CHAPTER 136 GLUTTON'S SUPERIORITY

Angered by their actions, the transformed skull starts attacking them, but the other teachers are not letting it act the way it wants.

"Is it just me, or is that thing unlike the other two? It is as if it still has its rationality," states one of the undead teachers.

Moonlight Archer's expression turns ugly as she also realises that their opponent is even getting smarter by the second, as each death on the battlefield seems to fuel its intelligence and strength.

A deep roar rings in the heads of everyone on the battlefield. The teachers freeze, and the tiger-head monster uses this opportunity to open his mouth and swallow Leon whole.

"No!" Ougen shouted, but it was too late. A shadow appears and knocks Leon away, barely escaping the gaping maw of the tiger head monster.

It was Glutton; the system summons it as a last resort, causing a large amount of energy to be expended, but because of the wanton slaughter caused by the maddened genetic lifeforms, there is an abundance of energy swirling in the air.

The system did not expect that the spirit of the Malevolent Tiger would evolve to this degree, to the point that it had summoned three different entities that were not under the system's or even Cleo's control.

ROAR! Suddenly, the unknown beast transforms and becomes a giant humanoid entity with a giant mouth on its fat belly; it has six wings made out of flesh; multiple eyes are on the wings; and its legs are full of wriggling muscles that move in an erratic manner.

As it releases a deep and loud roar, everyone realises that it is actually panicking. This made the eyes of the teachers light up; they know why it is afraid, and their attacks become more restrained. They are reserving their strength to stop the three monsters from reaching Leon.

The tiger monster is now being attacked by the full force of all the fake Supernaturals, together with the undead teachers and the teachers that were responsible for stopping it earlier.

"Get back!" Ougen roars as he punches the skull of the tiger head monster, but even with this powerful blow, the monster is not backing down and pushes through.

The system orders Glutton to attack the tiger head monster; this order is inconceivable for anyone on Glutton's level.

If someone told Cleo that the system would give such a stupid order, he would not believe them.

This is the first time that the system is betting on a small percentage of success. It has a theory; if it is correct, then they might be able to turn the tables with just Glutton, but if it is wrong, then it would waste one of Cleo's precious soul slots.

Glutton, without hesitation or even fear, leaps at the forehead of the tiger head monster; it then bites its ears, and both of them freeze as they simultaneously sense something.

The roaring unknown beast also freezes as it wants to stop itself from fighting the Supernaturals of the genetic lifeforms side to deal with Glutton and Leon.

Meanwhile, the tiger head monster roars; its voice is laced with fear as Glutton starts eating it. Seeing such an unbelievable scene happening in front of them, everyone freezes; unfortunately, this does not include the other two monsters.

They immediately made a break for it. The expression of everyone changes as all of them scramble to stop the two monsters. Ougen has his hands tied to the tiger head monster.

Seeing that Glutton is extremely effective against his target, he immediately decided to suppress it in order for the former to continue weakening it.

The system is relieved that its bet pays off; just like it had speculated, the tiger head monster, along with the other two, are created by the power of the Gemstone of Life, but they are just byproducts of the unknown beast.

Compared to Glutton, which is the true product of both the system and the Gemstone of Life, they are full of flaws; unfortunately, the difference between their strengths is just too great. Without the existence of the teachers to suppress the monsters, Glutton would have been unable to showcase its superiority against them.

"Hahaha! It seems that you are afraid of this little dog, huh! Well, too bad for you! I will not let you harm this magnificent beast!" Mocks Ougen as he punches the paw of the tiger head monster away from Glutton.

The tiger-head monster opens its mouth and releases a sonic roar that blows Glutton away, injuring it heavily. One of the undead teachers hurriedly caught him; he then saw his expression and instantly understood.

He throws him back in the direction of the tiger head monster, startling everyone, but the reaction of the latter made them realise that he is not out of the game.

Ougen elbows the head of the tiger head monster, causing it to crash to the ground. He roars at the other teachers.

"Prevent it from releasing another sonic roar!"

Such an attack might not be dangerous for them, but it is very effective against Glutton since he is so weak.

The other teachers instantly make their move as two of them go to Glutton's side, acting as his guard, while the rest are standing near the mouth of the tiger head monster.

It might be dangerous to be so close to its mouth, but they are willing to risk it if it means that they can successfully kill the monster in front of them.

"Hold on! Just one final push!" Ougen roars, no longer knowing if it is for his comrades or himself; his muscles are now aching because he had used too much of his strength against such a formidable foe.

'Wait! It is growing weaker! ' He realises something as he blocks one of the tiger head monster's tails; its attack is no longer as heavy as earlier.

It was Glutton; he is the perfect weapon against these monstrosities. Since the three monsters are made from the energy of the deceased beings that the Gemstone of Life processed, he can easily absorb their energy, empowering himself.

The system has used a large amount of energy in the air to summon him in a regular condition, considering that he was on the verge of death earlier, but now that the existence of these monsters has become nutrients for him, his strength is increasing by the second and his injuries are recovering rapidly.

The tiger-head monster opens his mouth, but the teacher punches it's chin and nose in order to close it. Ougen even lets out an all-out punch on its nape.

The tiger head monster was the most pitiful of the three monsters; not only does he have to deal with attacks from the genetic warriors standing far away from it, but Glutton and the teachers are also preventing it from releasing any powerful attacks.

Just like the transformed skull, it focuses on physical strength but thinks that its greatest power will become a fatal weakness.

Suddenly, the entire battlefield is enveloped in an oppressive atmosphere, and the expressions of the genetic warriors become ugly.

The first teacher to be killed by the three monsters has finally fallen; the one that killed a teacher was the transformed skull. The teacher was trying to prevent it from advancing, but this was a foolish move as unlike the other two, this monster has intelligence.

After reigning in its instinct, actually going against its creator's wishes, it has obtained superior strength, but because Leon's evolution also threatens it, it is still following the main command of the unknown beast.

It does not realise that the unknown beast has already discovered its betrayal and will deal with it once Leon is killed.

ROAR! The unknown beast lets out a beastial roar that is full of pain. A golden entity comes out of its large mouth and flies to the sky. The dark and gloomy sky changes. It is still dark, but it no longer contains a despairing feeling but more like oppressive might.

ROA,R! A dragon's roar was heard, spreading throughout the battlefield and startling everyone. They quickly turned their heads up, except for the teachers, who were now wholly focusing on the three monsters. Everyone was mesmerised by a figure flying above in the sky.

"Hey, isn't that the dragon form of Lord Miracle Child?" one of the warriors who has seen the Thunder Cloud Dragon Form immediately asks the person next to him.

Those that are familiar with Cleo immediately reacted; all of them started calling him by his name or title, and all of them thought that it was impossible for him to contend against the unknown beast.

The dragon flying in the sky is not Cleo; it is the spirit of the Thunder Cloud Dragon. The existence of the Malevolent Tiger already irks it, and now that it has harmed Cleo, it is now angry and intent on killing it.
