Chapter 5: A Comeback
When Yuri was fetch by her grandparents and was asked what really did happened, she didn't speak the truth. The butler of young master Gino on the sideline who had witness everything was pitying the little girl more. The old men gave their thanks for the second time to the butler whom didn't forget to advertise his young master saying he was only instructed by his good-looking talented smart young master.
The next day, what happened to the piano room was the topic of the whole academy. This is with a reason of the villain running out crying from the music building deliberately went to the direction of the students to have more witness.
These students are offended atleast once by the arrogant Yuri and now possessing such information, they spread the gossip of Yuri being rejected by her own fiance to the whole academy making Yuri a laughingstock. What they didn't know, this is all what Yuri wanted them to do.
Not long, the gossip was reported to the grandparents of Yuri that made them enraged. They immediately took action. The announcement of breaking the engagement of their granddaughter and Evo soon published and without giving the business world time to breath another news confirm by the both Lee and Cooper family, Yuri Lee-Cooper as the sole heiress of the two biggest group corporation.
True to this, her grandparents and parents' plan in the first place is to leave the companies in her name solely. This is part of the two families' agreement before their arrange marriage. The world didn't know but Mother Cooper, the only daughter of the powerful Lee family, got pregnant by the second young master of the two young masters of the powerful Cooper family. Before Yuri was born, the second young master died of car accident while their eldest young master aka Father Cooper can't conceive his own descendant. They thought the bloodline of the Coopers soon to end until they get to know about Mother Cooper. The arrange marriage between Mother Cooper and Father Cooper was agreed after knowing Yuri's existence.
Before their marriage, Mother Cooper took the initiative to reveal her sexual orientation to Father Cooper. Even before the second young master of the Coopers forced his way to her, Mother Cooper was never get attracted to the opposite sex and it even got worst after the incident happened. This gave the two, husband and wife an understanding of their boundaries. After Yuri was born, Mother Cooper even decided to stop her own lineage. This is to make Yuri Lee-Cooper the only descendant of the two most powerful family in the country.
When the Matte family learned about this, they brought their son to the Cooper's residence to apologize but was only rejected all the time. This is not the case with the young master Gino West whom was even invited by Yuri's parents themselves.
When Yuri had a problem of insomia, they again remember when she fell a sleep outside the piano room. This is the reason Gino had been invited at their residence and was indeed successful. It's been seven days straight and Gino would visit Yuri after his classes. Slowly the two cultivated their relationship into friendship.
"What are you doing?"
When Yuri heard the young man's voice, she covered her paper with her left arm to hide it from the young man's view.
"What is that?"
"Don't look first! I'm not done yet."
Gino squeeze his eyes looking at Yuri suspiciously.
The butler on the side restrain himself to laugh to the kids' immature actions. He cough to clear his voice and made his young master remember to bid his farewell to the young girl.
"We are leaving. Are you not going to send us out? This would be the last time we will see each other."
Yuri stops from writing and glare at Gino, her small face was crumpled to a frown her pink fat cheeks are bulging while her small pink lips was pressed.
"We're only going abroad. I'll be back here anyways. What are you saying we'll not see each other. You can always visit me."
Gino only pursed his lips into a straight line.
"What? You're not planning to ignore me, are you?"
Gino can only sigh. He was somehow was amused how the little girl recovered her arrogance even with her current condition. Her thin right arm is with a cast while the side of her forehead is now covered with a gauze, her injuries are no longer concealed unlike when she went to the academy. Even with the cast and the gauze, her arrogance are still the same just like her before but this current her whatever face she makes, it's was cuter than the past.
"Hmm. I would not."
Yuri squeeze her eyes like she's not believing him and slowly withdrew her eyes to write something on the paper. Short while, she carefully fold the paper back and hide it.
"Hmp, let's go let's go. I will see you out."
Yuri said acting indifferent but cutely while hiding the paper on her back.
When they arrived at the parking area, Yuri stood in front of Gino while the butler is fixing the area for his young master.
Gino raised his head only to see Yuri's left arm was extended her small hand was patting his hair.
"I learned I am seven months older than you. It means you're my little brother."
Gino was taken aback with Yuri's action.
"Little brother Gino, you're not allowed to ignore me when we see each other again, okay?"
The butler coughs a few times to wake his young master from his reverie.
Yuri withdrew her hand.
"Ow. You have to go." she then carefully asked, "Little brother Gino, can I pinch your cheeks?"
Gino's face twitch.
"No."
"Too petty." her chubby cheeks went even bigger when her small pink lips pouted like a spoiled brat whom didn't get what she wanted. This is the face Gino remembered of Yuri on their last meeting.
Before he left, Yuri stuff a letter to his arm she write and draw herself with her left hand thus it was like carelessly written and drawn but Gino knew it was with all her effort.
Days turn to years and Yuri turn sixteen. She went lay low never had a picture of herself on social medias, she focus on her studies while being active on other things.
When Gino woke up early morning, he checked his email first and didn't see a message of his friend. The past four years, the two's communication continue. They will talk about music, stocks, and academics. When Yuri had something she didn't understand, the two would have a video call but Yuri wouldn't show her face, the camera would face only to her paper and her small hand holding her pink pen.
It's the start of the school year, the campus is bustling with rich heirs and heiress meeting their friends telling stories how they spent their summer. This scene was soon disturbed when a picture of Yuri went down from her lift was posted on their school forum.
Two of Evo's friends are currently talking about this even zooming the face of the girl on the picture to confirm if it's really their master's fiancee... ex-fiancée.
"She---that---i--is her name Yuri?"
The voice of the female lead made the two avert their attention to her.
Four years had passed and the fate of the main characters didn't changed. Maina was retrieved from the countryside and the main characters met last school year. Maina was bullied by the male lead at first but when he learned she's the kid attend to his injury when he they are young, the male lead treated her better. With the current situation of the female protagonist on her family adding the real adopted daughter secretly bullying her, he announce to the whole campus his protection to the female lead.
"Yes. It looks like her. She seems alright now."
Yes. The storyline of the main characters didn't change but the villain of the story changed. The soul inside Yuri adjusted not only the impressions of the characters to her but also interacted with the female protagonist earlier than on the story.
"What are you saying? Do you know her?"
Maina, the female protagonist, didn't noticed the weird reactions of the people around by her sudden mention of Yuri's name. She narrated what happened that year without any restrain.
Four years ago, Yuri accompanied by the butlers went to the countryside to visit a temple built at the top of the mountain. When they went down the mountain, they met an accident and their young miss injured her right hand. Their tour guide happened to know an old lady living at the bottom of the mountain so they brought Yuri there to be accomodated first while waiting for the rescue. This old lady happened to be the 'grandmother' of the female protagonist.
"It even gave me pain when I learned she went up to the temple to just pray for a bracelet. I don't think the bracelet is worth it to her injury but I remember she was holding the bracelet the whole time while she's in pain. Her hand that time it's really the worst con..."
The face of the few people inside the room sank. Evo's face was the worst who was just by the door heard half of Maina's statement.
Yuri walking on her way to the classroom raised an eyebrow when she saw the great fluctuation of the numbers in the air. She somehow felt a little disappointment to learn the story came out earlier than her plan. She change her track instead of going to her first class she strive her way to the piano room.
Not long gone.
A beautiful young lady leaning her back on the wall her eyes closed while a sad music of a piano playing on the background was the view the first time the three male leads saw Yuri again for the past four years.
