4 Chapter 4 - Game to Live

Kyle was extremely undecided about what to do. It was a certain happy life and a sweet release of death in 100 years back on Earth. Or it could be an exciting and potentially dangerous life in this new world. Both of these choices were tempting to choose.

"I have just received a message from one of the higher-ranking agents," Catter seemed to be in a very bad mood because of something, "I told you the biggest secret no-one knows about in any of the worlds below the 4th level, and you just didn't believe me." Catter didn't look straight at Kyle.

"You will be given the ultimate gift, a special thing that usually is never given out. You will be given the ultimate trait that everyone would wish for and would pray to get. It is the ultimate thing that will save your life as well as let you achieve unimaginable heights since the second you arrive in the world." Catter spoke like he was describing a fairy tale.

"So what is your decision? Will you stay in the "Game" of the God "To Live" or will you go back to your boring earth world?" Catter now wanted more than ever that he chooses to stay here. She probably thought that she could get something if he stayed.

Kely was going to decline at first, but the idea of being inside of the world such as that was the ultimate dream. He always played games hoping for this to happen one day. This was a real deal. He would probably regret it for the rest of his life if he declined here.

What excited Kyle even more, that all of this seemed just like the games that he has been playing and the novels that he always read. He was now shaking. He was ecstatic.

"Okay, I will stay here," Kyle said with joy in his eyes.

"Brilliant!" The Catter flew up and did 2 or 3 circles before addressing back Kyle, "Now I will be transferring you to the part of the world where humans are. You will start there. Your gifts will be with you once you arrive there, please don't bable about what has happened here. You, as you know, are chosen. Don't throw away your life too easily."

As that was said, the world changed, and a huge black door with black chains from some metal appeared out of nowhere.

[ You are about to be transferred from Earth world to the world Game of God to Live, do you accept? ]

[ Yes / No ]

'Yes.' Kyle pressed with no hesitation, and the door started to open. There was nothing outside of it, just an abyss of nothingness. After looking back to the clouds, Kyle stepped inside.

Kyle was expecting to start dropping to his death after he stepped through, but instead, he magically appeared in some random forest. Different smells attacked his scent, and the freshest of airs caught him off guard. His head started spinning, and he nearly blanked out from all of the oxygen.

'Damn, I just arrived and nearly got killed by fresh air. What type of joke would that be.' Kyle laughed to himself, 'They kept on telling me that I am the scouted one, but I have no idea what it entails or what it means.'

Before Kyle had any time to think to himself, a sudden cracking noise could be heard, and a small bunny hoped on to the patch of grass that was around 10 metres away from Kyle.

The bunny saw Kyle and didn't escape like he anticipated that it would. Instead, it seemed very happy and started hopping towards Kyle.

This turn of the event completely caught Kyle off guard. He didn't know what bunny wanted with him. It didn't know what humans were and wanted to check? Did it get interested in some of the plants next to Kyle? Or was it coming to eat him? Doesn't matter how weird it sounded, but knowing Kyle's luck, it was the latter.

The bunny started hoping faster and faster with a stronger force and was about to pounce at Kyle. Kyle got ready to take this beast on. He already knew that this world was very similar in description to one of those MMORPGs he played, and low-level areas always contained ridiculously cute monsters that could even kill him.

The bunny was much faster than Kyle anticipated, and it flew straight for his leg, ripping the jeans that he had on and scratching it. This was extremely painful, which made Kyle aware more than ever that he had to take this seriously.

The scratch was bleeding, which made the rabbit even happier. Kyle went into the position he saw in the movies when karate and other martial artists fought, waiting for another pounce from the bunny. He didn't want to hurt or kill it, but he had no choice now that it attacked him. Also, he knew that there gotta be some experience type thing to increase levels. The only choice was to hunt to level up.

The rabbit pounced once again, now further up, at his stomach. This allowed for a more comfortable position, and Kyle punched the rabbit straight at its face.

The feeling when the fist collided with the animal, was something very hard to describe. It was as if his hand was brushing through iron. It was so painful that Kyle screamed. The rabbit also flew back after the punch, but the bloodied fist of Kyle enticed it too much to stop.

Kyle looked around for something that would let him to battle with this savage creature of hell without hurting himself anymore. He couldn't find anything except a big and thick branch just lying nearby. Just before bunny started attacking, he slid to grab it, not to lose sight of the enemy.

When he was about to grab the branch, it started moving. 'You gotta be f$%#&^# joking me!" This thing that he considered a branch becomes a snake. 'For the god sake, I am going to die!'

'Let's run. I can't do anything here!' He dodged both the bunny and the snake pounces and ran straight to the open area he saw through the trees. The terrain was hard for him but very easy for the bunny, and he understood that open terrain doesn't benefit him either. 'I am not as pathetic as that. I have to use my superior brain against this idiotic bunny to win here.' He saw that there was another brunch that was all crocked and was not that thick. 'This can't be another snake, no way.'

Kyle grabbed the branch, and as soon as he picked it up and turned, bunny already leapt at him. His only option was to retaliate back. He lifted the branch and slashed down as hard as he could in the direction of his enemy, he was sure that the branch would break after such impact, but it was his only option. 'My superior brain only thought of this. Eh.'

The impact was fierce, and as he predicted, the branch cracked and broke, but what he didn't expect is got the bunny to stop mid-leap and drop to the ground.

Kyle, exhausted from everything that happened after he opened that box, dropped to the ground panting.

'What have I done? Was it the right choice? Bunny nearly killed me. That would have never happened on earth. ' Kyle didn't know what to do. Everything wanted to kill him, and it seemed that he was the weakest thing in this forest.

Suddenly at the spot where the bunny's body was lying, an interface with a huge red exclamation sign appeared.

[Do you want to absorb?]

He had no idea what it meant, but he was guessing that it was exactly what he was going for.

'Yes! Absorb!'
