Genius of the leaf

Ryuu Uchiha, a young shinobi who has a rare bloodline of both Uchiha and Uzumaki goes through many tragedies. He lost his memories of his previous life but only retained the memories of his favourite anime world, Naruto, his previous memories are sealed and he can only recall things in a familiar situation. Ryuu is adopted by his father's greatest friend and rival Sakumo Hatake and he later learns of a secret power hidden within his body. (I don't own any naruto verse characters and stuff I only own my oc and some side characters and custom jutsus and powers) enjoy. Also, the first couple of chapters were not that good cause it was my first time but I edited them later.

Competition and Consequences

'The next morning arrived and Sakumo-sama woke me up early.'

"Ryuu, Ryuu! wake up.

He opened my eyes slowly while stretching.

"And I thought Sarutobi-sensei woke up early." He murmured to himself.

"What do you want me to do? Wake you up earlier next time?" He said with a smirk on his face.

"What?! No! It was just a joke, you know!"

Ryuu's eyes were now wide open, and he was shaking his head and hands.

"I was only joking Sakumo-sama, anyway why didn't you wake Kakashi up?"

"What do you mean I'm already up, how could anyone sleep while you two are up, you're so loud isn't there a jutsu you can use when you wake up just for some silence?"

He stormed off, murmuring to himself.

Sakumo and Ryuu both looked at each other and shrugged it off.

"Anyway, finish your food and we'll go to the third training ground.

I'll test your skills there.

I've heard Hokage-sama praise your taijutsu skills but I have to see it to believe it tell me when you're ready to go"

Ryuu and Kakashi nodded.

With that, he left and went to prepare.

The room was dead silent, the only thing that could be heard was Ryuu and Kakashi crunching their food.

They quickly glanced at each other.

Ryuu had an intense stare and Kakashi showed little expression, but Ryuu could feel his gaze.

"Kakashi, wanna have a race to see who will finish first?"

"No, besides, even if we were to race, it's not like I would lose."

Ryuu smirked.

They exchanged glances.

Ryuu sped up and looked over at Kakashi, who also sped up his eating.

Soon, the race between them began.

"You're on," Kakashi said.

All hell broke loose and before they knew it, the food was all done.

"Now what were you saying about winning Kakashi?"

"What are you talking about? I clearly finished first."

"Not even in your dreams!"

They continued bickering for 10 minutes.

"Hey!"

The entire room went silent as Sakumo came in filled with rage.

"So that's why you two were arguing?

Over who finished first?"

He slapped his hand on his head in disappointment.

'They're much worse than we were eh, Hanzo?' Sakumo looked back at Ryuu and Kakashi, they had bowed their heads.

"Sorry."

They both said.

Sigh

"Let's head over to the training grounds before you two start arguing again."

They nodded and left.

'When we reached there Sakumo-sama removed two scrolls, one of them reading Bukijutsu

And the other one, Shurikenjutsu.'

"Pay attention, today we start combat training.

As you can see on these two scrolls, there are some techniques, one of them being Bukijutsu, this technique represents using weapons in combat such as swords, staff, and such things.

On the other scroll, we have Shurikenjutsu this one represents using shurikens to hit your target I chose one for each of you to do for a while then when you finish you will switch up, during this time I will also teach you more about hand signs and weaknesses of an enemy, Ryuu you will focus on doing Shurikenjutsu with me and Kakashi well focus on your Bukijutsu."

"Shadow clone jutsu!"

*Poof!* A clone of Sakumo appeared.

"I created a shadow clone so that both of you can have my help when in need, so you don't have an excuse as to why you couldn't do it. Am I clear?"

"Yes!!" they both said and nodded at the same time.

Ryuu went to grab some Shurikens, and Sakumo followed him.

"Now Ryuu, the reason I selected shuriken jutsu for you is very simple, whether you like it, you're still part of the Uchiha and the Uchiha clan Is known for its skill in Shurikenjutsu.

Because of your Sharingan, your perception is much higher than most although your father may have taught you these things allow me to remind you that using your Sharingan you can predict where the shuriken will go and you can use that to help you hit your target, this will take a lot of practice, but first you should master throwing shurikens without your Sharingan."

Ryuu nodded.

Ryuu started training with the shurikens.

This was the first time he ever used them and held them differently, Sakumo showed him how to hold them properly.

'There were 4 boards with a target mark. I was supposed to hit at least one of them, then I will be able to try for all of them after I master Shurikenjutsu.'

"I'll show you only how to hold and throw them, but after that, it's all up to you."

'I watched Sakumo-sama with My Sharingan so that I get everything right when it's my turn.

He took 4 shurikens and placed two of them on each hand and threw one at a time with both his hands. All of them hit the dead center of the targets.'

"Wow, you hit all 4 targets that were so amazing it's time for me to try," Ryuu said with a determined look as he held his shurikens.

"Before you go, I want to remind you that even if you fail, it won't be bad. It will only mean you need to try harder, with that being said, you can start when you're ready."

Ryuu nodded, then he got ready.

'I started with the ones on my right.

I positioned one of them on my hand to get the right precision, then I did the same with my left side.

I released the right one first, and it hit dead center, then I released the one on my left. I nearly hit the center but missed by nearly 2 inches.

I did the same with my other shurikens, and it had the same outcome.

After struggling with it so much seeing no progress, I went to Sakumo-sama to ask for his help.'

"Sakumo-sama, I've been trying this for so long, isn't there something that you could tell me to help me improve on my Shurikenjutsu?"

"Sorry, Ryuu but that's the best I can do, honestly I'm impressed by how well you throw your shurikens despite not using the Sharingan you're doing very well, usually some kids your age aren't even able to hit their targets the so-called talented ones hit the center once in nearly every 5 tries while you hit the center all the time with your right hand it's clear to me that all you need to do is practice with your left more.

But anyway, it's almost time for me to report to the Hokage. You and Kakashi Need to train more."

With that, he disappeared into thin air.

After a long training session, Ryuu and Kakashi had gotten tired and went back home on their way there. Ryuu came up with an idea.

"Hey Kakashi, wanna have a race?"

He said with a smirk on his face,

Kakashi responded simply by nodding.

Even though Ryuu was faster than Kakashi, he still had a disadvantage because when Kakashi was raised here he knew where to go and where not to.

"Ready set Go!!!" both of them took off leaving nothing but dust left, not long after Ryuu was ahead of Kakashi leaving him by a little, then suddenly Kakashi takes a left Ryuu follows him and makes another left too, but he looks up to find Kakashi jumping from the roof to another as he looks back down he realizes he's about to hit someone in front of him.

"Wooah, watch out!!

Ryuu stood up, rubbing his head.

"Hey kid, you alright?" after opening his eyes there's a girl with long, red, straight hair, a yellow dress, and the Konoha headband on her forehead.

'She has to be Kushina Uzumaki.'

Ryuu widened his eyes.
