Dazaree bit her lower lip and fixed her gaze on him. "I'm not going to sit here and wait for things to happen," she declared. "I will investigate her death, but I will need your assistance to succeed," she pleaded. She realizes she can't do it alone. She is, after all, still a teen.

"No. I'm afraid not. I'm sorry," Kenneth said flatly, then sat down with his fork to eat his red velvet cake. Dazaree was extremely disappointed by this. It was as if he no longer cared about Cienna.

"I thought you didn't stop looking?" Dazaree interrogated him.

"I don't want to stop but I have to because it's useless knowing I can't fight back," he responded and sipped his coffee. His expression is still the same which makes Dazaree question his love for Cienna.

Dazaree sighed and said, "Don't you wanna know the truth? Don't you want to have justice for her death?"

Kenneth Reyes ignored her and told her, "Drink your coffee before it gets cold."
