Let's go Create

In a corner a youth can be seen moving his hands around a holographic image. The facial image of that youth sometimes shock and sometimes disappointed but he still continued what he was doing.

Gab was busy using his skill Gene Creation at the moment, he was doing a trial-and-error process at the moment to look for a way how gene runes can become active and passive. He wanted it that way because he don't want some traits to stay the way it was as he will look like a monster if he only considered the attacking property of the trait and not the activating and deactivating process.

Minutes became hours and Gab was still focused on what he is doing, in front of him was a weird looking runes that were combined in a weird way. Gab will sometimes insert different parts on it and the image will crumble because of a mistake and sometimes it will not but Gab will instantly disregard that piece because it was not to his liking.

"If I place it here the trait will become bizarre and I will cannot stop the rate of the growth of the claws, but if I place this piece here I can control the growth of the claws but the poison property will not appear on it. What I need is a poison claw that will enable me to control the claws from appearing and disappearing. If that monster finished drinking that liquid, I bet that it will move out from this place and my chance of escaping here will be very low" He pondered about everything that he needed to kill the monster and obtain its genes.

Using his gene creation skill, he studied and created different combination of the gene rune claws and venom like solving a puzzle. He zoomed in and zoomed out the runes to see if there are parts of it that can be fixed to make it an active ability. He turned every corner of the rune and looked even to the tiniest parts of it. Suddenly, while he was looking for every part, he stopped and looked at a small part of the rune. The part was so small that if he didn't zoomed it in to the max he will not notice it. He got curious to what is the use of this part so he scanned it with his skill gene scan. A data immediately pop-up in front if him.

[Permanent trait: With this trait, the gene will be permanently visible on the body of the one who will imbed it. This trait can be modified to become a trait that can be activated by the user at will.]

"So this is the one that will help me to make the gene be turned on and off. I will need to create a copy of this trait for future use maybe some of the gene that I can collect can be used with this trait." With a smile on his face he created a copy of the trait and started to modify it to become an activated trait.

5 hours later

"Phew, now this is what I call a perfect ability for me at the moment. It took me a whole day to come up with this gene rune with a lot of trial and error and a lot of trait to be removed and modify" he wiped the sweat on his face as he relaxed after completing the Gene Rune that he designed.

He looked at the information of the Gene Rune that he created satisfyingly as if it was his last and best creation he created in his life.

[Venomous burning claws: A gene ability that can be activated at will to produce a claw on his fingers that can cause the target to get poisoned when it made a contact to its blood. The claw also have a burning property in which it can burn the target and the degree of its burning effect depends on the level of the user.]

Gab was quite satisfied with the effect of the ability. Venom was not only the thing that he used for the claws but also his burning gene rune. Although the burning effect can only be used to cook the part of that the claws hit it was still enough because he knows that he can improve it as long as he grows stronger.

"I think this will be enough to harm and kill that monster, I only need to have a good reflex so that I can dodge its attacks. If that monster hit me once I will surely die without a doubt." Gab's body was not your typical 16 year old kid but a lot smaller and weaker than them. With a body that lack the nutrition needed to grow, Gab doesn't have much strength to fight the monster in a frontal attack so he needed to think of a way to sneak an attack on its weak spot to kill it immediately without having the chance for it to counter.

Without any solution at the moment, he started the process of imbedding the gene rune Venomous burning claws with his gene to see what effect it can show with his hands.

He clicked the Gene Rune that he wanted to imbed and a confirmation question appeared in front of him.

[Are you sure you want to integrate?]

"Yes!" he replied with determination

[Initiating integration... Gene Rune ready... The process will start in 3....2....1.. Gene Rune imbedding start!] the system started the process for Gab to obtain the Gene.

When the process started, Gab felt that something was changing inside him like putting something that it is not him forcefully to become a part of him. With this feeling, he started to feel hot all over his body and suddenly he was attacked by extreme pain.

"AHHHHHHH!" he shouted.

The pain was so intense that it felt like tearing his soul as if that he will die soon, but he didn't even if he wanted to. His screams was so loud that in reverberated to the whole room that he was in. Fortunately he was inside the room that he found the cube and his voice didn't travel outside or else the monster will know that it has company.
