Tower of Joy

By the time Jon and Slyvia were done killing the 11 people, the other remaining 11 men also arrived at the desk attracted by the sound and screams of the fight.

Jon looked impassively at those 11 men. Being stared by Jon and the dead bodies lying on the deck made them frightened. They gulped nervously and took 2 steps back in fear.

Jon said, his eyes as cold as steel, "Look, I have no enmity with any of you. If you want to live, keep the end of your bargain and don't mess with me."

One among them, who was probably their leader nodded fearfully, "We will do as you tell. Don't kill us."

Jon sighed, a smile hung on his face, "Good. You are much more understanding than these idiots."

Jon then looked at Slyvia who busy in searching the dead bodies of the dead men.

Though the remaining of the crew felt not too good about Slyvia taking the coins of their co-workers as they thought that they should have the claim over it, but none dared to raise any objections.

In less than few minutes, Slyvia was done with her search and held quiet a few gold dragons which she had tied in a cloth piece.

She then also threw away her sword which was one of the robbers and picked up the captain's sword as it was of better quality.

With this Jon and Slyvia returned to their room. Throughout the remaining journey, Jon was extremely cautious.

He would regularly check upon the people operating the ship, and most importantly would check whether they were taking the correct path which led to Sunspear or planning something else.

Fortunately, these men had no such intention of revenge and everything went well and smoothly and without any obstruction.

11 days later Jon and Slyvia deboarded the ship to land at Sunspear.

Jon had discarded his heavy fur cloak and wore only the inner lighter fabric. For the first time in his life Jon truly felt the summer.

Slyvia was still in her tattered clothes. They then found a small clothes shop and got Slyvia few simple dresses which not only suited the warmer weather of Dorne but would also be not a hindrance in her fighting. Dresses which made ladies look beautiful and were comfortable at fighting would not be found better, anywhere than Dorne.

The duo did not waste much time and quickly found a merchant who was selling horses.

Jon bought 2 horses for 7 gold dragons and a carriage for 2 gold dragons. He felt that travelling inside a carriage was quite comfortable.

He spent another few coins and bought provisions for a month. While travelling from Winterfell to White Harbor, Jon did not have to worry about the food as he had to mostly travel through the forest. Meat from hunting and water from smaller streams was easily available.

But during this Journey, Jon would mostly be travelling in deserts of the Dorne.

He attached the carriage with the horses. And began his journey towards the Tower of Joy in the red mountains of the Prince's Pass.

Emerald as usual either flew of remained perched on the carriage. Being a snow eagle used to cold snow, she was not finding the deserts very comfortable but would manage with it for a smaller time.

Jon entered the mind of the two horses and took control over them. A small nudge of thought from Jon's mind and horse began their walk towards his destination.

The path to the Tower of Joy was infested with bandits and robbers and using the small landforms in the deserts they hid themselves very well.

Since the desert was mostly barren a devoid of lifeforms, the bandits could locate any caravan from a long distance and then would ambush them.

To evade this kind of situation, Jon took control over few birds and left them with a small instruction to search for hidden bandits in the vicinity of wherever the carriage went to.

During the stretch of his entire journey, Jon kept wondering what could be the gift his father, Rhaegar Targaryen, might have left for him? There was no such information in the originals and Jon could only keep wondering.

One thing which he had in mind and hoped that it come out to be true was dragon eggs. Though there were 3 dragon eggs waiting for him in Essos, Jon would definitely not mind few additional dragons.

Jon could only chuckle at his wild imaginations.

Following this method Jon was able to evade most of the bandits and after 15 days of long journey reached the Tower of Joy.

The castle was in ruined condition with weed and vines growing in the fissures of the walls of the castle.

"Why are we here?" Slyvia questioned with a confused face.

"Have patience," replied Jon.

He had no idea where to search for the treasures his father had collected for him.

He went inside the castle which was mostly empty. At the first floor was a small wooden bed which was infested with maggots and termites. This was the same bed on which Lyanna Stark had Given birth to him.

Though Jon was not the original Jon and had memory of another lifetime, he still felt a tear forming in his eyes thinking about his mother.

Searching in the castle for few minutes, Jon was not able to find anything.

Slyvia looked at him with a frowning expression but did not say anything. Initially she had thought that Jon was just fooling around talking about world conquest but over the past month she started to believe that he was probably serious.

Jon walked out of the castle and wondered how to find about the treasure. Thinking that the same entity who had him transmigrated here and informed about the treasure, should help him, Jon closed his eyes.

For few moments Jon felt nothing but then suddenly his heart thumped and he felt a kind of connection forming to his blood.

Jon followed his intuition and walked in the direction behind the castle.

He continued to walk about for around 200 metres when Jon reached a small grove of trees. There were around 2 dozen tree in the grove but what surprised the Jon most was the tree which was present in the centre of the grove. A Wierwood tree.
