In a dark room with an only lamp as a source of light on the table, a young girl was reading a book in the corner quietly. Her age is about ten years old but she's smaller than the average height of her age. Her thin body is pale and was covered with bruises. Some of it looks fresh and some looks weeks old.

The girl flipped the page after reading it. Her soft innocent face was so lovely yet she has visible scars of cuts and bruises.

As she read the book, she suddenly heard heavy footsteps coming in the direction of her room, causing her eyes to widen. Her face looks scared as she stares at the door as if she was expecting a monster to come into her room.

She immediately went underneath her bed and left the book on the table. Her sweaty hands were trembling as her pupils dilated in fear. When she heard the footsteps getting nearer, she bit her lower lip to prevent herself from crying.
