Clari's eyes and cheeks blushed. It felt like a sweet tingle, and a beautiful sensation. It was something she knew, but doesn't know the name of.
As the two's lips touched, Clari was flabbergasted and Arthur, fell for her again. 'Shit, her lips are way too good.'. Arthur was just praying, what he did was successful and she doesn't kill him another way.
But because he didn't want to kiss her multiple times just to get used to it, Arthur just did something that a person in that situation would normally do.
And would you look at it, soulmates?
The two instantly turned around and sneaked to the floor with their eyes closed and touching their lips.
"I'm so sorry!". Arthur removed his entire facade and act just to sound more convincing.
"Why would you do that!"
"I'm sorry!"
"Can we do it again!" The words that just came out of Clari's mouth just made Arthur so excited he could just ignore that little thing existed, that he had to immediately remove it.
"What!"
"But it felt uhhh! Too! Umm!"
"What is wrong with you!"
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!"
Awkward silence then filled the room. The two were slouched at the ground and staring at the ground.
From a fight to turn into a kiss, well it was truly an interesting but awkward situation.
But the readers can't really focus, because Arthur still had the dagger pierced through his chest.
Arthur had no actual organs, so in reality he had no vital areas, making his entire body just one big flesh with no heart or brain to one hit kill him from.
Arthur finally removed the dagger and made his heart cringe much more than it can already take.
Arthur went behind Clari, and Clari could of course feel him move.
Arthur stretched his arms and hugged Clari from behind. But thankfully, Arthur was spared from his embarrassment to die, as Clari...
"You can kill me now...". It wasn't her yelling at him. It wasn't her attacking him. It was her thinking he was about to kill her.
Arthur just stood there. Thankfully that line woke him up. If he tries to analyze the torture this woman has probably gone to. Her mind is definitely undeveloped, but that should not be something to lower his guard on.
Clari, please keep in mind. Has had the same curse ever since she was a baby. To not be able to learn most things. To even passing the "test" at the easiest expense. To having no friends and family. To having been chased her entire life, to being isolated once again.
Life is not simple. And beauty isn't a gift. Clari had nothing, Clari knew nothing...
Now instead of his original goal Arthur sat down beside her. It now didn't even feel like a life and death situation. She may have killed him multiple times, but because of his entire goal rendering the entire thought non existent. Arthur felt nothing but the need of empathy.
'Ahh fuck.'. But that didn't fix the awkward silence at all. 'What in the fuck is this series about? Action or some character emotion bullshit.'
'Ahhhhh... this is way too much, fuck!'.
The entire environment was filled with silence. With Clari's head submerged in her legs.
The silence kept going till the sets. The sun was behind the two, and Arthur stared at the color of the sky, fading away to darkness.
It was a moon "rise" without a sun.
"Are you sure your neck is fine..." Said Arthur... at the calmest of his voice.
"..."
"You can talk... I think we can finally talk..."
"...". Arthur looked at Clari, and she was still not moving.
"You know... I was once like you, I didn't know how to talk to others. To the point where I cried cause I was alone..."
"..."
"But I guess that was normal, I was still young and yearned for a wonderful time."
"..."
"And now I'm old, I know I have more time to live, but I didn't want it to be like how the rest of my life has been."
"..."
"When I found a chance to change, all I could think of was to try my best to grab that chance."
"..."
"But, it didn't go as how you would think."
"..."
"My life was not a fictional story, it... was reality... so like how reality was, I failed."
"..."
"I was left alone again, or I guess I still just stayed alone."
"..."
"Then another chance came, and this time I wanted to really take it."
"..."
"And... I didn't get it, but I still didn't fail yet. So I was happy."
"..."
"I got a friend, well more of a person I could talk to when we see each other walking I guess."
"..."
"I thought I would finally get that friendship I wanted, but I guess I took too long and to his life I became insignificant."
"..."
"So in the end I failed."
"..."
"I failed 3 times right? Funny. But you know what's funnier?"
"..."
"It was that at the 3rd failure, I really didn't fail. I just thought I did, because I lost hope."
"..."
"You're probably getting bored already, I should stop speaking none-"
"No! Contin..ue..."
Arthur smiled and he did, even though Clari was still slouched, it has been long since he opened up, he needed this as much as Clari did. She talked, and that was all that mattered. That was all he needed to know... that someone was listening.
"But I realized I shouldn't lose hope."
"..."
"After that we became friends, of course we were closer than any of his friends I knew that, but, he spent more time with them, that I also knew."
"..."
"But it was obvious we still bonded more so even if that was in my mind, I didn't care. I liked it, I had a friend after my lonely times."
"..."
"Then, like how I said reality was, he was just truly much better than me."
"..."
"He got a girl, then I was left alone again."
"..."
"He didn't even talk to me for a long time after that, because the girl was all he paid attention too."
"..."
"Well, I can't do anything about that. I have no one to blame... other than myself."
"..."
"Then he broke up with that person, and finally we talked more again."
"..."
"And again, he got another one, and this time they could talk much more."
"..."
"For context, we were classmates, it was my student days. Sorry for my bad story telling, hehehe."
"..."
"So for the rest of that year, I was left alone, every time, I was just at the corner sitting there waiting to go home."
"..."
"Oh I can't just be the one telling stories here, how about you?"
"I... have... none..."
"Even school stories?"
"I... had none..."
"Had none what? You had no school?"
"Yes..."
"What! How could you not have a school!"
"Everyone liked me so much that it was creeping me out... so then I killed them..."
"Oh... well they deserve it! You were still a child!" That unexpected sentence of agreeing to Clari, turned into a wonderful reply.
Clari lifted her head up and raised her voice yelling, "I know right!".
"Yes...". Arthur was caught off guard and lost focus for a moment.
"Everyone was calling me a murderer! I was the only person who entered the school even if I was a commoner!"
"What...?". Clari, ignored Arthur.
"But then they dared to glue their eyes at me! I hated that so much! Then when all I could do was kill the teachers..." Slowly... "and others they got mad-" her voice got lower. "-at me and threw me out..."
"..." Arthur didn't feel like it was right for him to talk.
"Then I was left in the streets. I had no parents, I had no home, I had nothing. But thankfully I had my face to help me get food."
"..."
"But everyone chased me looking to capture me, not because someone ordered them to, but because they wanted me."
"..."
"My face caused me so much trouble that it even turned the kingdom upside down. My face was a curse."
"..."
"Sorry, that got dark..."
"No, it was ok."
"That felt so weird.". Clari has completely changed her tone from a serious and sad one to a chill and relaxing tone. It felt like a rock was just removed from her throats and now she could actually talk.
"This entire situation has been weird from the start." Arthur looked at Clari's eyes. And with a couple seconds of silence. They both laughed.
"Hahahaha!"
"Why are we even talking about some bullshit here!" Said by Arthur.
"Why am I talking to my "killer"."
"What killer hahaha!"
"Did you not go here to kill me?"
"Well I did hahahaha."
The two laughed non stop and the two just talked about some information that no one could ever imagine to be said so carelessly.
After the two were done, they laid back and stretched their heads back as much as they could and looked at the real sunset.
"What a beautiful sunset." Said by Arthur.
"I watched it everyday and it was beautiful."
"Really? When I first saw you, I didn't think you would be like this."
"Well, me neither."
"This is your first time talking to someone normally is it not."
"Well, it's not normal to me."
"Hahaha, are we just going to stare at the sun like this?"
"Well what do you want?"
"I guess, I mean i guess like what you said earlier, everything ends so suddenly and stupidly."
