Cassarae crossed her arms over her chest, her steely blue eyes practically boring holes into Sylas' own.
"I guess that's true," Sylas eventually replied, standing to his full height.
Cassarae couldn't help but sneer. "What's that? You have a little bit of power now and your balls finally dropped? You want the both of us, is that it?"
Sylas' lip curled slightly. It was probably the closest thing to a smile that anyone would ever get, and to Cassarae, that small curl was practically Sylas laughing out loud. She remembered always getting a rise out of him doing that because it meant she had said something funny.
Of course, she knew the real circumstances about what happened and wouldn't be mad about such a thing. Rather, this anger was entirely due to their last interaction.
Since Sylas had given her such a weakness to grab onto, why wouldn't she take it?
"Is that jealousy?"
