Chapter 26- Price to Pay

They used gel on their wounds, and within half an hour their wounds started to make a quick recovery but they got closed falling into a deep sleep as told by Rimuru.

Arc was making the stew of his own killed monsters but his stomach was already filled so he didn't have much space to eat. But the meat of the monster bull was not much because its hard outer shell could not be eaten. Their bones were thick and strong which was taking a huge space in its body.

But if he considered helping extract the meat from the monsters with others then he would be tired and have much more space inside his stomach to eat even more.

His gains were much better this time and there was no danger, especially because he was tagging along with Gojo. Till now he have not seen any monster that could stand against him.

Arc helped others extract the meat from the monster's bodies so they could eat quickly.

His tired self was only able to eat from Monster Bull and after that his stomach was already to the brim, during that time, many notifications appeared on the status panel of the Arc regarding the gain of gene points.

Arc has acquired the 3 Ordinary gene points in total. These gene points were changing the genes of the Arc from basic structure to bring change into his body. This change was not very rapid but slow.

Arc rejoiced in this change and feeling while closing his eyes. Everyone else was also enjoying their meal except Zoro and Gojo.

Gojo was staring daggers at Zoro because the few people who managed to escape after attacking his people were gradually making him even angrier.

Vero on the other side met the view of the shelter that was more lively than their shelter.

Loli was next to him and now they walked slowly instead of running like before. Many people were inside and outside the Shelter.

"The sun is about to go down. So, as you have confirmed with your own eyes, I think shelter is here. How about we now go and make your party members come here. if they are late, then the gates of the shelter would be closed by then." Loli said to Vero who nodded and agreed.

Vero's face was not cold and expressionless like before, but it was neutral and softened a little.

"I think, we should go quickly. Others may have also arrived there right now." Vero said.

They returned just after entering the gate of the shelter.

Their speed was as fast as they could. Vero still could not keep up with Loli's speed but his technique of running and balance was improving slowly while trying to copy Loli, Vero felt that even though he was improving rapidly but something was lacking in his copying her style. This feeling was irritating and annoying him to no end.

Vero legs were slowly getting heavy and feeling pain grip them, this was happening because he was trying to merge his leg martial arts with whatever he had just copied from the Loli.

His legs were slowly feeling its being ripped from the inside, but he kept going through all this pain while making a little change now and then to find the best way which did not take much toll on his body. His struggle was taking long and long. At this time, Loli was looking at Vero with interest obvious in her eyes to know about this guy. His trying to copy the technique that she took so long to master was a big interest to her. 

'Should I help him a little? He is clearly still struggling to gain control of my techniques. He would cripple his legs if he kept going like this.' Loli thought to herself. Eventually her thoughts of helping him won in the conflict of her thoughts.

She decided to stop to let Vero catch up with him. Vero was focused on improving himself and didn't notice Loli stopping. He almost ended up crashing into her.

"Don't use the core strength, Use the push strength along with raised momentum on toes while putting the feet on the ground with strength so the pressure on the legs can shaken off by slamming into the ground or any object you want. My technique that you are just trying to copy for the running aspect is actually made for attacking and striking as its primary purpose." Loli expressed the deep points of the technique to Vero.

Vero tried quickly grasping the points said by her on the trees around but his steps destroyed the trees and he lost his balance falling to the ground because he never expected that trees would be destroyed while his foot made connect with them.

"Be patient and decrease the physical power behind the steps. That will make it easier for you." Loli explained while showing him a little demonstration of what she just said.

He controlled his strength and started running. He was smiling at his success in grasping a way more efficiently using speed while using minimal physical force. But he does know that he needs to practice it over again and again to make it into muscle memory where he will be perform it without even thinking about it.

He now mastering more speed was running from one tree to another with Loli to reach back to party members quickly so they could rest there in peace without having to constantly think about guarding against some unexpected attacks from monsters at night.

Gojo while sitting was having various thoughts in his mind about this adventure he was now on and this was the first time he had to think about something so much in all seriousness. There is a task that his family entrusted to him and these people who robbed his party and then there was this Loli which he does not know much about.
