Assassination of Noah?

Ken glanced at Siria. He had felt her keeping an eye on him and Eleis for a while now, but he didn't bother to disturb her. 'She should be keeping an eye on Aisa,' he deduced as he looked at Eleis, who barely paid attention.

However, Eleis was very sensitive to Ken's gaze, so she immediately knew Ken was looking at her. Ken then looked at Siria, making Eleis follow his gaze. "It seems things don't really change. In the anime, she also kept an eye on Aisa, but that was in the latter half of the day, wasn't it?" she inquired curiously, though a bit of her mind was distracted, as evident by her wandering eyes.

"Yes, and she may be in a dangerous place," he replied as he took out a small black ring that had a light red glow. This was the danger tracker Ken gave Siria to pass on to Aisa.

"Light red glow? She is surrounded by danger but not in life-threatening danger," Eleis looked at Siria again. "I don't know where Aisa is, but for Siria to step in, she should be near the devil forest or the undead's lands." She guessed, and she could be right.

Ken smiled as he watched Eleis be slightly distracted as her eyes landed on Noah, going back to her thinking.

'Noah? Possibly, but how? A man with no power can't be capable of killing someone like Siria... Unless he is connected to something or has something that can bring Siria down, possibly?'

'Highly possible but also nearly impossible... Aisa would never kill Siria; both of them are allies. Siria needs Aisa for her goal, while Aisa needs Siria to get stronger... Aisa won't be able to surpass Siria in 4 years or even get close to her level.'

'Siria should be around level 300 and she is getting stronger... Aisa would be level 500 or so in 5 years, but Siria would be beyond that, so Aisa has no chance of killing her. And again, that leaves Noah... Ken never existed in the anime... What a pain. Sigh, there could be another Valnix I am not aware of.'

'This is taking a toll on my mentality. Ken, you played me well and gave me a reason to worry more... I am on your side, damn it... Not that you know or will know of that.'

Eleis sighed heavily, portraying herself as Ken's enemy to Thraxis in every way, which consequently negatively impacted Ken's perspective of her. She gazed into his golden eyes and smiled,

'Doesn't matter, he is already mine. I need to win him fully and I will be freed,' she confidently stated in her mind as she leaned into Ken.

Ken's hand that was on her shoulder dropped to her waist, pulling her closer and making their bodies stick.

Ken's mana flared up and surrounded the place around them. Eleis looked curiously but followed suit. An individual without magic couldn't step near them without feeling pressured, making it so that they wouldn't be bothered.

Noah, who was talking to Edrea, glanced at the duo and smiled, "Well, they get along much better than I expected."

"Yeah, and they aren't supposed to cuddle here... Ken is supposed to socialize, not stay in one place," Edrea disapprovingly stated, making Noah smirk.

"Jealous that they're so free-spirited?" Noah nudged Edrea, who shrugged.

"Obviously... you spoil them. It's incredible that they don't have their noses in the clouds," he accused while passing a drink to Noah.

Noah took it and smiled, "Both Ken and Aisa were rebels. Ken, during his school days, was indifferent to all his classmates, not caring about any of them or even talking to them, while Aisa was on a different level. She was the cold queen; she never made any friends."

Noah reminisced, "Aisa changed after an incident at school, while Ken remained the same but was more open to talk after that..." his tone became a little sorrowful.

"I guess it would be really perplexing if they didn't change..." Edrea sighed as he remembered that day. He and Noah were present that day, and it also happened to be the day when the blessings were given out. "If only there were no outburst, maybe Aisa would have remained cold and distant. At least she is free-spirited now."

Noah shook his head, "Aisa is free-spirited... but her cold side still appears. She is just like her mother, never able to open up fully," he mumbled as he crushed the glass he held.

Crack!

The drink fell to the ground, shattering. Noah had his hand cut deeply and was bleeding, but neither he nor anyone else cared.

Edrea sighed seeing this. He gestured to a man standing at attention behind them, "Clean the mess up." Edrea looked at the crowd around them and was surprised by Noah's action as this was basically normal for him. "Move on already... she is gone. Maybe Ken and Aisa would appreciate another parental figure in their life," he suggested as he walked to the balcony where Siria was.

Noah frowned, "And my answer is no. They don't need another parental figure, or any for that matter," Noah wistfully remarked as he took a towel that someone passed him and wiped the blood from his hand. "Tch," he clicked his tongue as he felt a glass shard go deeper.

"Sigh..." Noah sighed as he left for a bit. Even though he was the one who hosted this celebration, he wasn't required to be present, so it was fine, but some people saw this and smiled deviously.

In the hallway, Noah walked at a fast pace, going directly to his office, but on his way, there was someone slowly coming in his direction from the front.

Noah didn't pay much attention to him and kept walking, but his unharmed hand was in his pocket holding a gun. The man passed him without doing anything, making Noah glance back. He continued to walk, but then his nose caught something.

'This smell... ethylene oxide, and in large quantities,' Noah paused as he tasted a bit of a little acidic sweetness. He recognized it as well. He turned around and looked at the man who was pointing a gun at him.

"Oh? Do you want to kill me by using gas explosions? Isn't this a new way?" Noah uncaringly questioned as he took out his gun and pointed it at the man.

"So confident, even though you are surrounded by flammable gases? Mind you, that gas is a failed experiment that is highly flammable and toxic! Are you sure you want to pull your trigger?" The man questioned as he grinned widely, "The moment you do, you will trigger the gas and make it explode. Both you and I will die," he casually said, and then...

BANG!!

Noah shot.

ZZZ ZZZZZZZ!!!!

WOFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!

And the air sparked, 

THUD!

The man's body fell to the ground limp, shot in the head but he still had a grin. 

BBOOOOOOMM!!!

Flames roared as they engulfed Noah and raged through the hallway. 

The flames started to die down, revealing the aftermath.
