Chapter 23- Innocent or Cunning

The person who shouted this was the Vero.

For the first time, he was out of his character of being cold expressions.

A horde of monsters slowly started to run in different directions after the death of that monster. The unison in monsters was nowhere to be seen now.

"Attack them," Gojo said while he made a leap jumping in the direction of the monster he killed.

Bow and arrow were nowhere now but there was that sword monster skill in his hand and like a butcher, he walked killing any monsters charging at him. All it took to kill a monster bull was only one strike no matter what level of monster it was, blood was making the sight a horror show.

Blood splattered on his clothes too but Gojo didn't even care about it.

Arc and others were also killing as many as monsters they could. Vero, Rimuru and Arc were attacking the monsters from long range while Nappa also jumped down summoning a knuckles monster soul which had sharp points on it. He wasn't skilled like Gojo in butchering the monster but he was a brute who fought with fists to the flesh. He employed some kind of technique even when it looked like that Nappa hadn't done any damage, the monster still started wailing in pain.

He madly fought two monsters at one time, and even upon being hit by the bull monster, he had a smile like he was enjoying this fight.

Vero wasn't any bad and he called arrow monster souls and started shooting one after another.

Dying this short time of barrage of attacks, the land got filled with the bodies of monsters.

Arc even after trying several times, only made a successful attack on five monsters because it wasn't like before when monsters were dense and together, so he missed quite a lot of shots.

Arc when read the last message, he remembered the first monster who he injured by mistake.

'He must have died from bleeding or a stampede of monsters just now.' Arc thought to himself.

This shield can be useful but he already has the Enigma rank Armour-type monster soul which made it useless. Even though two covers of defences are better than one.

Gojo finally made his way to the monster he had killed and then summoned a serpent-looking creature whose top looked like some barbaric human.

He was more of a Naga than a serpent. His size was two times bigger than humans with the highest height which was around 20 to 22 feet.

Naga grabbed the monster bull from its legs and started chomping on him. Nothing was bothering him during eating, nor the hard shell of the armoured bull or poison inside the body of the bull which was caused by Gojo's poison arrow.

It was eating the bull with such a speed that in 5 minutes that were nothing left to the point that there was a monster's dead body except for light purple coloured blood on the ground.

Gojo called back this creature, but a significant change can be noticed in the monster this creature grew a little taller after eating the bull monster. This little tall creature was a huge change for others to see.

Vero had hunted many monsters till all of them dispersed completely. Nappa's luck was not very good because only killed 4 monsters with his close combat.

As for Rimuru, he was in the worst position because alloy weapons were not very powerful to begin with and these monsters were defence concentrated ones which made it even worse.

Apart from these killed monsters of everyone, and butchered monsters of Gojo, there were also monsters' bodies lying on the ground which were killed in the stampede.

"Hello oops with white hair. Thank you for saving me." A little girl appeared walking from the direction where these monster bulls were headed.

"I didn't save anyone and who the hell are you calling oops. You lie and fake Loli. You are still too green to deceive me." Gojo said casually and started looking at his clothes which were now dirty.

"Hey, do any of you guys carry extra clothes? I want to change it in the next shelter because I hate being in messy clothes." Gojo said.

"Well, I am from the nearest shelter. I can help you in going there but don't you wanna know why those bull monsters were going haywire running crazily." Loli again tries striking conversation with Gojo but he does not pay attention to him.

"Gojo who is this kid, don't know anything about her. What is she doing here? Is she trying to steal our hunt?" Vero asked without a single care in the world of hurting other people's feelings.

"I don't know, I just her coming here while spouting some nonsensical crap. Anyway, she is not a loli, I can assure you that, it must be either a disguise or a medical condition. What about the clothes I just asked about?" Gojo said while trying to swat away the blood leaking from his shirt which ended up sprinkling over everyone standing in the area near him.

Loli hearing Gojo bad-mouthing her didn't say anything except making faces because she knew that this boy was strong which could be felt by her instincts shouting at her to stay within her limits with this guy.

Seeing Arc, she felt like a new puppy unaware that predators have entered the forest.

"If you don't believe me, he can go with me and check for himself that am I lying or telling the truth." She said pointing toward Arc who just come there after slowly coming down from the tree.

"I think Vero is more proficient in this matter. So, he will go with you." Gojo said.

"Hey, Vero listen you go with her and see if there is a shelter nearby, according to the map it should also be nearby. Just remember that truth in life is accepted or.."
