in my arms. At the same time, I sniffed her, the scent of spices mixed with the fragrant aroma of her body making me even more intoxicated.

"Keqing," I whispered again, this time in a bolder voice. "This afternoon... we don't need to practice, right?" I paused for a moment. "I would like to spend some time with you."

I brought my face close to her ear, and blew a warm breath. She flinched slightly, but before long, she was back to her usual self.

As soon as I did that, Keqing's cheeks suddenly turned red, she didn't say anything else at that time.

Anyone would definitely take this as tacit approval. I naturally took it as well.

Just as I was about to withdraw my head, my eyes caught sight of Keqing's tantalising neck.

I swallowed, looked away, then exhaled... sorry, I really couldn't stand it.

I moved closer to her neck, until I could smell her fragrant scent.

I had to swallow for the umpteenth time. This almost never happens to me. Slowly, I began to touch her soft neck with the tip of my hard lips, I kissed her neck, it was so soft and smooth, her fragrant scent made me even more crazy. My heart was beating fast, and I tightened my embrace even more to the extent that I could feel Keqing's heartbeat synergising with mine.

"I want to continue like this... is that okay?"

Keqing nodded silently. She's still blushing.

So cute!

***

I sat down in front of Keqing who had been silent since before.

She still turned her face away and was afraid to look at me.

Do you hate me now because I do things that are beyond the norm in a teacher-student relationship?

Come on, you're not the only one wondering here, but I am too!

Why would I do that when you're my idol?!

This is human nature!

Lust!

Thinking about it makes me shake my head. It could be serious if you think about it more deeply!

I let out a long breath, then slowly peered at her.

At the same time, Keqing was also peering at me.

Her face turning bright red, she turned her face away immediately.

What a shameless teacher!

"Keqing," I said softly.

She didn't look back at me.

Never mind feeding each other like husband and wife, or even a romantic couple, she was reluctant to even look at me.

I sighed once more, stood up, approached her as I raised my hands and touched both sides of her cheeks.

I forced her to turn to me.

Her eyes widened, her lips parted instantly.

Immediately, I brought my lips to touch hers.

At first, it was just a brief touch, like the wings of a butterfly on a flower. Soft, almost imperceptible, yet capable of sending tiny tremors throughout the body.

Her lips, so smooth and warm, felt like silk under the fingers.

Then, the kiss slowly deepened, accompanied by a soft sigh. Our tongues began to dance, exploring every nook and cranny, mapping the contours of the lips with passion.

The pressure of the kiss varied, sometimes gentle and loving, sometimes passionate and lustful. Every touch, every movement, was filled with emotions emanating from the heart.

In between kisses, I desperately wanted to give little murmurs and words of love such as. "I love you," "I miss you," or simple phrases full of meaning. However, I was actually still confused about my own feelings... so, I hadn't decided to do so yet.

Over time, the kiss began to fade, replaced by heavy breathing.

As soon as I lowered my head, the saliva that connected our stories slowly formed the letter "U".

My lips twitched, then I curled my lips instantly.

"You finally saw me again."

***

Well, that night was my brave mode.

I did those things because this was Teyvat, if it was the real world, or earth, I wouldn't have been that brave to kiss a beautiful girl like her... hehe, I could show off. I curled my lips proudly.

Last night, Keqing and I bribed each other like a perfect romantic couple... ummm, or normal? It was definitely like a normal husband and wife.

However, it definitely made me unable not to smile!

After all, I had kissed her, I had captured Keqing's first kiss!

After being engrossed in my own thoughts, I opened the Quest menu. After all, my sentence was only a few days away...

After setting my mind at ease, I increased my Agility stats with the unused SP +1. I had thought about it ahead of time and still decided to choose Agility first.

This way my Agility had already reached 3 just like my Endurance.

(POV: 3rd Person)

Keqing stood in front of the door, leaning against the wall. Her long, dark purple hair flowed beautifully over her shoulders.

It was already night, but that did not prevent her from looking at the silhouette that was slowly leaving.

In the reflection of her eyes, there was a man's back walking towards the crowd. He did not look back at all.

She lifted her two fingers and touched her lower lip gently. Her thin pink lips curved upwards, forming a sweet smile that could captivate anyone's heart.

Her smile was so charming, like cherry blossoms blooming in spring.

Is this what you're looking for, dude? A romance?!

Give me a big applause for making romance (even though I've never experienced that in RL 😭💦).

This chapter is longer than the others. It looks like I won't be updating today, unless I have free time again.
