48. A Powerful Confidant

Meixiang and the others went next to Central College.

When they entered the College premise, they already heard the cheers even from the entrance. The College is examining the enrollees' level of cultivation and which department was appropriate for them. Most of these students are already recruited and was already under someone's power. The college is not mainly to learn from teachers but to compare with other students and accumulate experiences from the mission board. College is a place to earn points and use the facilities of the school to increase their cultivation.

When Meixiang and the others arrived at the testing area, unlike the entrance exam of the eight academies, the stage is exposed to the public. Not only the students of Central College is present but also the students of the eight academies. Classes are not yet officially starting so almost all the students are present to cheer the alumnus of their respected academies.

Zi Kang, when saw Meixiang's team, he scratch his head and hesitantly said a word to the examiner before leaping to the stage.

There are nine aligned stones on the stage, the student only have to attack the first stone to the direction of the rest of the stones. The stones will turn to which color according to the abilities the student use while wherever the attack stops can determine their level of cultivation equivalent to their grade. This grade will have a great benefit on their access to the mission board.

When Zi Kang made his attack, the stones move one after another leaving all the first six stones to shake in an incredible level, this indicate he is with sixth stage peak level of cultivation. Of all the freshmen martial artist, he is the only one with the sixth stage peak level of cultivation, this is unquestionably top notch among the martial artists. Zi Kang with a cultivation of a sixth stage practitioner at the age of nineteen even with an ordinary background is considered a high grade genius. Zi Kang didn't stay long but before leaving he look at Meixiang nodding to her.

Meixiang chuckled to the uncultured but stiff gesture of the young man.

The audience's attention didn't stay long to Zi Kang suddenly diverted to Shin Ai whom made her way to one of the stage. Central Colleges accomodate not only nineteen to twenty five years old talents but also accept students with special cases just like Shin Ai with the identity of a rare summoner. They can enroll to one of the eight academies and to the Central Colleges at the same time.

Shin Ai's attack only reach the first crystal but that doesn't disappoint everyone as everyone knows she was just tested three months ago, her summoner identity and being two elemental magician are enough to awe everyone. Qin was also tested and the same as Shin Ai, his attack only reach the first crystal but the color is too faint to see.

Meixiang watching from the sideline didn't understand this. They are accepted with their summoner identity, they have to showcase their mental power and not their elements.

The audience again diverted their attention to another direction when a burly man greeted Meixiang. The burly man is not unknown at all as he is the confidant of Young Master Cao Ding, the heir of the Central College.

The burly man stiffly introduced himself to Meixiang. Meixiang knowing his identity only nod and greeted him back acting this is their first meet. The burly man called Gu Yu gave two token of Central College to Meixiang and carefully bid his farewell like he is afraid he'll offend him if he'll breath too much air.

A room from afar where the test for the new students of the Central College is taking place, group of young masters are looking at the scene below.

"Why does it seems Gu Yu is scared to the little girl?"

"Right? Cao Ding, did your interest promoted to liking the little girl to be your concubine? Gu Yu seems too careful of his action towards her."

"Concubine? That beauty deserves a position of a main wife."

Cao Ding didn't care of their tease and nonsense. He's even proud of his confidant not collapsing under the powerful girl's gaze. He was warned by his grandfather multiple times to be careful of his words and action to the little girl. His grandfather didn't know he need not to warn them as they will be extremely careful to her. What happened inside the White Forest had beat them out of their wits.

"Just all of you. Just don't offend her." Cao Ding can only warn his friend as she didn't wanted to offend the powerful little girl. He didn't even told what happened to the White Forest even to his grandfather no less to them.

The other started to make noise.

Ping Lei as a seventh stage cultivator and a dark magician at that had gone everyone almost crazy. These three are not only powerful but also too good looking!

The audience are still in daze when Dan Fai gave up a token to the organizer and stood to one of the testing area. They then realize the reason the young master Cao Ding's confidant's intention earlier. It is to accept the purple eyed wiltt with double constitution. What they didn't know, Meixiang was also given the same token but rejected the idea hiding her token inside her interspatial ring.

Dan Fai didn't act humble and use all his power in attacking the aligned crystals using the weapon his sister refined. With an eight holed weapon and his current cultivation second stage middle level, he made a movement up to six crystals. That didn't stop there, when the crystals calmed down, he made his attack using his fire that lighted up to ninth crystals into bright red colors.

The audience's eyes bulged. They didn't see wrong, right? Ninth stage? This kid just test his aptitude right? Right?? Right?!!

The fire of heaven and earth owned by Dan Fair is still young but already can store power to this extent. Unlike fire of cultivators, this fire is with own life. The fire of heaven and earth's level of power can tell by what extent the power they can store and how short they can recharge. Its growth on the other hand depends on the density of fire elements of its owner's environment. Only the disadvantage of it is although it's powerful, fire of heaven and earth span of use is shorter compared to the normal fire cultivators. The growth of this fire is also takes millenium to reach its peak.

Dan Fai leap down from the stage and get back his badge that is now with a symbol of what grade he is.

Dan Fai strive towards his sister lowering his head. Meixiang pat Dan Fai's red hair spoiling him with praises.

"My little Fai is powerful turning all the crystals the same color as his red beautiful hair."

"My little brother is too good looking when his purple..."

The onlookers felt complicated with the unrelated praises of the little tycoon.

Meixiang and the rest left the area without caring the outsider's thoughts. They went to the mission board of the college and get all the copy of the missions using their badge. With Dan Fai's badge, they are with access of all the missions.

In completing these missions, students will earn points that can be use to have an access to the school facilities and can also buy the items sell by the college and other students.

A week later, the eight academies officially started their classes. At the same day, Meixiang, Dan Fai, Ping Lei, and Xian Ji took their leave but before leaving, Meixiang give the four a crystal that they should break if encounter immense danger. She also left TaoTao as Tian Ling's 'confidant'. When Ping Chunhua, Bai Zihan, and Tian Feng learn they will summon the powerful young man who defeated a venerable warlock by just breaking the crystal, they carefully place the crystal inside their interspatial ring too afraid they will accidentally break it.

Tian Ling on the other hand is with weak legs.

"Li---Little Xiang, is this too luxurious? This Brother Ling is weak but I already have two shadow guards right?"

Meixiang pretend she didn't notice their weird faces. Auntie Tian and the others are safe with the ancient beasts to summon for the worst scenario but these four are far from the main base and only had their shadow guards. Meixiang didn't hide TaoTao's identity that made them more uncomfortable with his presence. After leaving, Meixiang nod to TaoTao, TaoTao bow his head respectfully.

TaoTao doesn't care even he is not inside the sacred book. He have the interspatial ring owned by MeiMei and the space is in great size that contain spiritual water he can consume for the whole year.

On the first day of the school year, the always jolly and confident Tian Ling stiffly walks to the academy with his powerful 'confidant' following him. He hopes no one offends him, he don't want a massacre to happen here okay. He is but only a humble young man wanted a peaceful life inside the academy while their Little Xiang is away. Unfortunately to him and the others, this would not be the case in the coming days.
