Chapter 4: Labyrinth and Creatures

A hunger for battle, that is what Aether was experiencing for the whole month after he became the Fire Dragon God's "successor". He always goes out to "train" with his targets, only to come back to his "safe zone" bloodied.

It was another day for Aether, another day to slaugh-train using his targets. He was also looking forward to the chests in his target's camp since he got some gold coins which he guessed to be the world's currency along with other stuff like some pink crystals.

Arriving infront of another camp, he gripped his dull blade tightly. Stepping on a stone before jumping along with propelling himself with his flames, the targets noticed him so in retaliation some loaded their crossbows.

Opening his flames, Aether sent several fireballs towards the tragets with the crossbows, burning some of them while one dodged.

Landing on the ground gracefully, Aether rushed towards his targets.

Aether opened the chest inside the camp, not surprisingly, he found more gold coins and some small pink crystals which he putted in his pouch.

After standing up, Aether stretched his limbs, "Well looks like I'm done here-hm?" Aether noticed a weird symbol on a mountain infront of him.

With a curious gaze, Aether walk closer towards the mountain to see the symbol closer. Curiosity took Aether over when he decided to touch the symbol.

Surprise, surprise the symbol glowed brightly, blinding Aether temporarily and overtaking his sorroundings with a white glow.

"What the fu-!?" Aether managed to say before completely being enveloped by the light.

*Drip*

*Drip*

*Drip*

Droplets of water fell on Aether's face, waking him up. Opening his eyes, Aether groaned tiredly, standing up and realizing that touching that symbol was a terrible idea, he flicked his own head in frustration.

"Yep, this feels like I'm in some kind of a horror game." Aether muttered to himself as he started to look around.

The walls sorrounding looked so old, some of the walls were cracked, mosses were growing everywhere, while water fell on the ceiling hitting the ground and Aether's head.

"Wouldn't be surprised if I'm attacked by somet-nope, don't jinx yourself."

Aether walked across the long, straight hallway. His footsteps echoed along with his breathing.

"Ok, this is becoming creepy now." A chill ran down Aether's spine as he felt a sudden cold breeze of the air. "Oookay, that is not a good sign at all."

Aether quickly ducked, dodging a slashed from what looks like a... giant rat?

"What the hell is that?" Aether quietly muttered, before launching himself towards the rat, slashing it in half with his flame enhance blade.

After killing the rat, he covered his nose as he smelled the disgusting scent that was coming out of the rat's blood.

Quickly leaving the body behind, Aether continues to walk aimlessly, turning to the other directions when he saw other paths.

(This feels like a maze)

Aether stopped walking when he arrived in a dead end, again. Walking back, he turned left to continue his walk.

*Growls*

*Barks*

(Just my luck.)

Aether cursed his luck mentally as he finds himself sorrounded by wolves, grabbing the sword out of his back. He gripped it tightly as the wolves began to close in on him.

*Shing!*

Aether blocked a bite from one of the wolves, the sound when the blade hit the wolf's fangs surprised him. (What was that? Are their fangs made out of steel or something?)

Kicking the wolf that bared its teeth on his blade, he turned around to block a slash from a wolf. Cutting the wolf's paw before kicking the wolf straight on the face.

Dodging a slash from a wolf, Aether opened his palms before sending several fireballs towards some of the wolves. Roasting the targetted ones before cutting the heads of the remaining wolves.

"Hhmm... their fangs are kind of strong, this could be variable." Aether muttered to himself before putting it in one of his other pouches.

"Well, let's keep going till we get out of this maze." Aether declared before continuing his walk on the labyrinth.

*Swish*

*Clang*

*Shing*

Aether finds himself in a yet another trouble, a giant Mantis made out of fucking Metal.

(What the hell are with this creatures!)

Aether shouted mentally as he dodged another slash from the mantis, clicking his tounge, he propelled himself towards the ceiling.

Planting his foot on the ceiling, he boosted his speed as he came crushing down towards mantis with his fire engulfed blade ready to slice it down like butter.

*Shing*

*Crack!*

Aether slashed the Mantis' right front leg, although, Aether's dull blade cracked a little upon impact.

Sliding under the Mantis, Aether tried to slash its head. "!!" Alerted, Aether quickly jumped back towards one of the walls. Barely dodging the Mantis' slash that cut a small strand off of his hair.

Clicking his tounge, Aether engulfed his body in flames. Launching himself towards the Mantis, he slashed its head off however, his dull blade began to crack even more.

Aether stood still as the Mantis' green blood gushed out of its body. Inspecting his blade, "I need to be more careful in using this or this'll break." He whispered quitely.

xXxXxXxXxX

Aether went slowly advenced to the depths of the labyrinth, killing every creature he come across by burning them.

He refused to use his blade in worry that it will break. He decided to use it as a last resort.

He took a break from wandering around the labyrinth from time to time, luckily for him he brought some small amount of food and water.

As Aether advanced further down the labyrinth, he arrived infront of a giant golden door.

"Weird, why is a fancy looking door in a run down place."

Taking a deep breath, Aether forcefully opened the door. The labyrinth trembled as the door opened.

Aether walked forward, he was inside of a fancy giant hall with pillars supporting the ceiling. However, a golden throne took Aether's attention and what sat there took Aether's attention.
