Chapter 34: Scoring

Inside the Gantz Room.

One after another of the survivors appeared in the room. Kurono also appeared inside with a little frown. The appearance of those vampires will only complicate things.

"What happened?" Sakuraoka approached and asked Kurono.

"There are troublesome guys out there."

"Is it another alien?"

"No. It's something else." replied Kurono. He then looked around to check the survivors. In the room, other than Kurono, the survivors are Sakurai, Sakata, Kaze, Kato, Sakuraoka, Kishimoto, Reika, and Nishi.

"Hei Nishi, I didn't see you out there. Where did you go?" asked Kurono.

"Why do you care? You guys have been busy out there. So, I just go incognito." replied Nishi.

'So, he turned invisible all this time.' thought Kurono.

A light radiated, and old man Suzuki appeared. He was sweating like a bullet as soon as he appeared. Just now, that blonde guy almost stabbed him to death. Fortunately, he got the suit, and he was transferred quickly into the room.

"That was close. I thought I'm gonna die for sure." Suzuki breathed a sigh of relief. He then looked at Kurono, and asked, "Kurono, what are those guys?"

"Those guys are vampires. They came to hunt us, Gantz Fighters." replied Kurono.

"Vampires? Do they drink blood?" Kishimoto asked.

"They do." answered Kurono looking at Kishimoto with a serious look. "They especially like to kill and collect blood from female Gantz Fighters."

Kishimoto, Sakuraoka, and Reika shivered when there heard that. Kishimoto was a little pale, when she asked, "Is that true? Then, what are we going to do?"

"Actually, I'm joking." replied Kurono smiling at the girls.

"Kurono!! That's not funny!!"

Sakuraoka and Kishimoto looked angrily at Kurono. Reika on the side pouted.

"Well, it was true that these guys will hunt every Gantz Fighters. However, you guys doesn't need to feel worried. Those vampires haven't seen your face. As long as they don't know that you are from Gantz, then you are safe." explained Kurono.

He then looked at old man Suzuki and Nishi. "I think those vampires know about us three. They have seen you, old man. They also saw me. As for you, Nishi, you wrote about the Gantz in your journal. So, they should already be aware of you. This mean, we three are most likely in their list to be killed. So, let's becareful when we got home."

Nishi's face turned serious, while old man Suzuki nodded in agreement.

'Time to distribute the points.'

"Huh? Points?" asked Sakata, looking at the screen on the black ball. The rest also looked at the screen as soon as the Gantz started the scoring.

Kato explained, "After the hunt, Gantz will distribute Points to us according to amount of aliens that we managed to hunt."

"If you get 100 pts, you will have three option. One - Your memories of Gantz will be erased, and you can live a free life. Second - you can get a powerful weapon. Third - you can revive someone from the memory." answered Kurono.

"I see. We can get to live like usual again. 100 pts huh. Is there anyone who managed to get 100 pts before?"

"From the moment that I got involved with Gantz, there are two people." said Kato. He pointed at Nishi and Kurono, and said, "It's them. Nishi picked freedom after getting 100 pts. Well, he got killed and brought here once more."

Nishi just looked to the side in anger, and silently cursed the dead Izumi.

Nishi smiled when he saw his score. He managed to kill a Kappe Alien, and 6 raptors while hiding himself.

Kishimoto who was feeling happy just now pouted and looked to the side. "Hmph!"

"I...I will also stay." Sakurai also made his choice. There are many things in here that he don't know, and feel insecure. However, he still wanted to be here. There is someone here that could help him become stronger. So, he made the choice.
