"But who are you to speak to me? Are you the lord of the Vale or something?" Asked Edward with a mocking tone as he noticed the changes on Petyr's face.
"No, your grace. I am just one of the guardians of Lord Robin. I am also the warden of the east until he reaches the suitable age." Said Petyr trying to coat his authority by talking about Robin's age.
"Lord Royce, can you take the young Robin outside the hall? It is not suitable for young children anyway." Said Edward as he looked at Lord Royce, who was waiting for Edward's orders from the start. He had enough with Baelish and wanted nothing more than to kill him with his own hands.
When he heard about what Lysa Arryn and Baelish did to his late lord, Lord Royce was about to attack the Eyrie with his own men but was stopped by Edward. In the end, he took charge of the Eyrie's troops himself and waited for Edward to come before taking action.
"At once, your grace." Said Lord Royce, who started making his way to the throne. Meanwhile, Petyr did not understand what Edward was planning to do with these orders, but he did not speak further or stop them.
As for Lysa, she looked at Baelish to ask him to defend her son, who was about to get taken away, but he shook his head, telling her that was fine. But the woman did not want to leave her son in anyone's hands, so she tried to attack Lord Royce with words.
"Why are you listening to that man, Lord Royce? He is not your lord, but Robin is." Said Lysa as she tried to prevent Lord Royce from taking Robin from her hands. She was shielding him against Lord Royce without leaving the chance for Lord Royce to take him.
But Lord Royce did not say a word and used a little force to take Robin from her hands. How could he answer this woman when she was the one responsible for his lord's death? If he could, he would like to strangle her with his own hands, but he had to wait for the trial.
Petyr, who saw this scene and saw how Lord Royce took the young Robin with force, started to realize that something was wrong with Lord Royce's attitude. Even the other lords did not say anything after Lord Royce took Robin based on Edward's orders.
But he did not get the chance to think more about this since Edward had him in his palm. After Lord Royce hand the young Robin to lady Anya Waynwood to take care of him outside, he returned to witness everything with his own eyes.
"Now that the child is out. Let's start your trial." Said Edward as he took his daughter's hands and climbed to the throne where Lysa and Baelish were. At that time, his men with the other Vale's knight restrained the two, taking them down, leaving them no chance to escape.
"What are you doing? I am the mother of your lord. Release me this instant, or I will kill you and your families." Said Lysa as she tried to resist the men.
As for Petyr, he did not know what was going on until this point. He was sure that he did not meet Edward for once in his life and did not do anything big enough in front of Edward to make him do this to him.
"You stand accused of murder. You stand accused of treason. How do you answer these charges?" Asked Lord Royce, who took Edward's side after Edward sit on the throne. Edward promised him that he would let the man manage this trial and did not plan to break his promise.
"I am confused, your grace. I don't know what he is talking about." Said Petyr as he looked at Edward, trying to defend himself.
"Is that so? Which charge confuses you? Let's start from the beginning. You conspired with Lady Arryn here to poison Lord Jon Arryn. You had an affair with Lady Arryn during her marriage with Lord Arryn. You conspired against Ned Stark and caused his death with the help of Cersei Lannister and Joffrey. You sent an assassin to kill the young Brandon Stark and started the war that only ended a month ago. Did not you also work with the Lannister to kill Rob Stark?" Said Edward with a mocking smile on his face as he looked at them both from above.
Edward had long intercepted the letters between those two and forged others since he knew what would happen between those two after Lysa Arryn's marriage to Jon Arryn.
Everything changed in Petyr's eyes after hearing Edward's words. It seemed that Edward had his eyes on Petyr since long ago, and this was the trap he prepared for him. But Petyr was sure that Edward did not have any evidence against him since he made sure that he did all that in secret.
"I deny it. I did not do anything of those charges." Said Petyr with a loud voice, trying to get the lords to his side by saying that. He did not know that if Edward did not have any evidence, he would still kill him since Petyr would ally with the wights to save himself if he had no other choice.
"Is that so? Read the letters between those two, Lord Royce." Said Edward as he smiled after hearing Petyr's words.
"Yes, your grace." Said Lord Royce, who smiled as well and started reading every letter that Edward gave him. Not only were there letters, but there were some witnesses to the crimes he made. Edward's men were everywhere, and they could do something like that.
From what everyone heard, Petyr had no chance to escape his death. Lysa was also in the same position, and no one of those people that wanted to marry her after Jon Arryn's death dared to open his mouth since Edward had already ordered the death of every man that had any relationship with Petyr and Lysa.
"Please, forgive me, your grace." Said Petyr as he tried to beg Edward to let him live but would Edward do that? Of course not.
"Well, let me think..." Said Edward as he got down from the throne and walked to Petyr. But in the next second, he took his sword fast enough that Petyr's head that got cut did not realize what happened.
"I think not." Said Edward before kicking Petyr's head away since he did not like the sight of this man that killed his foster father.
