Game to Live

The start. At the start of the year 2020, a new online community came into existence. No one ever explained what it was, and neither understood what it was about. There was a huge mystery as it seemed people inside were from other worlds. The common theme was them talking about a particular world that combined all the magical stories as well as all of the eastern novels together into the world where it all existed together. The world was named "Game to Live". On January 15th 2020, Kyle saw it in an online community of his favourite MMORPG. An elf character, level 62, mentioned that "I have decided to accept an invite to 'Game to Live' I hope that there I can grind to my heart's content." After reading the thread further, he didn't find anyone else mentioning it. After he refreshed the page, the comment was gone and that persons account got banned. What's more that it seemed anything that person posted ever online was evaporated from the server. Join Kyle in exploring the new world that is full of opportunities. See how Kyle uses the system as well as old and ancient cultivation techniques to stand above everyone. Not a Harem.

Chapter 32 - Hunt

As Kyle absorbed the last drop of energy and elements affinity a new notification resounded.

[ Congratulations on reaching peak Qi refinement, breakthrough to achieve Foundation Establishment ]

[ Congratulations on reaching the peak of Level 1, break the bottleneck to reach Level 2 ]

[ Earths element affinity has deepened ]

Those 3 notifications have resounded. Kyle knew all of this thought the manual that the system has provided as well as though the dominion technique.

'Hah, so it was an earth's element that the toad was proficient at, no wonder its blood was venomous.' Kyle looked at disappearing body, 'I have not seen anywhere a mention that I can absorb elements with the system, it always said to use the beast cores. The elements insights that I absorbed this time were much purer than those I got from the level 3 spider and ogre so it must be more efficient.

With that being said, Kyle did see a beast core drop from the frog, although it already had no element's energy inside, it was fully empty due to Kyle's absorption. The toad also dropped some ring that didn't seem to really do anything at the moment. Kyle would have to appraise it to understand what it did. There were lot's of items that didn't have some easy to see benefit, so travelling to a city should be a thing that Kyle needed to do soon. He already acquired a lot of items that he had to appraise and sell.

Kyle's leg was still hurting, so he decided to rest at the same island at the pond where the toad was stationed. After around 5 hours, his leg was fully healed, and Kyle moved back to the camp.

After 3 more days of exploring, Kyle met another level 2 beast that he thought he could take on. Kyle tried to mostly avoid level 2 due to his experience with the toad. He didn't want to unnecessary risk while he was at 99%. 'I would rather slowly get the last energy that is required to level up,' Kyle wasn't going to die stupidly.

The level 2 beast that was in front of him was a hedgehog that was 1 metre in height, its spikes were protecting everything, but it's bottom, which made it ultimately unkillable.

The reason why Kyle thought that he could take it one was because of the Wave of Conviction. Kyle didn't meet a single type of material except for the book that could withstand the piercing of the Wave of Conviction. The range was definitely a problem, but if he lands a hit on the slow moving hedgehog, he has a chance of killing it straight away.

Kyle started following the hedgehog from above, going from tree to the tree after one point the hedgehog started to dig a whole. He was throwing earth everywhere and has already submerged half of its body into the earth. This was an amazing opportunity. Kyle was able to come very close and aim directly at where he wanted. Also, after the constant practice of Wave of Conviction every time he fought, Kyle was able to increase his accuracy drastically.

That is exactly what he did. Kyle silently dropped to the ground and ran to the hedgehog from the back. Just when Kyle released a Wave of Conviction that would directly kill the hedgehog, suddenly the huge part of the spikes on the beasts back popped out from the body and flew straight at Kyle.

This was too sudden for Kyle to get ready, 'Dam second level beats, you can't just fight them like normal beasts, can you?' Kyle circulated a think layer of qi onto his body. He learnt how to do that after the qi showed him it's regenerative power. Even though this wasted a lot of the qi, Kyle was willing to protect his body in trade for the qi he could recharge. He couldn't recharge his little life, but qi he could.

The spikes flew in Kyle's direction with some flying straight past Kyle while the most struck first at the qi protection layer. Some of the spikes simply bounced off the qi. While the other 20% pierced the qi and struck Kyle's body. Some small portion even went deep into the body.

Kyle protected his heart area with his left hand, and now it was full of spikes that had pierced into the hand. It was painful, and Kyle hated pain. 'I swear I will annihilate every living being in this forest!' Kyle was super angry that the easy kill became so damaging to him. The Wave of Conviction travelled into the hedgehog body and directly pierced from the back to the head, killing the hedgehog instantly.

'It was so reliant on its sharp spikes and protective carapace it didn't bother to check it's surrounding,' Kyle looked at his body and grinned, 'I guess it had its reasons. This would have killed most type of beats straight away.' Kyle started plucking out the spikes and after a while came up to the body. As long as he absorbs the energy from the hedgehog, he would be able to level up and reach Foundation Establishment Realm.

Kyle didn't like the idea of cultivating in the middle of nowhere. The best result would be achieved if he could focus on the process solely. That is why he collected the body into the storage compartment to absorb at the camp. Now Kyle was ready to get to the next level.

He ran to the camp and saw something incredible. After he exited the forest, right above the green grassland a huge rock that nearly covered all of the sky, was travelling slowly somewhere. Around the rock was a blue light that was holding small pieces that looked like islands next to it, also floating in the air.

Kyle could barely see anything and only saw the grey-brown rock that was the bottom of the island, but he could also see that some beings were travelling to the rock and from it on the flying beasts and special items. One particular man that flew from the rock and close to Kyle's direction was standing on top of the sword that let him fly freely.

This was a sight to behold. Kyle never saw anything like this in his life. The skyscrapers that he saw back on earth paled in comparison to this grand manmade miracle. Kyle kept on gazing at the rock for more than an hour until he could no longer see it with his own eyes.

"Wow!" Exclaimed Kyle, 'That was one of the most amazing sights that I ever saw.'

This flying rock thingy seems very majestic, doesn't it?
