2 Tutorial Grinding

[Due to a specific action, a new skill has been created. Skill: Power Strike.]

[Power Strike (Active) Lv. 1 | MP: 10]

Swing an object with all your strength.

30% increase in strength when swinging an object.

[Due to a specific action, a new skill has been created. Skill: Blunt Weapon Mastery.]

[Blunt Weapon Mastery (Passive) Lv. 1]

The skill to use a blunt weapon freely.

10% increase to attack power.

5% increase to attack speed.

"Yes!" I pumped my fists into the air, glad to see the two new screens in front of my eyes after swinging the bat into a tree nonstop.

"Yes, now my MP has restored! All there is to it is repetition!" I grinned, striking the tree again as I ran my MP down to zero yet again.

"If I have to wait 150 minutes for all my MP to come back, then I'll just exercise until then!" I began doing push-ups, sit-ups, and squats, quickly tiring myself out.

[Due to diligent exercising, your Strength has increased by 1!]

That works too, huh?

I found myself shaking my arms and legs for a moment before starting all over again.

Just 75 minutes later, my MP bar was entirely filled.

Of course, based on the information I had earlier, that didn't make any sense. I opened my stats, grinning as I noted by increased Strength, before clicking on my MP bar.

[MP: Regain 2 Mana Points every minute.]

"Yes!" I couldn't stop myself from yelling in utter glee. The change had to have occurred because of the stats I put into Wisdom, and the change was worth it.

Just five points brought my MP recovery to 2, so I assumed that another five would bring it to 3, then 4 and onward.

I shook my head before getting straight back into throwing my Quirk-formed balls at the nearby trees.

[Fling has leveled up!]

For the first time in my life, I trained until I couldn't move, rested for 30 minutes, regained my energy, and trained even more. Night had arrived before I even knew it and I decided it would be smart to get back home before it would be too late.

I got back home perfectly fine, and I went to sleep without a single problem. It was genuinely the best sleep I'd had in my entire life.

Ah yes, this was the sleep of a God.

-----

[Your HP and MP have been refilled, and any status ailments have been entirely erased after 8 hours of peaceful sleep.]

I swiped away the notification before rolling out of bed into some push-ups. I did them until I thought I'd die, then I did squats, then I did jumping jacks, and I rested.

It was still early, but it was a school-day, so I had to plan out what I'd do a tad bit.

I'd be spending eight hours in class, so I'd study while I was there. If my Strength could be raised through exercise, Intelligence being raised through studying didn't sound entirely impossible.

After school I'd go to the library to check out some books, just to make studying easier at home. When I was done with that, I'd run to my spot, hoping to increase my Dexterity while I was running, and then would work on Fling and Power Strike after I reached Kashifu Forest.

School was boring as always, but my Intelligence had increased once like I thought it would, but it was only after a week of studying.

Mom didn't have any problems with me going to the library, and I was very quick to go to the section that was labeled, "All About Heroes."

I was curious if anyone had awakened to a Quirk like mine, so I carefully scanned over the books, taking several of them out to look over them. Nothing had piqued my interest until I picked up a book that prompted a notification.

[Would you like to learn the skill book: "The Ins-And-Outs of the Detective Hero: Kenshutsu's Quirk, Observe"?]

[Yes/No]

My eyes grew wide.

It didn't cross my mind for some reason, but in some games, absorbing skill books was a valid way to gain new skills. I guess my newest Quirk was taking the concept of skill books and applying them like this?

Either way, I clicked yes several times before the notification disappeared.

A dark purple light rose from my hands and swirled around the book before it entirely disappeared.

In an instant, all the information within the book flooded my mind. It should've certainly been too much to understand all at once, but it wasn't. It felt like I'd known the skill my entire life.

I activated the skill without hesitation, seeing that it costed zero MP and didn't have any real distinguishable signs of being activated.

The skill was useful, extremely so. It gave me a basic description of whatever I was looking at, and it even told me if certain books were skill books or not. I used it on people, and it gave me their full name, stats, and a basic description of the person.

Upon looking at a newer hero―Kamui Woods, to be more specific―the skill failed. I think it failed because I couldn't see their level.

Still, a skill like this one was insane. It would give me information about people that you'd otherwise never be able to find. I instantly understood why Kenshutsu was an extremely well-known private investigator around the world.

A thought whizzed by my mind as I gripped onto another book.

Didn't I just copy Kenshutsu's Quirk?

I didn't know if my ability could do anything else like that, like copy All Might or Endeavour's Quirk, but if it could, wouldn't I be on my way to an easy place at the top?

I quickly scoured the shelves for any books about All Might or Endeavour but didn't find any. It only took a second of thinking to note that All Might was always very evasive when people had asked about his Quirk, and Endeavour wasn't one for interviews anyways. Upon realizing that, I let out a dejected sigh.

It made sense too. Most heroes didn't give out any information about their Quirks because it could often put them in a poor situation in the grand scheme of things. Kenshutsu did it because―at least to the extents of my knowledge―it didn't put him at any sort of disadvantages.

It wouldn't be that simple anyways, even if I did find the books. In some games, in order to keep some balance, there'd be prerequisites on skills too, so that you couldn't get them at too low of a level or with too low of stats. Some were balanced with class restrictions or race restrictions too.

Shaking the thoughts away, I looked to my left then to my right.

I know this isn't very hero-like but….

I stuffed several books into my inventory.

I'd certainly repay the library in the future… probably.

[Due to one continuous action, you have received a new skill. Skill: Steal.]
