The Test

The night had ended.

'And when I reached a safe distance, I teleported back to Madara's cave.'

"It's done, these are yours." He took the Sharingan and looked at them for a while.

"They say you're a talented medical ninja, implant them for me."

Ryuu nodded.

`I can't stay here forever but I also can't disobey him, he might kill me in an instant.' he thought

He carefully implanted the Sharingan into Madara, then showed him using a mirror.

"It's like having my own eyes." He said as he stood up.

"What now?" Ryuu curiously asked.

"Now? I will test your strength!"

'Blue ribs built up around Madara, and soon a massive blue arm headed towards me,'

Ryuu dodged it and then entered sage mode.

"Madara-sama, your body!"

"It's ok, Black Zetsu, I still have enough power for this." He nodded and sunk into the ground.

Madara had a calm look on his face, he wasn't frightened at all.

"I should've known this would happen, well I can't blame you, you're probably doing this because I know too much."

Ryuu said as he activated his Mangekyou Sharingan and sage mode.

"The Mangekyou Sharingan, already?"

His calm expression changed shocked to see Ryuu's Mangekyou.

"If I use Phoenix flame here, I'll simply burn everything, but I need Madara for something, so I have to be smart about this, and hopefully, I won't get killed while doing so." Ryuu's Mangekyou started bleeding.

'What is this? My eyes! Everything is dark! What is this feeling? And why does Madara look like that?'

As Ryuu was questioning himself, Madara took this chance and attacked Ryuu with his Susanoo.

With little time to dodge, Ryuu could only rely on Phoenix Flame, when Madara's Susanoo arm attacked Ryuu, his flames instantly surrounded him and burned his arm.

"So, this is your power?" He said.

Ryuu took out his new sword.

"I've only used this sword once and swore not to use it against an unworthy opponent. It's time to test it against a real opponent."

Ryuu cut himself and gripped the sword tightly, Maroon Flames appeared in the middle, and dark ash was around the edge.

He took out multiple Kunai and threw them toward Madara.

"Shuriken multi shadow clone Jutsu!"

"Flying Raijin: Multiple Slash!" Ryuu teleported to every side, slicing Madara's Susanoo.

'His Susanoo is getting weaker.'

Ryuu looked at the Susanoo and the bones had cracks in them.

"I'll have to use that move, I was a fool to think I could defeat Madara Uchiha without it."

Ryuu stopped teleporting.

He focused a ball of Phoenix Flame on his hand and used his Mangekyou Sharingan to upgrade its power.

He took out a Kunai and placed his sword on the ground.

'I ran towards Madara and threw my Kunai above him.'

"Flying Raijin level Two!" Ryuu teleported above Madara and hit him with the Phoenix Flame bomb.

"Boom!" Madara's Susanoo shattered, and he struck the ground, leaving a massive explosion.

He slowly got up while holding his scythe.

"I see, I shouldn't have underestimated you, very well then, let's dance." He started weaving some hand signs.

"Argh!" Ryuu reached for his eye in pain.

"Now I see, this is the power of my Mangekyou."

'Everything is black and the white energy must be chakra, that's all I see. I feel some strange power boiling up inside me, I need to release it.'

Ryuu copied Madara's hand signs, ignoring the blood from his eyes.

"Wood style: deep forest emergence!"

The ground shook from both sides shook and large trees erupted from the ground, cracking and breaking the floor and shaking the ground, Ryuu's trees were much taller and more than Madara's, they were overloaded with nature energy making them more durable than a regular wood style.

"Impossible." Black Zetsu said.

At this point in the fight, Madara's calm look changed to a shocking yet excited smile.

He stopped the fight in fear of being disconnected from the Gedo statue.

"Enough!"

He went back down and sat on his stone chair.

"Your Mangekyou Sharingan has a powerful ability, but I'm sure by now you've felt the effects of using it."

Ryuu was trying to wipe his eyes for better vision but realized Madara was right.

"I know a way that you can fix those eyes, a way to cure the effects of the Mangekyou Sharingan."

"Hashirama cells." He nodded.

"I can make you even more powerful than ever, even far more powerful than me and Hashirama, but in exchange, restore my life when the time comes."

Ryuu had a smirk on his face.

"Hmph, I already have multiple ways to cure my eyesight."

Ryuu awakened Phoenix Flame in his eyes, then he put it off after a few seconds.

'Incredible vitality, it wouldn't be a mistake comparing him to Hashirama himself in that state. Enough to cure the effects of the Mangekyou Sharingan?

If I waited just a little longer, he would be perfect for the Rinnegan, he even has more chakra than Nagato at such a young age.'

Madara said to himself.

"Black Zetsu, give the young Uchiha his sword." He nodded, Ryuu didn't stop him either.

"Aargh!" He cried out in pain as Phoenix Flame latched onto his hand, and a small smile appeared on Ryuu's face.

'That was satisfying, I've always hated him and I hated him more when he betrayed Madara, a great fight was about to happen but he messed it up, what a bastard.'

He said to himself.

Black Zetsu cut his arm off, and Ryuu's sword disappeared and reappeared in his hand.

'That wasn't even near my hottest flame.' Ryuu said to himself.

"I forgot to mention, anyone who touches my sword gets burned, if it weren't for his inhuman durability, he would be beyond ash by now." Madara nodded.

"Well, do you agree with my deal?" Ryuu shook his head.

"Very well then, when the time comes, I know you'll be back, you'll come back by yourself." Ryuu shook his head.

"Does the name Obito Uchiha ring any bells?" Madara nodded.

"And how does that concern you? I've had my sight on Obito for a long time, I have plans you should not interfere with." Ryuu nodded.

"As long as we don't cross paths after I leave."

He nodded.

Madara stood up from his seat and walked towards Ryuu with the Gunbai in his hand.

"I know our paths will cross paths again and I see a lot of potential in you, more than even you see." He gave the Gunbai to Ryuu.

Ryuu's eyes widened.

'Did Madara just acknowledge me?' Ryuu asked himself before getting a grip.

"A few more things I need." He nodded.

"One white Zetsu and an arm from the thing behind you, I felt great vitality from it. There is something I'm working on that needs such vitality."

"You can't be seri- "Black Zetsu was interrupted by Madara.

"Alright." He hesitantly agreed.

"But Madara-sama…" He got silenced.

Ryuu cut an arm off the Gedo Mazo with his sword and sealed it, he then took a white Zetsu clone and sealed it.

He waved them off before teleporting.

After Ryuu left, White Zetsu asked what he wanted to ask.

"Madara-sama, why did you let easily Ryuu leave with an arm from the Gedo Mazo?"

"My original plan was to make my heir Obito but from what I've seen today, Ryuu Uchiha is more suitable for the title, and making him an ally is wiser than an enemy, he still has many years to grow, if I make him an enemy now, the chances of our plans working will be none, giving him the Gedo Mazo's arm is just showing him we trust him.

However, if he cannot gain the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan by himself and integrates the Gedo Mazo, he will become my pawn later through the cursed seal I placed on that arm."

Black Zetsu nodded.

"That is a genius idea, Madara-sama."

Madara closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Meanwhile, Ryuu teleported to the main gate. He didn't need to hide his chakra anymore, but his chakra had been unregistered because they believed he was dead, and after a few steps in Konoha, the Anbu black ops surrounded him.

"Before you do anything, I'm Ryuu Uchiha, they thought me to be dead but, as you can see, I'm alright." He said.

"Everybody stand down! He comes with me." Minato teleported behind me.

"Big brother!" Ryuu went to hug Minato but was greeted back with a kick.

"You dare use such cheap tricks, you bastard, Ryuu died right Infront of me."

He said as he picked him up by the collar.

"Do you really think I'd die that easily?" Ryuu asked.

Minato's eyes widened as he remembered the many times Ryuu said that.

"Again, with the cheap tricks!"

He threw a punch at Ryuu.

"Fine then, let's see if this is a cheap trick." Ryuu teleported behind Minato and pointed a kunai at his throat.

"Ryuu?" Ryuu smiled.

"Geez, I can't believe it took this long for you to figure it out."

He put his kunai down and wiped his sweat.

"For a second there, I thought you would kill me." Minato hugged Ryuu and had teary eyes.

"I thought you died." Ryuu hugged him back.

"We have a lot to catch up on, how about we go for some steak and talk?" He nodded.

"First, I'll have to go see Kakashi, it's been a long time since I last saw him." Minato frowned a little.

"What is it?" Ryuu asked.

"Well, Kakashi is on a mission and since we saw you die, he hasn't been the same, he's distanced himself from all of us.

Many people claim that he's been cold to them. He doesn't believe in peace anymore, he simply kills his enemies in cold blood and off missions, the only time he speaks is when he goes to visit your grave, he doesn't even speak to Sakumo himself."

Ryuu's eyes widened.

"What have I done?"
