Durrandon swaggered into the small council room and sat at the foot of the table. He ignored everyone staring as he poured himself water. "Go on, don't stop on my account" he said a bit amused

Jon Arryn raised a brow "You're late"

"I was busy" Durrandon didn't feel the need to elaborate. He had been coming to the small council meetings ever since he's been appointed as Commander 3 months ago.

Jon didn't question further he knew The Prince was quite responsible. It was a wonder he managed to attend any council meetings with his schedule he thought. "We were waiting for you to get here to discuss the state of the City Watch"

"I've raised the force to 12,000 men and rooted all corruption with the help of Varys little birds" Durrandon replied as he took a sip of water

"Doubling the men isn't going to do much if they aren't trained well" Petyr Baelish quipped

He looked at Baelish with disdain "They were trained and disciplined by myself and my second-in-command, The Hound" he had recruited The Hound a week after his appointment simply for the fact that he was a hard ass and that he would follow orders to the T as long as he was paid. He also quite like Clegane's crass nature, it was refreshing talking to someone who wasn't afraid of speaking their mind. "Unless of course, you think that I'm incapable?"

"I..jjust think..hee meant..yyoure a bit young" Pycelle stuttered in from the side. In all honesty Don knew that Pycelle put on the old man act to be underestimated, but that didn't stop him being annoyed.

"Ser Barristan, tell me who is the best swordsman in The Seven Kingdoms" he asked the knight standing vigil behind him

"You are, Your Grace" Ser Barristan replied without hesitation. He has seen many great swordsman and none of them could hold a candle to The Prince.. 'Even Ser Arthur'

"If I don't have the qualifications to teach men to fight then no one does" Durrandon said indifferently. He didn't particularly like showing off, however he will when necessary. 'People will walk over you if you don't show strength'

"He has indeed done well, crime is done to a 3rd of what it was before his appointment. The smallfolk have even taken to calling him Durrandon The Fair. I think the name is quite apt giving how pretty you are and how you uphold justice" His Uncle Renly said chuckling at the name

Durran caressed his chin thoughtfully and replied playfully "Hmmm, I am indeed quite handsome"

"You certainly don't get that from our Good King Robert" Renly said through laughter

He quite liked his Uncle Renly besides the fact that he was a sword swallower, he knew how to have fun. He's not anything like his stone face Uncle Stannis, though he was a bit rigid he respected the man. He may not completely agree with the man's rigid sense of duty, but it's hard not to genuinely respect a man that sticks to his principles above all else. 'Hmm i quite like my Father as well. He'd be a great friend to have if he wasn't my father'

"This water hammer you requested to build. Explain it" Uncle Stannis interrupted and asked

"In simple terms I would be using the force of the water in the Blackwater to power a large hammer" Durrandon didn't want to go to in-depth because they probably wouldn't understand and in the end it's still his business secret until he's King. Speaking of business ever since he became Commander he expanded. The people in this world love alcohol so he made Bourbon, Whiskey, Vodka, Moonshine, and some wine that's he calls Kings Blue because it uses blueberries as the base. He also introduced soap and perfume to the market. He's currently still working on improving glass manufacturing. Every single product is marked with my personal sigil, a lion with antlers. A symbol and a reminder of me and quality, their Prince that Provides.

His also has a elementary form of a spy network through taverns and the like. 'Men get loose lipped when they're drunk with a woman in their arms'

"What're you going to do with it?" Baelish asks

Durrandon looked at him like an idiot "Forge, obviously"

"Yoour grrace, iff youu could provvide a copy offff the blueprint the Citadel wou…" Pycelle started

"No, it's instrumental for my business and i won't have it distributed" Durran said coldly

"Buutt, we could improve ittt" Pycelle said with a genuine expression that only a fool would believe

"I don't need the help of decrepit old men" he said mockingly

"Enough! Pycelle it's his to do as he pleases" Jon said sternly then he looked at me and smiled "Permission is granted as long as you outfit the City Watch with Damascus Steel weapons"

"Of course" Jon wasn't asking for anything really, given that the crown will be his one day and by extension the City Watch. Not only that he was going to do it anyway. Jon was asking only for the sake of appearance.

"BROTHER!!" Cella was a cute little thing with blonde hair and sparkling green eyes, she was looked like a miniature mother.

Don scooped her up in his arms "Who made my princess cry" and asked gently as he wiped her tears

"It was Joff, he.. he cut open Ser Pounce" when he heard that his belly bubbled in anger. 'It's time I taught that little fuck a lesson'

"Where's Tommen" he saids as gently as he could through grit teeth. Cella buried her head in his neck and said through sobs "He went for mother, Joff is in the yard"

"Go, with Ser Barristan to find Mother" Don sat her down gently and continued "Don't worry I'll teach him a lesson" she nodded meekly and ran off with Ser Barristan in tow

"ILLBORN!!" Durrandon threw a wooden sword at his feet

"Pick. It. Up"

"You don't tell me what to do" Joffery sneered

~thwack~

"WHY'D YOU HIT ME?!?"

~thwack~

"AHH"

"Pick it up or I'll hit you again" Durrandon said indifferently. He glanced to the side and saw his Mother with Tommen and Cella hiding behind her skirt.

Joffery picked up the sword in a shabby stance. 'He wanted to feel strong now I'll show him just how weak he is' Durrandon thought coldly

"Come, illborn"

~thwack~ ~thwack~ ~thwack~ ~thwack~

"STOP, please" Joffery sobbed as he pleaded. Watching him plead like a coward after being so cruel made Durrandon even angrier but he suppressed it and asked indifferently "Do you know what you did wrong?"

"..."

~thwack~

"IT WAS JUST A STUPID CAT"

~thwack~

"IM A PRINCE AND I DO WHAT I WANT!"

~thwack~

"Rhaegar Targaryen thought much the same and now he's dead" Durrandon words were laced with disgust. There was only one thing he hated more than r*pe and that was pedophilia.

~thwack~

"If the next words out your mouth isn't an apology then I'll hit you thrice more" Durrandon looked at him indifferently

"Im..I'm sssooorrry" he stuttered

"Not to me, to them" Don pointed towards Cella and Tommen. Joff looked at them "Im..I'm sssooorrry"

Durrandon didn't care if he meant them, it was a start and this was to teach him some humility.

"Jaime take Joff to the maester I'll come to you after I talk to Don." His mother said as she grabbed his arm and walked off. He glanced at Joffery and saw a hurt look flash through his eyes before he hung his head low. His mother favored him and he knew that, however that's not an excuse to be needlessly cruel to your own family.

When they reached her room she turned to him with a conflicted look in her eyes and asked

"Did you have to be so hard on him, it was just a cat"

He scoffed "It wasn't just any cat it was his brothers cat, it's a cat today and in 5 years a woman"

"It's just a phase, he'll grow out of it" she said as if she was trying to convince herself

"Even if it is, he needs to learn humility" Durrandon sneered in response

"He just needs a chance, he was just looking for attention. Give him a chance, if nothing else do it for me" She grabbed my hand and asked softly. His mother didn't ask for things often and he couldn't find it in himself to decline. His expression softened "In a few years after he's finished his lessons, I'll give him a chance, if he is still…"

"He will!" She said interrupted smilingly

"We'll see"
