2 Boar King

Sal Vindagnyr, Morning.

Isaac stood on top of the location where he saw the giant boar the other day. The intense cold breeze went past his face, swaying his white curly hair. However, he seems to be unfazed by the coldness.

He looked down at the frozen boars below and decided to make the location they were in as the farm where he will raise them.

The only problem is...

'How do I stop them from getting frozen again...' He thought. He knows that the frozen boars are still alive inside the ice they were in, due to the fact that he inspected them before and saw no wounds on their body. Meaning, that they merely just froze on the spot.

He inspected the area and confirmed that it was an ideal place for the farm. It is an isolated area where a cave can be used as a roof. But again, the coldness is still troublesome.

Isaac contemplated for a moment and thought of various methods he can use. He obviously can't melt the ice as the fire will just instantly disappear due to the temperature of the mountain.

An idea then flashed across his mind. He thought of that idea for a moment, contemplating if it is possible. 'Right... I can't confirm it unless I try it...'

Gently nodding his head, Isaac looked at the frozen boars below and held up his hand, and closed his eyes.

'If I can control the ice in the mountain... Then maybe...'

With that thought, Isaac started feeling the sensation when he first used his ice power. That feeling when he felt like he was one with the surrounding area and can freely manipulate the ice element around him.

Those ice elements, in his view, are small scattered dots that are constantly moving. But he can manipulate that. He can command those dots to stop moving and form an orderly line, connecting them to each other and achieving results.

He focused his attention on the harsh cold winds above the frozen boars' area. He held up his hand and concentrated. In his mind, thousands of dots are constantly moving all over the place.

'This is gonna give me a headache...'

He then gave those dots a command. It took a while, but he succeeded. Those chaotic thousand dots started to stop moving and started moving to the sides as if giving way to something.

With the dots in an orderly manner, Isaac started connecting them so that they won't fall apart and start moving again. 'This is actually... fun, for some reason...'

He just tapped one dot and tapped another to connect them. For some reason, Isaac found this entertaining.

After the dots got connected, Isaac opened his eyes again and looked at the location where the boars are.

His eyes slightly contracted at the scene in front of him as an amused smile started appearing on his face. 'It actually... worked... Haha, wow...'

In front of him, where a swirling blizzard was once present, was now a location where the blizzard is avoiding. And it's the location where the boars are!

The cold wind is avoiding where the boars are, just as Isaac imagined.

'It really does work...' He thought, a bit proud.

Seeing that the place where the boars are no longer frozen, Isaac decided to go down as he made ice appear beneath his feet as he run down.

He arrived where the frozen boars are nodded gently with a smile.

As the sun's sunlight hit the location where the blizzard is not covering, it did not take long for the snow to dissolve. Of course, the ice where the boars are frozen is starting to show signs of melting.

'Boar friends... Haha, how ridiculous...' Isaac made a self-deprecating smile as the thought appeared in his mind.

'I would have never thought of being so lonely, I'd start making boar friends...' He added.

But despite such thoughts, Isaac was happy that he can share the mountain with a living being. Other than those floating mechanical monsters, of course.

Just then, a deep and echoing sound was heard by Isaac.

"Who are thou to save thine subjects?"

Isaac instantaneously got startled and started to look around. Just then, he saw the familiar cave where the boar king was.

"Thou best not worry... For I carry no ill intent..." The voice one was heard. "For thou have saved thine subjects, I shalt carry gratitude..."

Isaac approached where the cave was and saw the massive boar he saw the other day, with eyes open and laying on the ground, looking menacing.

"You... Can speak?" Isaac questioned. Although he knew that he was no longer on earth, he still found it extremely odd that animals can speak.

The massive boar inside the cave gently nodded its head. "For how long have we been sleeping? For as long as I remember, many others speak the common tongue..."

Isaac didn't know how to respond to the boar's question and shrugged. "I... Don't know. I have just recently awakened in this mountain... And have not ventured out of it before."

The boar once again nodded as he started to stand up. "Very well. Allow me to introduce myself... I was once known as the Snow-Boar King by the humans... But that title had long since disappeared with time."

"I don't know how long I and thine brethren have been sleeping... But I am assured that mine title has long since been forgotten..." It added.

'Humans...!' Isaac thought. 'So there are humans in this world...!'

He does not know any information regarding this new world he was in. But fortunately, it seems like humans exist here. 'One day... I'll make sure to get in contact with them...'

Isaac really wants to get in contact with society once more. But unfortunately, with the seal keeping him in the Mountain, that ambition of his looks grim.

He then shifted his attention to the Snow Boar King. "I see... To be honest, I haven't met a human before too..."

Hearing his reply, the Boar King got interested and asked, "But thou share the same resemblance as them, are thou not?"

Isaac nodded and didn't give a reply.

The Boar King somewhat understood his intentions and did not ask further. "Regardless, thou have saved mine brethren from our frozen shackles. And for that, we thank you..." It said as it slowly bowed its head.

"No, no, it's fine! My original intention was to have company, after all." He stopped the Boar King from bowing.

He then quickly changed the topic. "By the way, can I learn your name? Saying your title seems... Excessive...'

The Boar King looked at Isaac for a moment before looking at the other frozen boars outside the cave. "I do not possess one..."

The Boar King then looked at Isaac and added, "Then, can thou give mine name?"

"A name? For you? Are you sure...?" Isaac questioned.

The Boar King nodded its head, confirming his question.

'A name, huh...?' Isaac started pondering for a name to call the Boar King. Truth to be told, he was bad at naming, but he had to make a good name for the Boar King at least.

After contemplating for a while, he finally came to a conclusion. 'That's it...!'

He then looked up at the massive Boar King in front of him and gave him a name. "Then... Is the name Moccus fitting?"

The Boar King thought for a moment as it released a breath of air from its nose. "It is... Fitting."

Hearing his reply, Isaac secretly sighed in relief. "Well then, Moccus, it's a pleasure to share this mountain with you."

Moccus nodded his head and replied. "Likewise."

And so, the friendship between Isaac and the ice boars started.

Meanwhile, outside Sal Vindagnyr, a group of people appeared, wearing heavy clothing to keep them warm.

From their attire, it was clear that they will attempt to venture into the Icy mountain in hopes of finding lost relics from the past and striking a fortune.
