Tang Sect

(MC POV)

When I first came to, I was under a wooden ceiling, the smell of medicines permeating through the air, and sounds of muffled crying next to me. Turning my head towards the right with difficulty surpassing that of fighting an evil king in a dystopian world, I saw a child, a small tuft of black hair stuck to his head and his teary eyes containing pain.

'Ah!', I realized. We had been abandoned on the streets and it had started raining. We must have gotten a fever. As I looked ahead, I saw an old man standing there and looking at me as if discerning something.

"Get me the clothes. Prepare the herbs and bring them in." I heard the old man order.

The next thing I knew, my eyes had started heating up as if trying to burn a hole through the sockets in my skull. My head started aching and I wailed unable to control this childish body of mine. I saw the old man's hand nearing me through my half-lidded eyes. Then, I felt numb and crossed into oblivion.

------Timeskip - 1 Month --------

I woke up, my eyes fluttering. As I tried moving my body, I groaned in pain. Realizing the stupidity of trying to stand up with a 2-month-old body I fell back onto the soft platform under me.

"The boy has woken up! Call the Sect Master!" I heard an idiot who thought it was wise to scream near a recently bedridden 2-month old child shout.

I felt a soft sensation next as I moved my hand, looking towards my right, I saw black eyes sparkling with childlike curiosity and an intelligence betraying their age.

The next second we were picked up and dipped in an unknown liquid and felt my skin sear in pain but cool the next moment. This went on for 5 more minutes before we were pulled out and wiped and laid in the beds again.

After a few minutes of thoughtful contemplation of my life to come, I slept again.

-------Timeskip - 12 years-------

"How dare an Outer Sect Disciple cheat!" A disciple wearing intricate robes befitting only those of Inner Sect Disciple shouted while kicking a boy in blue clothes dirtied from said kicks.

"Teach him a lesson!" another shouted.

"We should teach them to stay in their places!" another mob character shouted righteously.

As the Outer Sect Disciples avoided the onslaught of abuse on a disciple, the Inner Disciples who were unafraid of the consequences of kicking the disciple in front of them joined in the excursion.

"Tang San!" a shout was heard. The voice was masculine yet soft. However, there was a tone commanding respect.

The Inner Disciples turned their heads up to see the person who called their victim. It was a boy... no, a young man of the same age as them, wearing blue clothes which were the same as their victim, however, they were unblemished. He had black hair down to his shoulders, the same length as his brother's, however, his hair had a certain wild look to it and was many shades darker than his brother's.

'Like an abyss, luring you in, entrancing, and capturing you.' a female Inner Sect Disciple had told. Clearly, the rumors of his looks were true. He had piercing crimson eyes, seemingly enchanting yet dangerous at the same time. They felt naked under the gaze of those crimson orbs as if they could see through everything in the world.

'They contained wisdom and intelligence beyond his age.' the Sect Master had complimented. It had drawn the jealousy of many disciples, however, they were afraid to act on it.

He was known as a prodigy among prodigies, capable of cultivating at the speed of inner disciples with limited resources provided to one belonging to the outer sect. It was known that he had beaten up 10 Inner Disciples at the tender age of 12 and had continued doing so to the rest who hurt his brother.

'Crimson Eyed Demon', they called him. He was unrestrained and powerful, which is why they were afraid of him.

Crack! Crack! Shatter!

Smash! Shatter!

They did not have time to continue with their thoughts as a crushing pressure descended upon them. Yes, Tang Yin had unlocked Conqueror's Haki.

--------Flashback - 3 Years Ago-------

Chakra is known to be a combination of physical energy and spiritual energy. There exists no physical energy in this world. However, detailed research on Vital Energy led me to believe it was it's equivalent in this world.

The results of my research were astounding. I had discovered 3 energies, Spiritual Power, Qi in this world which is also the equivalent of Spirit Power in the world of Douluo Dalu, and Vital Energy.

The combination of Spirit Power and Vital Energy had resulted in the formation of an Energy similar to Chakra. I was able to unlock my 3 Tomoe Sharingan after 2 years of practice. I had finally managed to improve my Chakra Control where I was able to use the Sharingan without repercussions.

The result of the combination of Spiritual Power and Qi was chaotic, to say the least. How I was able to attribute the energy to Haki from One Piece came from the observation that the control of the combination of these two energies depended on one's own willpower.

I had severe headaches for 2 weeks as a result of combining these 2 energies. However, I was unable to use Armament Haki which leads me to believe that although they are similar they have their own differences, or there are aspects of these energies which I have not yet explored.

--------Current -------

As all the Five Inner Disciples fell to their knees only the footsteps of Tang Yin were heard.

Tap! Tap! Clomp!

However, to the ones who knew that Tang Yin was the boy who was arriving, they resounded as drums leading them to the Underworld. They might have broken a few bones but staying would be worse than dying. Hence, 3 of the 5 Disciples desperately picked their legs up and scurried off.

The remaining 2 looked on in shock as their Seniors abandoned them. When they thought of the guy who was able to scare their seniors, they started sweating, desperately trying to leave.

However, Tang Yin had arrived before them and their screams resounded through the area before it died out 20 seconds later. they had been in bed for 2 weeks and had only been let off because Tang San had asked his brother to stop. They had vowed that day to not involve themselves with the 2 brothers.

"Tang San! Are you okay?!" asked a concerned Tang Yin to his younger brother.

"Yes, Brother Yin" Tang San replied gently. Although he was not as great as a genius like Tang Yin, he was a genius ahead of his generation. No one other than Tang Yin and the elders could seriously injure him.

However, Tang Yin was his brother and he was bound to be concerned. He had gotten attached to this innocent yet intelligent gentle spoken brother of his over the 12 years they had spent together.

"Come on. Let's get you bandaged up Xiao San." Tang Yin spoke.

"It is not needed, Brother--" Tang San was about to reply but seeing the stern look on his brother's face, he gave up and sighed before following him back.
