The next day at the academy, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation. Horyu's match against Sasuke was the highlight, and students gathered early to secure the best viewing spots. Horyu arrived, his expression calm but focused, aware of the challenge ahead.
As he warmed up, Horyu ran through his strategy. 'Sasuke is strong and fast, but he's also arrogant. He'll underestimate me, and that's where I'll strike.' He flexed his fingers, feeling the enhanced strength from the potion coursing through them.
The crowd hushed as Sasuke made his entrance, his confidence bordering on arrogance. He glanced at Horyu, a sneer briefly crossing his face. "Ready to lose, talentless?"
Horyu's eyes narrowed, but he didn't respond. Instead, he focused on the upcoming battle, knowing that actions would speak louder than words.
As Iruka signaled the start of the match, Horyu and Sasuke faced off.
Horyu stood against Sasuke in the arena, a cold gleam in his onyx eyes as Iruka gave the signal. The crowd buzzed with anticipation, sensing the electricity between the two Uchiha. Horyu's mind was clear, his training and the enhancements from his Gamer System setting a firm foundation for this moment.
Sasuke sneered , "I'll show you what a real Uchiha is capable of!"
The match began with a burst of speed. Horyu, leveraging his Lightning Reflex and Unpredictable Assault skills, darted forward, throwing a series of calculated feints. Sasuke, quick and agile, parried each blow, his eyes tracking Horyu's movements.
"You're faster than I thought," Sasuke admitted begrudgingly, dodging a swift kick.
Horyu smirked, "You haven't seen anything yet."
Their dance of fists and feet intensified, Horyu weaving in and out of Sasuke's defenses, each strike more unpredictable than the last. Sasuke responded in kind, his own Taijutsu refined and deadly.
Unlike Horyu, Sasuke had mastered Uchiha Intercepting Taijutsu, a fighting style notorious for its swift counterattacks and precision. Sasuke's stance shifted, becoming more grounded, ready to exploit any opening Horyu might offer.
Horyu, aware of this new challenge, tightened his focus. "Let's see how you handle this," he thought, launching a series of high-speed jabs.
Sasuke deflected them with ease, his eyes narrowed in concentration. "Is that all you've got?" he taunted, countering with a series of fluid, powerful strikes.
Horyu dodged, feeling the rush of air as Sasuke's fist whooshed past his face. "Close, but not close enough," Horyu retorted, countering with a swift roundhouse kick. Sasuke ducked under it, sweeping Horyu's legs, but Horyu leaped up, avoiding the move.
The two circled each other, a dance of potential violence. Sasuke was the picture of Uchiha grace, while Horyu was the embodiment of calculated fury. They were a clash of styles and wills, each looking for a weakness to exploit.
Horyu lunged, feinting a punch but switching to a low kick. Sasuke, anticipating this, jumped but Horyu was ready. He twisted mid-air, aiming a kick at Sasuke's midsection. Sasuke managed to block it, but the force pushed him back.
"You're not the only one who can adapt, Sasuke," Horyu said, a smirk playing on his lips.
Sasuke, his pride stung, charged with renewed vigor. He unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks, each one more aggressive than the last. Horyu, using his enhanced reflexes, parried and dodged, but he could feel the strain. Sasuke was pushing him to his limits.
In a sudden move, Sasuke feigned a high kick, then dropped low, sweeping Horyu's feet. Horyu stumbled but managed to roll away, narrowly avoiding a follow-up strike.
Getting back to his feet, Horyu wiped a bead of sweat from his brow. "Not bad," he conceded, "But watch this."
Horyu, with a glint of determination in his eyes, scanned Sasuke for an opening. He utilized his 'Precision Master' and 'Unpredictable Assault' skills to their fullest, throwing off Sasuke's rhythm.
"You might be strong, Sasuke, but I've got a few tricks up my sleeve," Horyu declared, his voice steady.
Sasuke, unfazed, retorted, "Talk is cheap. Show me what you've got!"
Horyu launched into a rapid sequence of movements, his 'Lightning Reflexes' allowing him to dart in and out of Sasuke's range with ease. He feigned an attack to Sasuke's left, only to swiftly change direction, aiming a kick towards Sasuke's right side. Sasuke, barely managing to block in time, was pushed back by the sheer force.
"Not bad, Horyu. But you'll need more than that!" Sasuke said, regaining his balance.
The two resumed their intense battle, their movements a blur to the onlookers. Horyu's 'Shadow Walker' skills shone as he expertly maneuvered around Sasuke's attacks, looking for an opening to land a decisive blow.
Sasuke, growing more aggressive, launched a series of powerful strikes. Horyu, using 'Swift Evasion', nimbly dodged each one, his movements fluid and graceful.
"I can see through your moves, Sasuke," Horyu taunted, his eyes focused and calculating.
Sasuke, frustrated, unleashed a barrage of fists, hoping to catch Horyu off-guard. But Horyu, with his enhanced 'Lightning Reflex' skill, deftly evaded them.
The crowd gasped at the display of skill. It was clear that Horyu was no ordinary opponent.
"Time to end this," Horyu muttered, concentrating his chakra. He activated his 'Crushing Blow', targeting Sasuke's vital points.
Sasuke intercepted with Uchiha Intercepting Style. Having seen Horyu use this technique against Shino, Sasuke had simulated the battle in his mind countless times. He knew that despite its strength, the technique had a slight delay, a vulnerability he was ready to exploit.
As Horyu lunged forward with his Crushing Blow, Sasuke shifted his stance, redirecting the attack with a fluid movement honed by hours of practice. "Predictable, Horyu," Sasuke taunted, a smirk playing on his lips.
Horyu grunted, frustration flickering in his eyes. He knew he had to switch tactics. "Let's see how you handle this," he muttered, engaging his 'Shadow Walker' ability to blur with the shadows of the arena, making his movements less visible.
Sasuke's eyes narrowed as he scanned the arena, trying to track Horyu's movements. "Hiding now, are we?" he called out, his voice echoing in the silent arena.
Horyu followed the shadows, his form was blurred, launching a swift, silent attack. Sasuke barely managed to block it, the force of the blow sending a jolt through his arms.
The crowd watched in awe as the two combatants exchanged blows, their speed and agility a testament to their Uchiha lineage. Horyu's strikes, enhanced by his 'Precision Master' skill, were sharp and calculated, while Sasuke's movements were fluid and intuitive.
As the battle progressed, Horyu began to feel the strain of Sasuke's relentless assault. Despite his enhanced skills, Sasuke's natural talent and training were formidable.
"Is that all you've got?" Sasuke taunted, sensing Horyu's fatigue.
Horyu gritted his teeth. "Not even close," he replied, channeling his chakra into his fists.
The air crackled with energy as Horyu unleashed a barrage of chakra-infused punches. Sasuke, surprised by the sudden increase in power, was forced on the defensive.
Horyu, seizing the opportunity, used his 'Deceptive Retreat' technique, feigning a withdrawal. Sasuke, thinking he had gained the upper hand, pursued aggressively.
In a swift motion, Horyu turned, catching Sasuke off guard with a 'Crushing Blow' to his chest. Sasuke gasped, the wind knocked out of him, but he quickly regained his composure, countering with a powerful kick.
Sasuke, now more cautious, circled Horyu, looking for an opening. Horyu mirrored his movements, his mind racing, calculating his next move.
Most girls were cheering for Sasuke as usual, but Hinata noticed a change in the crowd. There were now some cheering for Horyu. The 'Talentless Uchiha' of before was impressively holding his own against Sasuke. His newfound prowess, coupled with his looks, had quickly amassed a fan base. Hinata couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. 'I was with him while you all scoffed at him,' she thought, snorting inwardly. The battle continued, drawing everyone's rapt attention.
Sasuke, his face set in a determined scowl, launched a series of complex hand-to-hand combat moves. Horyu, undaunted, matched him blow for blow. The two were a whirlwind of movement, each striving to gain the upper hand.
Sasuke, realizing the challenge at hand, pushed his abilities to their limits. His movements were fluid and powerful, a display of the innate talent and training of an Uchiha.
Horyu, sensing an opening, lunged forward with a powerful strike aimed at Sasuke's chest. Sasuke, reacting just in time, parried the blow, countering with a swift kick. Horyu dodged, rolling away and quickly regaining his footing.
