Selina "Seling" Pueblo: Lamented II

Seling covered her mouth to stop herself from sobbing as tears streamed down her cheeks. Her heart throbs seeing him like this, hopeless. And the thought of leaving him didn't even flashed in her mind.

Macquier smiled and reached her face. "No… it's okay. He will... be fine w-without me because... he has you."

She immediately shook her head and replied, "I can't… I can't do this alone!"

"You have to… for our son. Take my.. B-bag. The truth… a-about Khaston's t-treachery… is there," he said in between his heavy breathing. "I… l-love you, H-helmi." A curve formed on his lips as his eyes became heavy. "G-go… a-and send the message… to the Lord," he uttered and coughed blood.

Seling closed her eyes tightly and looked at her son who's sleeping peacefully. She must be strong enough to protect him from Khaston. For the last time, she gazed at her husband and said, "I love you and don't worry. I will protect our son. It's time for you to rest now."
