The start of every thing

Robert sighed as he started to remember the past and how the apocalypse started, how sad it was when it all began, and how chaotic it was as it started, moreover that everything was normal, as others living their lives as they pleased, and the poor had to struggle to make ends meat for their family or just for themselves to survive in this cruel world, however, Robert and Faye are one of them the poor class the world called them even other people called them lazy saying that they should get a job, how sad it felt to be in their shoes, no one could understand their struggle if they are in this situation they could learn how hard it was just to survive, as many times they have to struggle to survive in this modern world, that's not the only thing that they were struggling to cope by each passing day.

The daily needs of every human being, even the basic needs like food, water, clothes, and many more have increased due to overpopulation.

Oh, this felt so sad just to hear their story but this is just how they become overpowered heroes in the apocalypse.

As Robert was digging inside the trash behind the market trying to find at least a bit of food just to survive, as he continued digging around the trash while Faye was looking around just to be sure that no employee could catch them in the act, but suddenly Faye turned her head to look at her brother.

Faye: come on do it faster, we don't have all day, Faye whispered frustratingly to her brother

Robert ignores her and keeps on digging inside the trash as suddenly Faye notices some police officer walking their way, Faye grabs Robert's forearm and runs away as fast as they can Faye runs towards one of the houses that unexpectedly someone has left open.

As the two ran inside the house Faye closed the door as she leans against the door while panting from running away from the police officer, surprisedly that some police officer noticed them digging inside the trash Ben as the two breath a sigh of relief, someone unexpectedly walked towards them with an aura that'll make you pee your pants.

Robert and Faye were stunned in place as they both saw someone walk up to them, Faye tried to open the door however it was locked by someone as Faye was about to sob Robert took out his knife and ran in front of Faye and tried to protect her from this unknown person that was just suddenly or magically appear out of nowhere.

However the unknown person just clapped his hands in delight as he was about to speak he noticed that the two were homeless,

Unknown person: well this is unexpected he said in a chilling voice as he looked at the two with a gaze full of curiosity

Robert: get back or I'll hurt you, Robert trembles in fear not knowing what will happen to them 

The unknown person smiled and stepped back a little and said well what do you want from this poor and helpless old man? he asked with an expected grin on his face

Faye looked at his brother with tears in her eyes as she also trembled from the unknown person's gaze.

Robert bites his lip and says in a loud voice just to look intimidating to the unknown person in front of him, you better open this door or I'll just break your bones

Faye was shocked by his brother's words, she knows her brother well but hearing her brother say this kind of word was the first thing in her life, however in this kind of situation, she knows that her brother means well and forever protect her from harm even when he's the one who has to sacrifice his life for her.

Faye felt so weak at the time she didn't understand why her brother had to do this just for her,

Robert just holds the knife ready to attack him without any hesitation in his face.

Robert if you dare try to touch one bit of my sister you'll be a dead man you hear me Robert shouts at the man who's unknowingly the future master that aided them to survive the apocalypse.

The unknown man just laughed as he started to get interested in Robert and Faye he looked at them and smiled as he was so pleased by Robert's strong gaze and was ready to fight just to save his sister he stepped closer and looked at them as he said with a delightful tone,

The Unknown person so you are ready to kill me just to survive and protect your sister right? He asked in a tone that'll make you run away due to fear, Robert just looked at him with a gaze that'll make you fear him, however, the unknown men just looked at him with delight as Robert replied, I just want my sister to be safe from men like you even though I don't know what is your interaction for my sister and I, he said without any hesitation, the unknown person puts out his hand but Robert cut him without thinking the unknown person just took his hand back and looks at him as wound immediately heal in an instant Robert and Faye was stunned as Faye looked at the unknown person with shocked and asked without thinking

Faye how... How could that even be possible...

Faye said with confusion in her voice while the unknown person just smiled and played innocent as he said well this is just the ability I have gained in my life but you see I was rejected by society and about to be used as a lab rat in their experiment to create a stoppable army for the country he said without fear if the both of them escape and tell other people what they have just seen today he just stepped closer and held out his hand again and smiled so well you be my grandchildren then?

As the unknown person said the two just stood in place while looking at him with a suspicious look in their eyes, why?..

Robert said in a suspicious tone in his voice as he was so shocked if he should believe him or think what would happen if he refused his offer, both he and his sister were stunned to know that this person in front of them was not a human being at all even he looked like the average human around them.

The unknown person just smiled while his hand was still outstretched for him as he said well if you're not going to Introduce yourself I'll have to take the lead I guess he said in a tired tone. I am Rowan Lee Smith.

While both Robert and Faye are just looking at him without any thought of why is he so friendly towards them who just entered his home just remain calm about everything and ask them a weird favor.

Robert just stood there and looked at him as he slowly dropped his knife and shook Rowan's hand, you got a deal Mister Rowan Lee Smith as the two shook their hands Faye was so shocked by this as she leaned against the wooden door, feeling that a dark mist starting to take over all around her as she was starting to feel dizzy and was about to fell on the hard cold floor as Robert catch her when she was about to lose consciousness and said with a soft tone as he hold his sister in his arms, it's alright this is for the better, we both need a home to stay for a while until we think about something on how to survive in this cruel world he said in a soft voice as Faye lost consciousness.

Robert just looked at Rowan in the dark house that was soon to be their home as his sister lay there in his arms in the dark cold of the house.

Time flew by so fast as Robert was sitting in a comfy chair next to her sister sleeping soundly in the bed that looked brand new or hadn't been touched for a long time Robert smiled looking at his sister's sleeping face relaxing for once how he hopes nothing bad will happen to them all because he had agreed to Rowan's statement about them being his grandchildren how he felt scared if something happens to his one last family member.

He'd be devastated if something bad happened to her but it was his fault to blame in the first place if something really happened to her, however, he thought nothing would happen to them just because of how comfy and cute this house was as well of the design, even if the Rowan plans to take advantage of them in this situation they could just kill him without a second thought but this situation is different Rowan is not a human he already showed that he could heal so quickly when he just receive a cut from before when they had entered his home.

Knowing that they'll not going to live any longer if they have rejected him in the first place.

Slowly Robert stood up to leave the room as he turned his head to glimpse at his sister and the comfy room that Mister Rowan let his sister rest for today, Robert stepped out of the room closed the door turned his head to see Mister Rowan smirking in the dark hallway as he looked at Robert, your a smart guy ya know that?

He said as he walked up to Robert and Pat's Robert's shoulder, I know that if you two have refused me you two usually die, he smiled and walked away in the dark hallway as each step he took created a sound that made you understand that he could do more and this.

Robert just stood there clenching his fist in anger but just sighed and followed Mister Rowan and asked for more detail about this situation and what he wanted from them.

Robert walked down the hallway while looking at the dark blue color wall that had many paintings of each family member that has lived here in their life.

As Robert got near the staircase he stopped to look at one painting that stunned him in place as he looked at the person in the painting he trembled as he leaned against the cold wall while he gazed up to look at the painting that had his father in it, as Robert about to pass out due to shock mister Rowan walks up the to him as he looked at Robert leaning against the wall panting heavily while he stares at his father painting, mister Rowan just smiled and said while getting closer towards Robert, are you happy? That we actually related?

Rowan said in a playful manner while looking at the painting, why... Why didn't you help my father in the hospital... Why didn't you give us help when we needed you the most....

Robert stood up while trembling as he looked at Mister Rowan with anger, Mister Rowan just smiled and waved his hand, it's not my business to help him due to the fact he was adopted by this family however he was just an experiment for my father no our father, the times he was tested by him always go wrong but no mostly got it right but as he continues to experiment with him... Rowan got quiet at the last part as he looked at Robert with a little tearily eye and said with a cold and sad tone in his voice as he continued looking at the painting, he.. almost died due to the experiment that almost failed so I decided to make him leave the house and live on his own as I can't bear to see him suffer from this monsters father we have in the past but if I try to find him my father will soon now that I was the one who let him escape from him and if he got him again I'm sure that this time he'll do much more experiment then this, that's why I didn't help you two I know that if my father your grandpa know about you and your sister he'll do things like before but you two were born with his blood so that means you two have your own superpower through the experiment on your father.

Robert was stunned by his words not knowing his own father's past about his family the struggle he was in when he was young and not knowing how cruel his grandpa was.

He breaths heavily while leaning against the cold stone wall painted in a dark color blue while he's legs tremble in fear knowing both of them aren't even humans as well, Robert turns to look at Rowan or his so-called uncle and asks what's going to happen to them if the two of them lose control or what kind of power they have and what kind of experiment his grandpa do to his father as many more questions he thought about but was stoped by this uncle.

You two will, going to train for a whole 6 years just to survive the apocalypse Robert was stunned hearing that this new and mysterious uncle he met just by running and getting inside someone else's house without Knowing what would happen to them, Robert uncle just smile and Pat's his shoulder if you want to know how I know about the apocalypse I'll just tell you but first I need your age and your sister age, Robert was so shocked about today and just tell him without any thought, I'm 9 and my sister is 7 my uncle was shocked but shook his head and said you two are so young... 

Robert was about to tell him the story of how it all began when he heard someone yelling and shouting he snapped out of his thoughts and looked at his hands and in front of him, his sister playing with Hugo he smiled and continued cooking and focused on cooking their meal for to night and was tired to remember about the past and how they had became so strong in the present
