"Ah! Look dear, he's awake!"
"Indeed....quite a silent one isn't he? Hmhm!"
Yoshuke woke up to the sound of a middle-aged man and woman. His mind was fully blank, he just began to slowly gain his awareness back.
Before long, he had gained his senses back. Though he was still incapable of speech, Yoshuke's eyes wandered the room. It was like something out of a fantasy novel, the walls and floor looked far different from any hospital he knew of. Not to mention the clothing of the people around him seemed unique.
One thing was certain, he was in the hands of a woman! Not only that, but as a newborn child!
It was strange for Yoshuke, after all he really didn't think about how babies saw their world at first. Most of them would have forgotten months after being born.
In that moment, Yoshuke's thoughts were interrupted by more words spoken by his new parents.
"He looks like a curious one! I just know he'll bring our family honor!"
"Now now dear, you still have to complete your duties and wait for him to fully grow first. You're always so impatient."
"Huh? A-ah...well....hehe."
His father looked embarrassed after being playfully scolded by his wife, at least that's what he could tell.
Another thing Yoshuke noted in his mind was the fact he couldn't understand the language his parents, or anyone else around him was speaking at all. It was to be expected, after all the language of Teyvat from what he knew in his old life was based on Latin. Of course this was also a language he never learned.
From what he could recall, Teyvat was mostly a mixture of different cultures like Chinese, Japanese, medieval etcetera.
Despite all of this, he was excited for sure. Who wouldn't be, Yoshuke had just been reincarnated into his his one and only beloved game. With the death of his past life, this new start gave him hope he'd be able to live a better life than he had.
"Ah! We need a name for him!"
"Did you overlook that...? Well I certainly won't be helping, go wild my dear husband."
"Ah...umm...ooh....."
His father thought long and hard. The thought of needing a name completely slipped his mind due to being so excited to have a child.
Then an idea came to his mind, one he was satisfied and excited to announce. Thus he lifted Yoshuke up himself and proudly looked him in his amber eyes.
"Reino! That's it! From this day forth, the world will know you as....Reino Schreiber!"

About 10 years had gone by since Reino, formerly Yoshuke, was born into the world of Genshin Impact.
In that time frame he learned a lot about the world he was settling in.
For starters, all of the people around him acted far more real compared to the game, which was expected. However the surprise was the amount which was added to the world that even the game did not show. In other words, he had to explore a lot at a young edge to get a grasp on his environment, even if he was just in Monstadt which seemed much larger in person.
Besides that, he found himself having next to no difficulty learning Teyvat's language. It came as a surprise to his parents along side his peers as he was basically viewed as a genius in a sense. Considering Reino had the comprehensive ability of a middle-aged man, learning new things had was simple for him.
He even managed to pick up some martial arts along the way. Though his skills in that were...much to be desired, in a sense he may have been smart but not very physically gifted.
One day, he was rummaging around his home, which was a fair distance away from the main city of Monstadt. His family owned a business in blacksmithing. In fact it was the most well-known blacksmithing business in Teyvat.
He would often rummage through old boxes left behind by his parents to find new information. However this time, he found something truly strange....
"Hmm? These knives...they don't look like the ones father used to make, mother too for that matter. I wonder if this is just some, old design?"
Reino had taken a small curved knife out from one of the many boxes. Its properties were certainly unique with the curved edge, only a skilled blacksmith could ever make something like that flawlessly.
In the exact same box, Reino would pull out a journal and begin to read its contents.
The journal was written by his father, no doubt. It was about the world as a whole and some extra knowledge which even he didn't know.
It contained a lot of loose information, most of which was certainly incomplete. And others....well he could not go any further than that.
"Reino! We are to begin your training!"
Reino hurriedly placed everything back in place to avoid his mother having any suspicions that he went through their old family logs.
Shortly, he'd make his way to the main room, where he met up with his mother who was sitting at the dining table, sipping a cup of tea.
"I was wondering what exactly you were doing. Ever since you grew up you've disappeared into random parts of the house more often."
"Ah...well being cooped up in this place for so long makes me bored! I-I mean, I'm safer at home than playing with the kids outside..."
"Is that so? My apologies, some of them must be rough on you."
His mother, Cocolia Schreiber, smirked and placed her empty cup on the table. She stood up and went to a rack which held various different weapons.
Reino recognized all of them from his experience in his past life. A one handed sword, a claymore, a polearm, a bow and finally a book which he assumed was a catalyst. Although these weapons only proved as a divider for characters in the game, in the real world of Teyvat they served a different purpose.
"I know you've been dreaming of the day to hold one of these in your hands. Your father never agreed to let me train you at such a young age but...I suppose exceptions can be made, no?"
She smiled at him before continuing, "Go on, pick whichever you like and we shall begin with it."
Reino's expression lot up upon given the choice by his mother.
From what he knew, the one handed sword was a swift and effective weapon. Specializing in swift slashes and stabs, it was definitely the easiest option.
The claymore on the other hand was sluggish but could pack a huge punch. The bow was a weapon of precision not very suited for close range battles. The polearm was an interesting choice considering it was the same weapon his mother used, a swift stabbing tool which can be used for crowds and duels. The catalyst was one he was completely unsure of however.
Whether or not the catalyst would grant him some sort of power was unknown since that was never stated in the game.
Regardless, Reino thought it was safest to go with the sword since he was still a mere child and the other options would be much more difficult to master.
"The sword? I see you have splendid taste. Your father used to be quite the warrior with the sword, hopefully you can live up to his honor."
"Speaking of father....where did he go? It's been so long since we've seen him...is he alright, mother?"
Cocolia's face dimmed for a second, but she smiled and answered him "He is fine sweetie, expeditions last a long time you know?"
Reino sighed and nodded silently. Being a child with the brain of an adult, he already understood what happened to his father.
However before he could think any further, Cocolia would lead him to the backyard.
It was a beautiful view, although it was certainly a fair distance from the city of Monstadt. He could feel the cool air breeze brush against his cheeks as he held his dull blade close.
"Your training starts today. To become a one who is worthy of honor, you must never waiver. Now, draw!"
"Yes mother!"
Cocolia spoke loudly while materializing a polearm in her hands. This rush of inspiration caused Reino to pull his blade out of its sheath, tossing it aside and pointing the tip of the blade towards her.
On that day, he swore to put his skills to the test and become a warrior worthy of his father's name.
