11 Empty Halls, but full of Heart.

David was back on the Corvette. He trudged to the bridge as he felt no energy in his legs. The death penalty was the deletion of their character followed by a restart. The problem laid in the fact that David would never see his friends again. Jane, Fred, Peter,... All these people to us are no names, but to David they were his friends. The galaxy was large. Even if they restarted odds were they might not even see each other again even if they tried. David was now at the bridge. He didn't even see a single person on his way here. As he peaked the door open he saw Lynda and the bridge crew desperately working from the opportunity created from the deaths of half their crew. Lynda looked up and typed a message on her com-link.

"David get some rest," the message read.

David nodded and clamored to his room where he started to lie down. Then it hit him. Survivors guilt. It wasn't ever present in his mind, however when he wasn't distracted and was thinking to himself it'd hit. The self doubt permeated his soul as he thought about the decisions he made.

"I shouldn't have let the group split, I should've helped my group, I shouldn't have even recommended this mission,"

David stopped these thoughts as he heard the familiar hum of the warp drive about to take off. The whirring grew louder until.. it stopped?

David got the same feeling as when he was inside the interdictor and ran to the bridge.

"Lynda what's wrong?"

Lynda started to visible whiten and she stared at David as he walked in.

"They had a second interdictor,"

Interdictors were powerful, but extremely expensive. Unless the pilot had a special warp drive tuned to the nearby gravity, most ships had to get out of the effective range of the gravity wells that were projected out of planets. Interdictors created artificial gravity wells. In the fleet that they were up against, they shouldn't even have one. But now?

As silence permeated the bridge. Instead of greed these people all tried to figure a way out of here. They were a brotherhood who all worked together because it was fun. However they all firmly looked towards David as he was the one who brought everyone together. These no names all looked up to the legend of David. No reprimands for waltzing into the bridge and asking questions interrupting everyone, allowing David to rest in this crucial moment, all laid in the fact that David was the fuse of the team. He was seen as the silent older brother that would help in any of their strategies no matter how dumb they were, by optimizing them as much as possible.

Now they gave him the final nod to make the ultimate decision.

After a pause David said one line.

"Execute order 0,".

The bridge clamored as a fanatic gaze could be seen as they faced the Templars.
