Chapter 6: Negated Slowly and Completely

----[Xinghuo POV]----

Location: Sea of Clouds,

Liyue

*Yawn* "Hah yes!! This time I won" Xinghuo showed the biggest grin as he won a match of "Genius Invocation" (Genshin Impact's Version of Yu-Gi-Oh) against his comrade Echo.

"Well that last play you did was pretty much a close call!" Echo said then added "I mean, we both had one last character standing and you got lucky" but he admits anyway

Xinghuo and Echo are both from the millelith , a military force stationed around Liyue to serve as guards, reporting to the Liyue Qixing. They are the Liyue equivalent of the Knights of Favonius, the Inazuma Shogunate, etc.

It's their nightshift as they're currently stationed at Liyue Harbor's entrance, assigned to observe and report to the Liyue Qixing potential 'threats' to Liyue Harbor and its inhabitants.

"Well how about one mo--" *Thud* Echo's words were suddenly interrupted by something that sounded like a big object fell. The two soldiers were a bit cautious as both him and Xinghuo held their spears as they shifted their attention to the source of that sound.

What they saw was in their perspective a male foreigner with purple hair (some were visibly white), his physique was with a light gray jacket with a large black bag strapped on to his back lying on the ground unconscious. It's our unconscious protagonist, Vache.

"Hey! Are you ok!?" Echo rushed towards the man and helped him get to their posts where he and Xinghuo could assess the foreign individual's condition. They realized that he was simply out cold from drinking due to the fact there was an obvious scent of alcohol lingering around the purple haired foreigner.

Echo along with his comrade immediately decided to return to Liyue, drop Vache at Bubu Pharmacy and go back to their station

While the two guards were holding the sleeping drunk back to Liyue Harbor so the man could be monitored by someone more professional, the unconscious man suddenly vomited out what appears to be both his dinner and drink

For a moment Xinghuo and Echo glanced at one another, mutually agreeing to forget what they saw and continue their way back to Liyue Harbor.

2 hours after Vache's departure...

Back in Wangshu Inn, Verr Goldet, the inn's receptionist/ boss with light orange

hair was sitting at the reception desk on the top floor, her eyes staring at Yu Hua, who said something that caught her attention

"So you're telling me, that this pouch, which contains 100k was given by the foreigner who was singing due to drinking a mix of drinks the foreign had?" Goldet furrowed her eye brow in disbelief in what she just heard but Yu Hua nodded answering her analogy

"...." Both could only say nothing. It was indeed a strange thing that a foreigner would eat their least popular dish, give 100k mora rather than 6.7k mora for the food, and leave after leaving a huge impression on everyone in the Inn with the foreigners sudden performance.

The silence was finally broken 2 minutes later when a young man (with a demon looking mask hanging on the right side of his waist) suddenly appeared as the sounds of the wind flutter as he arrived on the balcony close to the reception. It was Xiao, an Adepti that was known in the game (Genshin Impact) as the "Conqueror of Demons".

"Goldet, who was that individual (Vache)?" Xiao asked as he was interested in the individual. He usually wouldn't care about humans as his duty was to defend Liyue through the slaughter of all manner of abominations formed by the lingering wrath of ancient gods in the Archon War.

But Vache caught Adepti's attention because what he sang made Xiao not only reminisce about memories of his fallen comrades but also dispersed his karmic debt.

How was it possible!? It was because of Vache's skill "Stability" which in its description states it negates not only mental debuffs but as well as 'restraints'. As the skill belongs to the path of Abundance, it considers 'restraints' as those that meddle with a being regardless if they're of long term or short term species. Making the skill effective toward the Black haired Adepti's condition. Vache doesn't know that "Stability" was triggered as he was singing at that time and the skill's hidden requirements were fulfilled.

Goldet and Yu Hua were shocked at the fact that Xiao showed interest "We don't know" She shook her head and continued "The only thing we know is that he's a very strange foreigner and he appeared to be heading to Liyue Harbor"

Goldet answers as she sighed helplessly 'I need to report this to madam Ningguang immediately' she thought to herself

Xiao then left the reception and went back to the rooftop gazing at the direction Vache was headed. Meanwhile the unconscious Vache being carried by Echo and Xinghuo were finally at Bubu Pharmacy.

----[Vache POV]----

[It's cold, even though I succeeded in completing my work, my research, the blizzard immunity. I felt nothing I achieved what I sought out to do. I could only regret my actions as I waited for my illness to kill me------]

"What was that?" Vache muttered to him self as he woke up, trying to recollect what he just experienced.

"Um. Hello." Suddenly Vache heard a voice. 'No way??!" He thought to himself. As it was a voice he recognized in the game for having played almost the entirety of Genshin Impact (More on that later on in the story)

Looked and saw a child with magenta eyes and an indifferent expression "Qiqi" Vache uttered those words in disbelief as he never thought he would meet his first 5 star character when he played Genshin Impact he saw Qiqi's story on how she became a zombie immediately made him feel the urge to be a Qiqi main. Grinding not just artifacts, and weapons that can utilize Qiqi's kit but also standard fates.

It was indeed a painful and grueling task for Vache as he knew better purchase standard fates was him being out right stupid but he persevered as he got his Qiqi to c6, maxed out her weapon and artifacts as well as her talents. It was one of the most satisfying things Vache ever did in Genshin Impact.

"Do you know Qiqi?" The little zombie casts her gaze and tilts her head curious with a still indifferent face "Yes, I do" Vache answered honestly knowing of her 'condition' then continued, "My name is Vache Finch and can you tell me where I am"

"You are at Bubu Pharmacy. Qiqi took care of you after you got dropped here" Qiqi replied in a monotonous voice "I see, well it's nice to meet you Qiqi" "It's nice to meet you Vache"

As she responded a notification sound rang over my head [*Ding* Skill "Stability" has been forcefully activated, targeting Qiqi. Upon forceful activation, "Stability" will not go on cooldown. Will slowly show the effect in time

'Eh? Eeehhh??!!!' Vache could only scream internally as to what the absolute heck is going on while Qiqi tilts her head at Vache's expression
