Reincarnated : Part 1

When I opened my eyes I was sitting in front of a birthday cake. It was a strawberry cake with chocolate frosting saying Happy Birthday, and was decorated with juicy looking strawberries but they were already chewed upon. I looked up at the high ceiling which was decorated in gold and white marble. It was connected with the pillars that had statues of people wearing regal clothing and was ornamented in expensive jewels and lined with gold and silver.

I looked to my side and saw a cute child in tears. He had black hair with a platinum streak on the right side. He had pale white skin and red cheeks. He was wearing noble clothes and looked stunning and slightly feminine. He was in tears which had puffed his cheeks and swollen his eyes. He said "I am sorry sister. I know you love strawberries yet I ate them off our birthday cake" He looked adorable and I wanted to hug him but then I realised that I did not have a brother and was confused. I regarded it as a realistic dream and instantly tried to comfort him. After a while when he stopped crying we ate the cake and I followed him to what was apparently 'our room'.

I had also come to the conclusion that I was in a child's body called Luna. I had similar hair as the young child and looked a lot like him. I was wearing a puffy pink dress with a bow on my waist and light pink bellies. It was considerably simple yet looked sweet. I thought that this dream did not make sense. I excused myself from my clingy 'brother' and tried to remember what had happened.

After suffering from a splitting headache I remembered the betrayal of my partner and my death. I also gained memories of the child whose body I was in and knew that I had reincarnated. This girl was abandoned by her father and thrown into the Argesto palace with her brother. Their mother had died and worst of all the young girl was not even registered as a member of the royal family and was non-existent on the official papers.

I understood that this place is dangerous and I have to escape my fate. I looked out the window and saw an unkempt garden which certainly had never been taken care of and a dried fountain which had broken, chipped off ends.

Even though my brother was the only heir to the crown and both of us were royals, the servants didn't treat us well and even bullied us sometimes. Since the emperor never cared for us the funds of the palace were embezzled by the butlers and servants. Leaving us with barely any money. Who would believe that the only child of the emperor was eating tasteless uncooked vegetables and not luxurious meals. Looks like I have to work hard in this life too.
