Gene System

Blake is a young man who has had to suffer through devastation over and over again losing more than just an arm. With no power of his own he could barely stand a chance against others or even be deemed useful by the military. All he can do is accept his sister's help bitterly knowing he can't return it to the same effect. After a series of events a meeting with near death shocks him to his very core changing his life forever. Awakening a hidden element buried deep within his genetic code. The Gene System, an advanced complex genetic technology used to expand and improve the overall potential and direction of evolution for the user's genetic code naturally mapping out and directing where the user should go with the growth they obtain. Not much else is known, only that few on every planet are given one through unknown means. The current state of the world is racked with unbridled chaos as the military fruitless attempts to stop the atrocities committed by the organisation known as the Gene hunters. Seeking to steal and splice any genetic data they can get their hands on by whatever psychotic means whether it be dissection, slow harvesting or cloning ethics are not a concern. Hundreds of thousands have been affected by the gene hunters including Blake's family. Some are never seen again, just used as cows for genetic harvesting over and over again until they dried up never to see their families again. Changes have begun to sprout in the background of earth leading to more and more mysterious events occurring, genetic powers becoming stronger, animals becoming mutated and evolving faster than normal generational lines. All the while in the background an unknown force beyond human comprehension lurks just beyond the veil waiting patiently for the time to run out and indulge in his planet level feast devouring all life in sight. Blake will give his all to overcome these brutal circumstances by whatever means. No matter the pain, suffering or loss he will continue to go forward no matter the cost. Failure isn't a devastation but a stepping stone in his larger goal. In his pursuit to build his strength he wont forget where he came from guarding the weak as someone who grew from that. Seeing the lack of care or acknowledgement to the majority viewed as weak in the military disdain makes him step up as the leader needed to change the structure of this world for the better. In the weak there is strength which Blake knows all too well. His reason to go forward is to become the man he wants to be. The only thing that truly terrifies is the idea of letting it all go, giving up and betraying himself and his potential.

Beyond

A planet within earth's solar system.

Plasma fingers flow with unsteadiness. Worry saturating the brightness of the glow. Inside a lavish room what would be furnishing is composed of a variety of different energies. Sitting on the cascading flow of plasma. A being sits on what looks to be the image of a bed. Slowly breathing in energy through her worry.

"The connection, It's dying". She says as the odd bond formed slowly crumbles followed by the green energy falling apart, losing its normal aggressiveness. Color fading away with each breath.

The connection strikes through her mind almost begging for assistance, pleading through the fading pulse of life within it.

"I can't let you die. I don't know why but a part of me is screaming out not to let it happen". Turquoise fingers clenched into a fist slamming down on the bed.

"Even if you're a hybrid". Forming her hands into a circle against her chest. Her mind begins to focus on the connection ringing out to her. Visualizing the dimming green strands, her own energy starts to cling on to them, breathing life back into it.

Green starts to grow brighter and brighter until turquoise starts to overshine it as it's continuously absorbed, drawing her own energy endlessly draining it rapidly.

"That's a 5th of my overall energy". The luminous turquoise starts to dim as the last energy is sent across the connection.

"SO"

"YOU BETTER LIVE" She screams out.

Earth

"He's dead, they killed him". The girl from before goes into full blown hysteria seeing the continuous pouring of blood. The puddle keeps growing. Staining the green of the jungle in crimson.

"We have to go girl". A student emerges through the thicket of the jungle. Carrying a comforting smile. Making his way over to her, he puts a hand on her shoulder.

"We don't want to end up like him now do we" He says, only for the same smile to turn into a psychotic grin.

"Sadly though that's what the cards have in store for you" He says as his face melts away.

The characteristics of the student before here disappeared leaving only the ominous outline of a humanoid like mercury taking shape, the only color remaining being silver.

"Cricket add 1 more in the mix" A mouth forms on the silver face.

"This one has an interesting power" The figure stretches out his silver hands gripping to her face.

Overwhelming panic causes her body to go stiff and shut down entirely waiting for her fate to be delivered. Tears form slowly waiting for the hand of death to fall.

*Zap* Sparks start to come back to life slowly forming into a dance hailing a coming return.

*Spark*

*CCCCCRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSHHHHHH*

An almighty roar of thunder rings out through the space, the electricity that died off slowly starts to find their home again. Slowly the bloody figure begins to find his way to his feet.

"HES ALIVE"! The silver figure says as dread fills him.

"Greed will take us if we let it" The silver figure lets go of his grip on the girl trying to catch up to Blake and Cricket.

"Now this is some energy to work with". An odd cadence enters Blake's voice. Feeling the energy crackling off him. He begins jumping up and down stretching out his muscles.

"I'll take this as my que to take over Blake". The voice shifts to a low pitch as the electricity covering his face becomes more aggressive, turquoise dominating the surging energy pouring out of him.

"Let's see if your toy can handle this''. A blood hungry smile forms within the returning electricity covering his face.

An unstable turquoise electricity starts to take shape overlaying over the prosthetic. Like muscle clinging to bone the electricity begins to spread the whole prosthetic sending it into overdrive. Speed and precision start to take over the prosthetic pushing it past its normal limits. The mechanical fingers strain from the force being generated.

"Brother"?

"You're not brother who are you"! Zeus says feeling the alien presence in his brother. Worry crashes over him seeing what's unfolding.

"Not now ,squirt, ask him later". A sharp low tone shoots through Zeus making him tear up a little.

"Now where is that glob of snot?" The hollow black eyes of the electric visage covering him seek out the foe.

"THERE"

"What was it he used again, right sound. Wonder if your little toys will actually be useful" The low pitch voice buzzes out of his face.

[Power supplement activated]

"LETS SEE IF YOU CAN KEEP UP"! Blakes body yells out piercing fear into the gene hunter. His boots start to crackle and pop as fuses start to blow out from the intense energy dump.

In an instant Blake is behind the gene hunter, a screech of sound escapes from the prosthetic many decibels higher than normal. Disrupting the structure of the hunter before him.

The slime starts to break apart from the barrage of sound causing the injured hunter to fall out with only semi formed flesh covering his shoulder.

"HOW ARE YOU STILL ALIVE? YOU WERE RUN THROUGH, BLOOD WAS POOLING EVERYWHERE"! Cricket says struggling to react to the unexpected. Gaining some ground he bounces back a couple 100 feet.

Zeus is left in complete shock seeing a different creature entirely take over his brother. His own energy struggles to move. Panic keeping the buzzing and zapping contained within him, not allowing him action.

"You have a core don't you"? Blakes says electricity forming into a wide grin, piecing together what needs to be done.

"Let's go fishing for it then". He cackles out, making the sparks go into a violent dance as he rushes forward

Putting his arms behind him webs glow out aggressively, the swarm of energy making the webs form unstable. His body moves in the blink of an eye, lunging forward with all of his muscles' energy.

"HOW CAN YOU EVEN STAND?" Cricket yells out as the composition of his body hardens preparing for the onslaught.

"IT DOESN'T MATTER BECAUSE YOUR DEAD"! Blakes grin spreads wide

The webs rip their way through the hardened slime with ease, wrapping around their target. Blake continues his fierce momentum flashing past him. A glowing orb like crystal is stuck in the crackling webs.

"YOU"! Cricket says as his whole body crashes to the ground forming into a blue puddle.

"Save it for the afterlife you pile of snot" The expressions in the electricity go still.

*Crush* Electric fingers break through the core shattering it apart as it falls to the grass.

Like acid wiping the slate clean, the puddle breaks apart as an anguished expression crumbles away into the grass of the juggle. Only clumps of blue remain.

"Pathetic". Blakes other side says shooting out a glob of static in the direction of cricket.

His body starts to stiffen rapidly, needles fixing him in place refusing to let him move as the force of gravity crashes down on him.

"Dammit"!

"Of course the body's drawback would get in the way of my fun"! The low voice starts to dissipate. The other side of Blake disappearing into the homely black of his mind.

*SIM ROOM HAS BEEN DEACTIVATED*

*ENTRANCES HAS BEEN OPEN*

The jungle falls away, the familiar white squares of the sim room come into view. The space opens various holes back into the real world.

A shadow streaks its way out of the unlocked sim room. "I can't believe he took out cricket. We need a new set of appearances now Mimic!

"We need to join up with Kelly while we can, well be able to grab some more on the way". Kolt says getting his bearings back from the fight.

"I couldn't get there in time I'm sorry" Mimic says.

"Its fine we were bound to loose someone in this attack. He wont be forgotten". Kolt says gripping at his barely healed wound.

"You'll have to give me some time, I already formed a lot disguises today" Mimic says.

"I can barely return to my own form right now" He says looking at his silver hands changing and shaping continuously.
