The hunter and the hunted (2)

As Dennis switched out his glasses. He slowly looked up and could see through the ceiling.

"Well, what do we have here... Five enemies watching their prey... Sad to be honest, but exciting?"

Dennis asked himself. He was feeling amused. He saw five people colored in red, but couldn't identify their full shape.

"Well, that is something we don't get to see every day."

Spike said.

"What do you mean?"

"When Dennis gets motivated like that, it means that they have something that he wants..."

Spike said to Dj. He was nervous at first, but he gave a smile while preparing himself to call out his weapon.

"Well, then... Dennis, what's the plan...?"

Dj asked. He stretched his body in case the fight sets off in the livingroom.

"We heading to the game room. Our guests know already."

Dennis said. He then got up and headed towards the basement while Dj and Spike followed him. As they went down. They noticed it followed them all the way to the game room.

"Um... Dennis this is only a wall."

Spike said.

"Override command X. Unlock game room and give access to all optional features."

Dennis said. The basement was being illuminated with light blue glow as it was taking down the wall. Then a blue virtual panel appeared in front of him asking to confirm it.

"Activate all secondary fail safes protocols once in. No one gets out until the last team stands."

Dennis said. The panel understood it as a confirmation, and it guaranteed access to Dennis, his friends, and his enemies to enter. But Dennis and his friends stood still, and they felt an icy wind passing by them. Showing that their foe already went in.

"Let's go."

Dennis said. He went in, taking the lead, and his friends followed. As they entered, they saw that the room was massive and in the center they saw a giant and four sizes that seemed normal human shape, but it was all blackened and the only thing that they could notice where red glowing eyes from the one standing in the center of the crowd.

"They using black wind to cover themselves, but the light is enough to give away their shape."

Dj said. He then called out his weapon to be ready for an attack.

"Hey Dennis, I think one looks like trouble."

Spike said while pointing out at the red glowing eyes.

"Alright then... Leave it to me."

Dennis said. He then took one step with his right foot and his left eye glowed. Giving out warning and canceling out the enemy's black wind.

As the wind dispersed, they could see clearly who are they messing with. A giant with its lower jaw canine teeth showing out and wearing only with blue jeans for his size, a guy that looks almost like a bear, two that are concealing themselves in dark robes and finally the one that calls for trouble a guy with black hair and his eyes are glowing bright red wearing red armor.

"So you can disperse the magic arts of our kind... Funny how it is, but it won't help now."

The man in red armor said.

"Dj, Spike, are you guys ready for this?"

Dennis asked. He then got into a running start position and waited for the response of his friends.

"Yes!!"

They both said. Dj got into a fighting stance while Spike stood called out his shield. Preparing to block any attack.

"Alright then... On your mark..."

Dj had eyes on the giant. He was certain that he can take him down swiftly.

"Get set..."

Spike was holding his shield steady and was standing in front of Dj. He felt that something was going on and he was ready for it.

"Go!!"

Dennis yelled. As he gave the word. Dennis bolted towards the enemy. Dj and Spike followed behind Dennis and went their own directions to take care of the enemy.

"Splitting up? That's not good enough..."

The man said. He quickly snapped his left fingers, and the giant stood in the way. Blocking the pathway for Dennis. Then the other one, with the aspects of a bear, charged in, taking Dennis directly.

"Dennis, one at a time!!"

Spike said. Dennis heard him and took a step back for a countermeasure that leader Spike taking the front. He then charged on and went for a shield bash that sent the opponent back, but still standing.

"Guess that a one shot ain't an option..."

Spike said. He then went on his guard to wait for the next move.

"Spike, I got a plan. But once I give the word... We can't stop until his down."

Dennis said. He then handed a black ice shard to Spike. It was making a power that was calling out to him.

"What is this?"

"Just something that would change the tide of the fight..."

Dennis said to Spike. He then stood in front of him and called out Obliviona, but they soon vanished into it after being called.

"What in the world is going on..."

"You think you can rely on the power of the maiden weapon? Word has spread to our kind from the other world and we have built something that can nullify your weapon."

The man in the red armor said. Dennis then closed his eyes, and he positioned his hands as if he was holding a sword.

"I guess I will use this early... Honestly, this fight will end kinda quick..."

Dennis said. He then aimed his right hand above him and a sword wrapped in cloth appeared.

"Unleash... Tech-blade..."

As Dennis called out the name of his sword. The cloth that wrapped was disintegrated as particles of energy surrounded it. When it was over. The sword appeared to have a disc in the center and its blade seemed they could split.

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot... Dj, you can go all out!!"

Dennis said. The enemy soon realized that Dj was standing behind them.

"You all focused too much on Dennis to make sure he was not a threat and now that I got confirmation... I don't have to hold back."

Dj said. He preceded by punching the ground. Causing the floor to break in one direction. The enemy soon moved except the giant and it withstands Dj's attack.

"You got to be kidding me!"

Dj said.

"But it gives us a better opening!!"

Dennis said. He then charged in, and Spike followed him for the assault. Dennis then jumped back, landing on to Spike, but he was expecting this moment. Spike then readied his shield and Dennis landed on it.

"Take him down with one hit!"

Spike said. He then launched Dennis up high towards the giant. Dennis then gave the drop to him with one strike that ended up disintegrating the body.

"That one didn't survive one hit from me... Unless..."

Dennis said to himself. He then wondered why the giant went down by one hit and looked towards the remaining targets. Only four remained and there's only three of them.

"So what now?"

Dj asked. He was stretching his body before he can get into an actual fight.

"Leave the leader to me. You two can handle the rest."

Dennis said. He then strolled towards the enemy, while Spike and Dj went off to fight the rest.
