20 Chapter 20: New Quest.

Whittaker exclamation pulled Lily out of her wild fantasy in which she has already become a mother of his children. His shout also alerted the nearby classmates.

When she saw the blood, Charlotte wide eyes narrowed to a marginal degree, "Oh, shit, here we go again," she muttered as if something was about to happen.

"B-blood!" As Lily caught sight of the blood dripping out of her nose, her ocean eyes widened in a moment with extreme fear, a flare of sudden overwhelming emotion rose in her heart as the trauma of the past surfaced from the depth of her mind to haunt her.

"Student Lily, is something wrong?" Teacher Ruka asked, her tone tinged with worry.

In response, tears appeared in Lily's eyes, and her vision blurred. Seeing those tears in her eyes, Whittaker did not know why but he felt unsettled. He didn't like it. He didn't want to see her in pain.

Lily's legs got soft and she moved back unsteadily, her feet stumbled on a rock and she slipped!

In Whittaker's heart, an innate desire to wipe away her tears and save her from any harm arose, and he reflexively stepped forward to save her from being hurt.

He grabs her by the slender waist and hauls her closer to his embrace. His heart beats frantically.

Innocent first love sprouted in the air!

As he breathes he take in her smell that is as fresh and intoxicating as a blooming flower.

On the other hand, Lily felt herself against his chest and blushed even harder than before, and her nosebleeds more.

"Are you feeling fine? How can I help you?" Whittaker asked with a worrisome expression while wiping her tears.

She gazed into his icy eyes filled with worry for her and managed to muster up some strength to say, "I am sorry."

Her head slumped down and she fainted.

Whittaker: "."?

"Lily!" "Lily!" He and teacher Ruka shouted simultaneously.

"Don't worry about her, she has an extreme phobia of blood. Her fear of blood is so extreme that she faints every time blood is in her sight. After some rest, she will be fine." Charlotte explained before matters got out of her.

"Oh!" Whittaker's unsettled heart calmed down but he still gazed at the unconscious Lily with eyes filled with worry. Yesterday, he had seen the Academy map and knew where the nurse office was. He thought, 'I should take her there to rest!'

"What are you doing?" Charlotte asked him while blinking her eyes and blushing slightly.

He lifted Lily and placed one arm around her back and the other arm around the bend in her knees. Bridal carrying Lily, he innocently replied to Charlotte.

"Taking her to the nurse office." With that said, the snowy-haired boy hurriedly dashed back to the Academy's main building, and Charlotte followed behind.

Teacher Ruka and the rest were left in the dust. She didn't know whether she should continue the tour or not as she was a new teacher. Though, Ruth, a young noble with a social disability, turned around and walked away. When the teacher asked where he was going, he replied with a single word, "Dorm."

The tour ended as everyone split up and went on their way. Following his motto, 'Work hard every day', Yato went to the mage training ground and started practicing the thirty-two basic hand signs.

The crowd that has gathered due to Lily and Whittaker announcing their spellbooks is also dispersed.

A teenager around 14 with rosy lips and white teeth wearing a breastplate and a warrior style headband with an azure emblem was walking alone to the market to buy some potions.

Due to his wear, anyone could tell that he was the second-in-command of the "Azure Dragontooth guild", a guild famous in the academy for its frantic dungeon hunters.

"Senior brother Long, I have found a frost mage in the academy." He said.

No was around him. He was communicating with the leader of the guild, Ding Long, by using a device called mana comm (communicator).

The Water kingdom is advance in magical technologies and has created a network system called Mana net. Devices such as Mana Comm and Mana watch could be used to connect to this Mana net to communicate and hold an instant trade worldwide. Devices like this usually cost 10 platinum or more.

Lin Dong was communicating with the Guild leader by using a Mana comm.

"Hah Hah!" Ragged breathing and clanking of metal were heard from the other side. A while later, Ding Long replied, "I am in the middle of a dungeon. Wait for me at the quest Hall, I will come after slaying the Minotaur. Until then, notify the others and tell them a meeting will be held in the Quest Hall."

"Urroooooarrrrrrrr!!!!!!"

Lin Dong cut off the mana comm after hearing the monstrous roar. He thought, 'What an unpleasant voice!'

___

In the nurse office.

Dean Frankenstein's hand was placed on Lily's forehead and it was glowing with healing energy. The nurse couldn't attend to her duties today, so he had to take over under her endless pestering.

"Dean, how is she doing?" Whittaker said while gazing at Lily, who laid upon the white sheets of the bed.

He replied with a smile exposing his sparkling white teeth, "Don't worry. She is just sleeping and will wake up in six to eight hours. Don't waste your time here. You should go and train." He leaned in and whispered in his ear, "Or go to the Quest Hall to earn money. Also, there are some dungeon doors there, you can make a lot by completing the first layer."

Saying that he pulled his face away.

"Really?"

Dean Frankenstein winked in agreement.

He stood up but remained still. Money was important and Lily was also important. Money or Lily, which one to choose? He couldn't make up his mind.

Seeing his troubled expression, Charlotte told Whittaker that she will take care of her friend and that it would be better for him to go away before she wakes up. Thanking her, he left the nurse's office after glancing at Lily one more time.

While he was walking in the hallway, a notification popped up,
