The new beginning

"That creature dodged the lasers from the weapon with very high speed."

"What? How did it dodge so quickly? Could it be because of the suit?"

"I knew I didn't stand a chance against it, so I tried to run further away, but I knew I was only running towards an unknown area because it was blocking the way to the ship. The further away I went, the more I knew my chances of survival were decreasing, because I could feel it was close to me."

-Huh... it seems like I failed.

"It seems there wasn't just one, I ended up being surrounded by multiple creatures from all sides. An exact number? I think there are around 8."

-"Don't be afraid!" the creatures said in a robotic voice, probably from the suit.

-Not be afraid? That might be easier than you think, since I've been through tougher times.

-So... what do you plan to do with me?

-I assume we have the same goal here, to explore whether there are still extraterrestrials. So we'd like to take you on our ship for a contract!

-Well, do I have a choice?

-Of course! Either you come with us to make a peace treaty, or you die here frozen by our weapon.

-Fine... I'll come.

"It seems that the weapon that killed that creature was the one they have ,that's how they managed to freeze that creature. But, my question is why? If I look more closely, these creatures have a collar around their necks, possibly being controlled by them using it."

"Once I got to the ship, I was surprised."

-Well, we are humans, but to you, we are still extraterrestrials because we come from a similar place, just from another universe.

-Another universe? Wait, are you from a different timeline?

-Exactly! That was much easier to explain than we thought.

"It seems they have a device that allows them to move from one universe to another. But why do they do it?"

-Did your planet also suffer an apocalypse?

-We didn't have that misfortune, we travel from one universe to another to see if there is technology more advanced than ours.

-Have you found anyone so far?
