Chapter 83: Way Too Far

Mainland China was a very large country, and it was impossible for Shenlong to cover all the area to protect it's people. He could only protect the people that were within his eyesight.

Other than that, Shenlong summoned some of his clansman, and disperse to all direction in China. Even with this, he still couldn't cover the whole country. Because of this, there are still many giant aliens that managed to land on several area in China.

One of the area that got invaded by the giant aliens is Niujie Village. When the uninvited giants landed on that village, all the villagers were frightened.

"Wha...what are those giant?"

"Shit! There are heading to this place!"

"What do they want?"

One of the giant caught an old lady, and bit her like eating chocolate. The giant then munched the upper body of the lady, and her blood can be seen dripping both on the leftover body, and on the giant's mouth.

"Kyaaa!"

"Aahahh!"

"Aahh! Granny Fua got eaten alive!"

"Run!!"

Instantly, everyone run as fast as they could. Some of them tried to hide inside their wooden house. However, hiding in those house was the worse idea, as the giant only needed to pull up the wooden house, and they easily found those who decided to hide in there. Those people then ended up getting caught, or directly got eaten by those giants.

"Nooo! Father!!"

"Aaahh!!"

At this time, old man Li was caught after the giant found him and Chen Shue hiding in their house. The giant who caught him opened his mouth and about to eat Old Man Li, causing the old man to screen in fear.

Pi! Pi! Pi!

Suddenly, a masked girl appeared and stood on the hand of the giant. She then touched Old Man Li, and teleported away together with the old man towards Chen Shue's side. After that, she touched Chen Shue, and once again teleported away, vanishing from that village.

The girl kept blinking away while bringing Old Man Li, and Chen Shue, until they fully vanished in the distance.

Some time later, the girl appeared in a cave, that was located deep in the jungle. She then stopped teleporting, while she panted heavily.

"Grandpa, mother, we will be safe here for the time being." said Yiren opening her mask. She then leaned on the wall of the cave, tiredly.

"Yiren? It was you?" exclaimed the old man.

"How? How are you suddenly capable of doing that? I mean, we just blinked several times, and we are here? Unbelievable!" said Chen Shue, feeling so shocked that her own daughter suddenly turned into some kind of esper.

"I need to rest. Wake me up after fifteen minutes." said Yiren. She then started to sleep, to ease up her mind.

"Hey, answer me. How did you gain your power?" asked Chen Shue, forcing her daughter to answer.

"Hey! Can you see that she is tired? Give it a rest!" rebuked Old Man Li.

"But I want to know how she get that ability." said the madam stubbornly.

"Kurono taught me how to use that power." answered Yiren. "Now, let me rest."

"What? That foreigner taught you? Why did he not taught it to us? Hey Yiren, tell me how do you learn the power."

"ENOUGH!!" yelled Yiren. With a wave of her hand, she send her mother tumbling out of the cave.

"Argh! My head! It's bleeding!" cried the lady. Just now, her head got scratched by some sharp stone, and got wounded.

"Serve you right. Does it feel hurt?" said the old man, looking down on his daughter. He said sarcastically, "My granddaughter just saved our asses, and you kept pestering her for an answer? You really are a good mother. A very good mother!"

The lady wanted to yell back in reply but saw the old man looking coldly at her. In the end, Chen Shue calmed down and tried to reflect on her behavior.

After more than an hour, Yiren woke up on her own. She suddenly looked at her watch and found out that she rested more than fifteen minutes. She hurriedly stood up and asked her grandfather who was on her side, "Why didn't you wake me up earlier?"

"I saw that you needed more rest. So, I let you have good sleep." replied the old man.

"This is bad. I need to get going."

"Where do you want to go?"

"To save our villagers."

Saying so, Yiren teleported away once again. She repeated the process of rescuing the villagers, bringing them into the cave, and resting, before doing the saving again.

When the day turned dark, those giants flew back to the sky, bringing with them many captives. Yiren looked at the leaving carriages and wanting to teleport into one of the carriage.

Suddenly, Yiren vision turned dark, and she lose her consciousness. The girl then realized that she was too exhausted from repeatedly saving her villagers. As the darkness enveloped the silent village, the girl lay on the ground, and fall into deep slumber.

A few hours passed by, but Yiren was still not woken up. Right then, some flying beasts passed by the village. These flying beasts was a group dragon. There are three dragon in that group. As they looked down at the village, they saw that almost all of the houses in there got totally destroyed.

"Sigh. We are too late. Those giants already destroyed this place." said one of the dragon.

"Let's check if there are any survivors." said another dragon.

"I don't think someone could survive from those giants. Let just call it a day, and report back to Grandpa Long." said the first dragon.

"Wait. I can hear a faint breath over there." said the third dragon. The third dragon then flew towards the place where he thought the breath came from.

"Hey, I found one here!"

The other two dragon moved at that location, and saw Yiren, who was still in deep sleep.

"A female human?"

"Let's bring her back with us."

"Should we check for other survivors?" asked the third.

"... let's do that." nodded the first.

After that, they flew around to search for any survivors, but didn't see any. In the end, the headed back to report to Shenlong, while bringing Yiren together with them.

Far far in the distance space, a giant metallic box was suspended silently in the space. There was a man standing on top of the big box with his body being capsuled by a thin layer of psychic powers. This man is Kurono.

After the prison room got space jumped to this far space, the power source that was used to maintain the ban on psychic powers got cut off. Therefore, Kurono are able to use his power once again.

"Where in the heaven is this place?" said Kurono, looking at the surrounding place. All he could see were some blinking stars in the far distance, and some floating objects in the dark void space.

"This is bad." Kurono frowned when he didn't spot any nearby planet. Even worse, he didn't even know which direction is the Earth. "Is the Earth direction under me, above me, or any direction in the surrounding? This is really confusing. Now, I'm totally lose."

"You are really lose." nodded Lady Fuu on the side.

"Lady Fuu? How did you get here?"

"You should thank your luck. It's fortunate that I tagged along with you on the mothership. Otherwise who know what will happen to you as you got stranded here in this space."

Seeing that the lady was looking at him calmly gave Kurono a strand of hope. He then asked, "Do you know a way for me to go back to Earth?"

"Nope. Although I could move beyond distance, that doesn't mean that I can help you. You know that we System Entities are not allowed to directly meddle in our host affairs." replied Lady Fuu, shaking her head. She then added, "However, I know where the direction is."

"What's the point of knowing the direction if we don't know how to go there." sighed Kurono.

"Well, knowing where to go is better than nothing." said the lady. "Or do you want to give up just like that?"

"... I'm not giving up." said Kurono. He then tried to contact Tensho, but there was no reply. It seems like the distance is way incredibly too far, that there are no wavelength for any kind of contact.

"Damn, I couldn't reach anyone from this distance." said Kurono.

"I guess, you are stuck here for the rest of you life." joked Lady Fuu.

"No. I will find a way to get back to Earth." said Kurono. He turned serious, and think of ways. "Should I try to warp myself towards Earth? Or create a portal towards Earth?"

Kurono then experimented doing the warping by using his teleportation as a base. On his few trials he didn't manage to get any good results. On the next more trials, he still didn't get the desired results.

"Dammit! What did I do wrong?" cursed Kurono in frustration.

"Maybe you don't have enough teleportation ability?" advised Lady Fuu.

"I don't think that is was the case. I have enough mind ability to sustain several hundreds of teleportation... That's it!" said Kurono. He suddenly found a good idea on how to warp himself away.

He then quickly tried his new idea. It was to stack his teleportation onto another teleportation. His theory was to multiply his teleportation capability.

Using the mathematics as a guideline, teleporting several times to reach a distance is equal to a 1 + 1 theory. Then stacking several teleportation in one go to reach a distance is equal to a 1 x 1 theory.

Using the theory, Kurono firstly tried to stack two teleportation together in one go. Instantly, he disappeared away from his spot.

After gaining the abilities from those few hundred pointers aliens, Kurono's mind frame were being strengthened further, and he could wield several times psychic powers compared to the former him.

If before he is able to teleport 35 kilometers away in one jump, and at his best jump, after the mind strengthening, he could jump twenty times the former distance, which mean teleporting for 700 kilometers in one go.

Then, the moment Kurono used a stacked teleportation, he instantly travelled for a distance of 490,000 kilometers away.

"Wha...What? Where am I?" exclaimed Kurono.

He looked at his surrounding, and realized that he was in the mids of a moving asteroids.

"You just warped for a distance of around 500,000 kilometers." replied Lady Fuu, appearing at Kurono's side.

"Wow! That far? I don't even felt any discomfort in my mind." exclaimed Kurono.

"That's because using one stacked teleportation is similar to using one of your normal teleportation. The effect on your mind is calculated as one." explained Lady Fuu.

"Er... let's assume that I understand that." said Kurono, didn't really understand the theory. "Let's try the stacked teleported to go back to my previous direction."

Kurono then used the ability once again. Instantly, he appeared back at the vicinity of the prison room.

"That really worked" said Kurono, smiling at his newfound ability. Lady Fuu once again appeared on his side. Kurono then asked her, "How far is this place from Earth?"

Lady Fuu thought for a moment, and answered, "Hmm... it's approximately twice the distance from Pluto to Sun. That is not included the changes in distance as Earth moved around the sun."

"What? That's waay too far." Kurono almost fainted when he heard the distance.

Lady Fuu then suggested, "I can help you contact Tensho, and see how far he could reach with the Gantz teleportation. In the meantime, you continue warping towards Earth. Maybe at some point, you reached the distance limit of the Gantz teleportation. That way, Tensho could teleport you directly towards Earth."

"Well, that could work too." said Kurono, slowly nodding at the idea. He then asked, "By the way, do you have any compass that can pinpoint the Earth direction?"

"I do have that compass. Why?"

"Can you give me one?"

"...sure. But with one condition."

"What condition?"

"Say that I'm your wife."
